Me and you went on a trip with Santa Barbara Drew Barrymore. And he's like, oh, my God, I must have remembered that wrong. So. So then I'm going through my phone because it's his birthday, which we're gonna talk about that too, but it's his birthday. And I'm like, let me post some throwback mani pics. And so I saw, like, me and him on the trip with Drew Barrymore. I'm like, so cute. And I see this gorgeous model woman in the corner of the picture. And I was like, who is that? I zoom in. because I've never done that in my whole life was combine our birthday with any of my friends, because I never had friends that were close to my birthday. So it was so nice to be able to, like, do something together. So we went to dinner at Isabel, which was so stunning.

It was because they had, like, a sorting hat. They had, like, a wand. Like, everyone had their own wand, and it was magnetized.

We are trauma one. Time I got lice. You got lice before in elementary school?

The whole school was ramsacked with lice.

Wait, so how do you get rid of. Is this a shampoo that you use for lice? I've never gotten lice before.

It was horrific. But I remember.

So you had bugs crawling in your hair?

I. Yes. No. Yes. And they lay eggs. And I remember being so happy when I saw one crawl. Cause I remember seeing it in my peripheral. I was like, mama, I got a lice. And so I remember you were happy about that because I had to go to school for a few days. Didn't have to. I remember I had bug. Remember specifically seeing it and being like, fuck, yes, let's go.

You see the fucking spiders crawling out of your head?

[Laura Lee]

You're like, lice, lice, lice, lice, lice, lice.

Of course, when you're a child too, you're like lice. Like scared they can move through it quickly.

But you know what's funny? They always make it seem like you have to be like really dirty to get lice. But I think you're right. I think that it's easier for lice to move through clean hair.

Cause they like clean hair. Yeah. So that's. It's the opposite. Yeah, they're like, ooh.

Like those dogs in the show that are like, this is nice. Through the follicles.

That's literally doing in my head. So, baby, don't get lice. But if you want to get it, miss a few days of school, whatever. Honestly, A few days of work. Few days. I haven't heard of license forever.

But you know, I haven't heard of license forever, so I wonder if it doesn't exist.

So we wouldn't really know about that world. Because I feel like it's more of an elementary school, like junior high, like ransack. Because the kids are all together kids, man. It's. I just know. But honestly, how does a lice start a lice outbreak? How does it start?

This is crazy. The idea of lice is actually really crazy. Cuz it's literal bugs. Bed bugs that live in your hair.

I don't know. It's really dark. We're talking about my birthday. I'm. I'm pissed. I'm pissed about this trail.

How did we get here? It was the talking about lice. I was like, how did we get here? No, but anyway, it was really, really great. I had such a lovely, lovely birthday and I loved it.

So. Okay. That's what we wanted.

And it was great. And my parents came up too. My brother, my Nick came up and my parents came up the next day to celebrate with me. So it was just nice to be around family. And they were up and then they left. So very chill weekend.

I love that. Okay, so I finished my confidence book. I think it's a fantastic book. I think if you are struggling in that category of confidence or you just feel like there's no area of your life, you really are confident. I think this would be a really good book for you because it goes through like a bunch of different steps to get there.

like, no, it really is very, very profound. And she's, like, one of my favorite writers. And I also like that her books are not thick as like, a. You know, like, they're quick. They really are a quick read. So it was fantastic. Now, I started because I love, you know, I love a memoir. Is the David. Is David Goggins book a memoir, would you say? I don't know if it's a memoir, but it's about his life story, so I guess that's a memoir. It's a book called Can't Hurt Me. It has hundred. Hundreds of. Hundreds of thousands of reviews on it.

It is. So. But if you type in the word can on Kindle, it pops up first. Like, it is.

So many people, like, talk about the book all the time. So that intrigues me. I'm like, okay, I want to, like, see what this is about, you know, because I like to flip back and forth between memoirs and self help. So I started it last night because I like to read before I go to bed.

You can't read these. You can't exactly. You can't read it before bed because

you're gonna stay up. Yeah, trust me. I know what you mean.

I'm like, close the book. Turn it off. But also, it was. It was not triggering me. That's not the right word. It was traumatizing me. Because he opens the story with his childhood and the abuse he suffers, and he goes into great detail of what abuse him, his mother and his brother suffered at the hands of his dad and how they literally, literally escaped. So, I mean, that is just, like, your job. Oh, it's. It's so horrible. So I will say, if you're triggered by anything like that, I. I don't know that this book is for you, but I think it's fantastic someone can tell their story and, like, 100.

Because he's also from the South.

I was like, he's not from the South. Okay, so he's from Buffalo, New York. But anyways, the story is. I'm only on the first chapter, so I don't know how it develops, but it's crazy. It's crazy.

I just, like. I love when there's a book that really fascinates you enough to be like, really, like, you're like, okay, wait, close the book because I can't sleep kind of vibes.

[Laura Lee]

Yes. Yeah. It's rare. It's rare to find books that are like that captivating. But they open it really well because he opens it with what a picture perfect life. They have, like, in the 80s growing up, and they live in a rich neighborhood, and they have a rich house, and everything's suburban and perfect. So you're like, okay. And then he's like, but at night, when the lights go. And it was just girl. So he knows how. Like, whoever wrote it. A ghostwriter. He wrote it. I don't know. I'm assuming he wrote it, but they know how to tell a story. They know how to tell.

He probably had, like, a ghostwriter who's writing his actual story, though. So it's like they know everything about him, but they're writing it, you know,

because the way it's written is just very profound and like, whoa.

That actually feeds into my pit because I just finished the last book of the series I was reading and that. And I literally. The next day afterwards, I literally felt like, well, I have nothing to look forward to. You know, what's so crazy? So when I talked about my stories, a lot of people respond to it saying that it's called a book hangover. Have you heard this term?

[Laura Lee]

Oh, no, I haven't.

I was. I've never heard this term before ever, ever, ever. And they're like, oh, the book hangover got you. And I was like, what is this book Hangover. So apparently it's a term where when you finish a series and you feel, like, kind of, like, depleted or kind of, like, sad that you don't have something anymore, it's called, like, a book hangover, which I didn't know that was even a thing. But I just finished my whole Acotar series, and I feel like a void because I don't have any.

You guys should recommend to Manny another, like, really good, popular series. They're gonna be like Twilight.

[Manny]

Twilight. No, Actually, you know what I got after I said that on my stories? I got a lot because Sarah J. Maas, she writes other, you know, stories not similar, but, like, you know, in a way that same kind of world. So she read. She. She has another two that I think are called, like, Crescent City and then Throne of Glass. So those are, like, the other two. And then I keep hearing about Fourth Wing. I don't know if you ever heard of the fourth wing. Fourth Wing is another, like, story that has a couple books. So I keep hearing about that too. So let me know what you guys think of the three Donald Glass, Crescent City, Fourth Wing. That I should start next of, like, a series, because luckily, the. The sixth book of the Acotar series comes out in October.

I didn't even know it could be that. That take that. But I mean, it makes sense.

Hydraulics in the tire. Like, it was crazy. Like, it's an actual car that we build. It's not like hollow. Like you can lift the trunk and see the engine. It's cool.

Have all the spirituality you have from yourself and it's about your own connection with whatever you feel is your thing, your spiritual, higher up calling, you know? know, maybe she, I mean, I don't know, I'm just guessing, but maybe she likes, like wanted more support from the Mormon Church. Or maybe she just realized, oh, a lot of my toxic Patterns has to do with Mormon beliefs because sometimes that happens within religion and like staying with men and things like that.

Yeah. I mean, who knows? And maybe it was just like, oh, maybe this, like, maybe God. Which. It was clear in her message. She was like, I still believe in God, but like, the religion of Mormon is not for me.

And most people believe in what they are taught and what they grew up going to church and whatever their parents told them to believe and whatever religion their parents were part of, that's what most people belief. And a lot of time, if enough life happens to that person, then they tend to get their own identity and their own ideas and their own belief. So, you know, it's. It's an individual. Everybody's spirituality is an individual journey. So good for her, you know, Good for her. Like, do what you need to do. I didn't really consider her Mormon. Like, watching the show. I never got like. And I. I do think she believes in God, but I just think because, like, I have seen Mormon people in like, like, it was like.

It wasn't like that. It wasn't like that. But I do feel like there is definitely a different kind of culture in Utah. Mormonism. I would. Because a lot of people, they're really shocked when they hear that I grew up Mormon.

But I'm like, why picture?

They like, they picture a very specific kind of man, you know, Very specific kind of man. But I'm like, you're thinking of, I think probably the Utah. The Utah Mormon, like, idea of what it is. But there's just so many different. Different types of people around. Obviously, like where you live, your situation, where you grow up depicts on like, your personality and how you are. But obviously you can be any religion anywhere. But there's almost like this kind of overarching idea of what a Mormon is from Utah. You know, there's almost like this thing. A Utah Mormon is different. Like San Diego.

The Mormon church has been so upset over Housewives of Salt Lake and the Mormon Wife show because of what it depicts of Mormonism. And like, all the shows are surrounding it. So I think that's why they. They're like screaming inside.

Part of me feels that they record in Utah because they want that kind of like, caricature of the Mormon there. Because you wouldn't have that same experience filming that in California.

Yeah.

And then I go look at their page and it's like they have a Bible verse in their thing. And it's like, mom of three. And I'm like, oh, my God, this is so frustrating because it's like you almost use, like, being Christian as a weapon.

Yeah.

And it's like you're using it as something that it shouldn't be. You know what I'm saying? And that always really frustrates me because that, to me is not being, like, Christian or that's not being Godlike. It's like you're using that as, like, a crutch to be hateful. And that's not what, like, God is to me. You know what I'm saying? God isn't hateful. So it's like the idea of using religion as your amplifier to hate on people or what they believe in is like the absolute opposite of.

I feel like, slowly but surely throughout, maybe the U.S. maybe the world, I don't know. But through social media and through connecting more people, because we're connected more now than ever, you know, through social media. I think, like, before in the past and maybe when we were growing up, you know, it was like, if you go to church or if you had that Bible verse, it was like, considered. You were like, holy. It was like, considered this, like, oh, you're a good person stamp in a way. But I don't think it holds to that truth and value anymore because of the old saying, like Manny was just saying. It's like as soon as you get Bible verse in the fucking profile, you're immediately like, oh, here we go, Here we go. You know, so it's like, like a lot of that has been flipped on its head because it's almost like a sign now because of the behavior. People from the church. It's almost the opposite now. And that's because constant communication is constantly sharing and showing and getting to know people more through social media. We're like, oh, we see things from out a little more for what they are. So I think times have changed. But honestly, good for Taylor now. Apparently TMZ like 3 minutes before we start filming said that Taylor was able to provide. She has a court case with Dakota due to the domestic violence. So they have a court case because she was arrested. But tmz, how does they get the police?

I don't know how tms he gets anything that they get. I think that they're paying people off. That's my opinion.

I feel like they're paying, like I say, a rogue police officer money to get information early. I think that's what they're doing.

But they have pictures of scratches and bruises on Taylor that Taylor submitted through her lawyer for her. Her court case to prove that Dakota is also abusive.

Yes. And saying like, also submitted like sexting

like crazy sex from Dakota.

So it's like she's trying to. I think she's trying to show that it's not just from her coming like that. It's not just toxicity coming from her end. And I think if you watch the show, you would know that wholeheartedly that's not coming.

I think he has full custody of their child right now.

Yeah. Yeah.

100 I think. Doesn't he? Because I know he won that. So I don't know what that looks like day in and day out for them. But knowing that I'm sure this place is gonna play a big part of her trying to get custody back of her child. It was very tit for tat on their relationship.

I was like, I feel like in the court of public opinion you would know that Dakota is toxic and that he is a toxic person as well. And that there is a cycle between them both. It's not just one sided, but I feel like it's. There's a. It's a whole different story of like actually legally proving that it's a both sided and it's like using these things like bruises and you know, text messages. I think that's just gonna obviously to help further her case that it's like, hey, it's not just me. I know I fucked up.

Yeah.

But it's not just coming from me. And that there's like definitely a. It's a two way street here. You know, there's toxicity on both sides, I think sometimes.

And listen, I think some of our audience can relate to this because nobody's perfect. But I think sometimes this is a good lesson to learn. Like staying in a toxic relationship can take you as far as getting you into a court case, fighting for your fucking child and fighting for your life because you wouldn't let the toxic relationship go. Like that is where a toxic relationship that you won't let go. And sometimes it takes moments like, like losing a show, losing custody of your child, like at your lowest low, lose it. It took her. And I hate that this happened to her. I hate it.

Let her, let her hit.

But sometimes it takes losing that much to understand. You need to get out of the relationship with Dakota. This is what it takes sometimes for people for that to like to hit rock bottom, to truly hit rock bottom with it. And I think people watching this should be a good learning lesson. If you're in a toxic that you keep going back to, this is where you'll eventually end up.

[Manny]

It's just honestly, like, like they say in the show too, it is a vicious cycle and it's something that's going to keep continuing if there is not one person that tries to break away from this circle that's happening, this infinity loop that's going on. So you really have to, you know, build up this strength to get away from a situation because it can lead to legal and just so many horrific things. I've heard so many stories too in real life of people being in toxic relationships that like, they really almost like fuck up their entire life because they'll decide to leave before they decide to leave. And it's like, see, you should have left when you saw the red flags.

[Laura Lee]

First, let's talk about how Jesse is speaking out a little more on her divorce. After her Call her Daddy episode. She did a TikTok recently just speaking out on where she's at mentally. I'm really glad that she's understanding that she has two divorces now under her belt. And that's okay, you can have three, who cares? But just understanding the pattern of how you're getting into these situations with this type of man, that's what I think is important to reflect on. She really seems like she is doing.

[Manny]

I feel like she understands that she has bad patterns and that she understands that she can get into a cycle again easily and that she, I mean, in the video she actually ends up saying that she's going on a four day mental health retreat, which I thought was really, really cool. Really interesting that she's like, I need to kind of detach a little bit, Step away and just kind of, you know, focus on yourself. And I feel like right now there's like this thing happening with what's his name?

Marciano.

[Manny]

Marciano. Marciano. And they're like doing this kind of like they're doing videos together. They've been seeing together and I've been seeing some of that, like the other, the fellow wives being like, girl, this is like crazy. Like, how could you leave one man, one toxic man, for another toxic man? And it's like, I think that when you're in again, talking about the psycho situation, she had gotten into that relationship with her ex and she, you know, got over that quickly and then got with Jordan. And she was even saying that like the one with the forgery was even worse than Jordan. Can you even imagine?

I can, I know.

Can you imagine that? But it's like, I think this is one of the things where it's like, I actually think it would be really beneficial for her. And I saw a lot of comments about this too, that it was like, if you just stayed single for a year, girl, and really focus on like your own mental health and like who you are without men. Because I think that also when you get into a relationship really young and it's a long relationship with involving children, it's hard to know who you personally are without the idea of being with a partner. And I think that's something that is so valuable and what's so great about people having, let's say, like kids later on in life, kind of realizing like, oh, this is like who I really am, what I really want. And when that happens, really, young people kind of sometimes go a little like, you know, crazy sometimes because it's like, oh, well, like they didn't get to live those lives that those years when they were young, figuring out who they were and then, you know, 20 years down the line they cheat and they have like midlife crisis, you know. So I think it'd be really beneficial for her to just take some time for herself, take the year off of dating and just like, like figure out who she wants to be for herself.

You know what I mean?

I do feel like the video with her, Marciana, they were doing press and I think they were like filming some clips for like to launch something or like to promote something.

I did not feel like they were getting back together. I could Be dead wrong. But it's just like they were shooting Content together for the day. And like Marciano, like there's a group of boys in like La Marcian's one of them. Harry Jealousy is one of them and there's quite a few others. And they just go around doing things like this for press, like to keep their name out there. And like, like they do little reality TV shows all the time. I think there's like a good group of them.

And like Marcion is just one of them. So I think they were probably just having fun together. Filming Content is what it seemed like to me. It didn't seem like she was trying to get back with him. But if anything at all, I just hope that it made Jordan not sleep for a week. That's all that I hope out of the situation. I just pray that like he lost sleep. I hope that he punched so mad. I hope he's so, so mad. And if she did it for anything,

Just let it be that. Also a video was released, a violent video of Jordan, who Jesse's one of her gay best friends. He also worked at her salon and was a very close colleague of hers. He walks up to Jordan, which is Jesse's gonna be soon to be ex husband. And this is the guy we've been fussing over for two episodes now. He walks over and shoves some birthday cake in his mouth. It's playful. Everybody's laughing, having fun. It wasn't a ton of cake. It was just like haha, like shove some smear cake. Jordan gets so fucking enraged. You should see the look on his face. He looked like he wanted to beat the shit out of someone.

Okay, moving on. Justin and Blake court case. So this finally come to head. So the final court case is going to be in May. So we are actually one month out from this whole Justin Valzone being done.

Blake Lively case that I never want to hear about ever again in my life. I never want to hear about any of this. But as it turns out, 10 of 13 of her files against him were thrown out. Now, those were the smaller little defamation. A little bit of this, a little bit that. So they threw this out. The main file was his. What was it?

It was rebuttal.

And, like, it was for harassment. Him plotting against her career, plotting the retaliation in the press. That was the main. And that one didn't get thrown out. And that one is going in front of a juror now.

Yeah. That it was, like, retaliate. I purposefully trying to, like, undermine her

and retaliate in the public eye, which would be, like, a form of defamation, like, trying to take her down. It's that he hired a PR team to do that. Yeah. And I think they probably didn't throw it out because there was some. There has to be some sort of proof, or else, you know, the judge would have thrown that out, too. Totally, totally, totally.

I do think that when you're watching, like, let's say when you're watching the press track from the movie, I don't think that Blake made herself look good doing press.

I feel like she made herself look pretty bad during press. So it's like, I don't think, like, Justin, you have to do anything in those moments throughout the press junkets that they were doing for her to look bad.

My problem is, is that they have text messages with him and his PR person where he said, I want to. Amber heard her yes. So that was my problem where that's literally blank as day. Like, he was going to go after her to try to. So I don't think she as well. I think, remember, she was like flowers and my hair care line when it was domestic violence. I do think the quote that she was saying was probably told to her from the movies. Pr.

Either way, I don't think it was going over well. I do think he probably tried to plot because he was so pissed that she hijacked the movie.

And so I think, honestly, at the end of the day, they're like, justin won this. Even though, you know, Blake's still getting some of her court cases to go to trial, they're saying Justin still won because of Blake's reputation being so tarnished. And I think her reputation is completely tarnished.

But I also think Justin is terrible. Like, I know people are on his side in this, but it's still in Hollywood.

It just. I honestly think that this situation is one of those that it's just like they've both. They both really kind of almost. They kept. They've kept bringing each other down so far into the depths of the ocean at this point that it's so hard for either them, you know, even in the public's eye, to recover. And I do think that people are more on Justin's side for sure. And I think that that's, like, where the public consensus has lied. But at the end of the day, going through something this hard for this long, it's just gonna be big. It's a big thing on you for so long, and it's like, it's a loss. It's a lose. Lose on both sides, really, because it's like, monetary. It's also thinking about monetarily. Blake obviously has more money when it comes to, like, being, you know, with Ryan. You know, like, they have, like, probably more in that way combined. Whereas Justin, obviously, like, he has money to pay that, too. But, like, the fact that these cases have cost this much and have gone for so long, it's like, monetarily, they both are like, well, I think we're going to win.

Also, it was reported that Justin Baldoni has, like, a $9 million mansion. So they said that he tried to sell, kind of rent it, sell it, try. So he started renting it out, and now he's got it back on the market at a lower rate. So it's like. Seems like he's like, okay, so. So, like, to pay a legal fee for this many Years on such a big case, you're both definitely losing. Oh, you are.

I think it's the. This is going based off of, like, principle now. I think that, like, at this point, they're both like, just running their wallets to, like, really, like, they don't really give a fuck at this point. They're like, doesn't matter how much money it cost me. Like, we're going to win. So I think both sides think that they have such strong cases.
