Quick, easy, ready when I am.
A
When it's go time, I go with Gogo Squeeze Active.

Snag yours on your next door run. Search for Gogo Squeeze on Amazon. And he's hot.
C
And he's fucking hot.
A
We are literally all going to die one day. You can't take anything with you when you're gone.
C
You can, like, have like nice things, want nice things, but you can just be down to earth.
B
Your home should be your sanctuary.
C
I agree.
B
So you want to build sanctuaries?
A
Yeah.
C
You can, like have like nice things and want nice things, but you can just be down to earth. Hey, guys, welcome back to Full coverage, your favorite podcast with your hosts Manny Mua and Lauralee.
B
And we actually have a new studio that we purchased this week. It's called Jacqueline's living room.
C
It's called her home.
A
You guys paying the mortgage?
B
Actually, Declan is sponsoring. No, actually, no. We have the amazing Jac Tory have the special Jaclyn. Tori. I want to call you Jaclyn Hill in my nature.
A
I know that's my stage name now.
B
That is for sure.
C
Oh, my God. It is your stage name. Wait, I kind of like that. You have like a stage name. That's cool. It's like Manny Mua. It's on my.
A
It's a whole thing. It's a whole thing of like the Jaclyn Hill and the Jaclyn Torrey and what to call me. And I know it's kind of.
C
I just say Jaclyn.
A
I've contemplated just changing all my socials to Tori.
B
I always call you Jack and your name is not Jack. Everyone calls me Jack. Okay. Okay. Everyone calls me, like, what I'm talking about. You're like, well, Jack.
A
Yeah, it's totally okay, 100%. Even strangers call me Jack. People in emails call me Jack. And I'm like, that's a little too much.
B
You're like, not too much.
C
You don't know me. You don't know me. You don't know me. So calls me Manny. My name's Manuel.
A
You guys.
B
I have to.
A
I feel like I Have to, like, address something. Right now, I'm trying to gather my bearings with the fact that we're recording, because we've been sitting here while Tyler sat up the microphones and the camera for, like, 40 minutes, and we have just been uncontrollably, like, kikiing and kissing our pants, laughing. So now I'm trying to, like, remind.
C
Myself, okay, remember, we're on the pod now.
B
We have nothing left to give.
C
Nothing left now that we're recording.
A
But it all shifted so quick. These two are professional. Tyler's like, are you guys ready? We're rolling. And she's like, let's go.
B
And I was like, oh, welcome to poke coverage.
C
Because we've literally been podcasting now for four years.
B
Isn't that crazy?
C
This, like, our last episode's our fourth year.
B
Oh, that's nice.
C
Thank you.
A
So you are. You're good at it. I listen to your podcast. I actually really love it.
C
Oh, I do.
B
That's so nice.
C
I love it too.
B
Me too. I love podcasting.
C
It's fun. Because, honestly, it's such a cool thing because it's such a different avenue for us because we've been obviously YouTubers forever, and this almost felt like it was like an evolution in a weird way, where it's like, you just go to that next level. Even though we're still doing the same things. It's kind of like, oh, this is like a different version of us. It almost feels like my most authentic me in the pot.
A
Agree.
C
You know what I mean? Because I'm like. I feel like I can key the most.
A
Yeah.
C
Here. And then I'm like, the. More like, you know, professional.
A
Don't you find it kind of interesting, though, that, like, even as like, a consumer of social media, I feel like even I can be this way at times. Like, we allow people to get away with more on podcasts than we do in just regular content.
B
Because I feel like you get so much more context on a podcast. Like, if you're in it deep with a full conversation for 40 minutes and then someone says something, you're like, you're with them. That was why they said, get away with more. And you can be more honest, little more real, and say a little bit more because you get so much more of them. But I feel like whenever it's like a TikTok or just a YouTube video and you catch those couple blurbs, you're.
C
Like, damn, what the hell you doing?
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. It's so true.
B
But we have Jacqueline here today because she's One of our closest Judy's. We love her so much. And you guys know we have an illustrious history with Jaclyn Hill.
A
We sure do.
B
We sure do. So we thought it would be so much fun to play the OG chat BT quit. What is it called?
C
Chat ChatGPT. It's basically. It's like not even a thing. We just. You. I saw you post this on I.
A
Did it and then Nikki did it. Nikki tutorials. And I've seen a few.
C
And it's like a quiz.
A
Yeah, yeah. People commented like a few OG beauty gurus. Are we still calling ourselves that?
B
Guru.
A
But a few other OGs commented on my real and was like, okay, now I'm trying this. But I literally. Jordan's the one that came up with it.
C
It's so cute because we started using.
A
ChatGPT for literally everything, you guys. I swear to God, it's so hard not to, though.
C
It's so hard not to.
B
You guys.
A
I saw the other day that there was like this thing posted that was like, Chat GPT is now being used in a court of law. So if you do something illegal, they will go through Chat GPT.
C
And I was like, oh, God.
A
I would be the person to be like, where do I bury it?
C
But it's so true.
B
It's like, how do I the history of Chat gbt.
A
I asked Chat everything. I take pictures of my house and I'm like, I don't like the way this is decorated. Help me.
B
I feel like I need to use it.
C
Wait, I need to use it more like that.
B
I feel like I need. I don't know.
C
I'll just ask you questions when I really am just like, I'm stumped. I can't do something.
A
Oh, but I never am.
C
Like, hey, I have it.
A
Rewrite emails for me.
B
That's what I use it for. I use it for emails.
A
Difficult conversations.
B
I my number one. Or sometimes this is sociopathic. But if I want to leave a really sweet comment and I'm like, I just can't find the exact word. I don't like that.
A
I don't think that's sociopathic.
B
I'll go in there and just pick up a couple words that, like, I want to say, but I just can't think of. You know, I don't want to be like, love this and it's something. So you want to be someone, like having a baby or something. Love this. You know, I want to.
A
I get it.
B
You're not in the middle.
A
You're not able. I don't struggle with that. Because I'm a cancer, so I'm always.
B
God, I'm married to a cancer. I know you. I know you.
A
Always ready to give out my words of love.
B
Always. I need to just text you. Jacqueline, give me some more sub right now.
C
I'm a virgin.
B
So I'm analytical. I'm analytical. I'm detail oriented. Like, I'm very business minded. So I'm like, yep, what the hell do I say?
A
I literally was pissed off at someone the other day, and I wrote out a text, copy and pasted it, put it in chat, and I said, soften this up for me and make it more gentle.
B
See, I didn't know you could even do that.
C
That's so smart, because chat really can really do anything.
B
I feel like I'm not utilizing it the ways that I could.
A
Ye.
C
I'm like, no, you're not.
B
You're not.
A
Because I would say I talk to it all day long. Like, I ask it probably 10 questions a day. And when you first started, Jordan was like, you should. We were sitting at dinner one night, and he was like, let's ask chat to, like, quiz us on stuff. And so he came up with it. Sitting at dinner. He was like, quiz. Quiz my wife on old school. Like, OG beauty guru, whatever, from, like, between the years of, like, 2012 and 2017.
B
And this is where the idea was born.
A
And then I was like, wait a second, I should film this. This is so much fun.
C
It's so fun.
B
Ye.
A
And that's when the idea was work.
B
And so now we were like, that is the most genius podcast episode. And then we were like, what? Oh, gee, can we have on to, like, quiz? And then we were like, hello. The, like, queen of. The queen of. Oh, geez. Like, no shit. So really, Jacqueline, you have to come do this episode with us. But first we have to start with peaks and pits.
C
You're going to start with starting or pit, whichever you want to start with first.
A
I was telling Manny and Laura before we started that I was very stressed about my pit because there's so much going on in my personal life right now that I'm not comfortable disclosing, especially because this isn't my podcast and this isn't the time, but there's just so much going on that I'm like, there's such heavy pits that I'm not talking about. So I was like, what's a pit that I can just, like, come up with in the moment? And honestly, what it is, is hurting my back. I hurt my back. I Literally woke up one morning, I was working out. I did like a nighttime workout and I felt like my lower back felt kind of weird. And I was like, oh, what is that? That's weird. I've never had back pain in my life, but I was fine. And then I went to sleep and I woke up at like 5am and I was like, oh, my God, I can't breathe. Like, my back pain hurts so bad that just to breathe hurt. And I dislocated a rib, basically, like, slipped out.
C
Yep.
A
Went got X rays and then did physical therapy for four weeks.
C
And you can't deeply, Right.
A
Can't inhale deeply, can't lift anything, can't bend over. Like it was. And then on top of it, I was traveling the whole time. Like, we had all these things that we were committed to. So I was traveling and doing staycations and vacations. I had house guests. And at one point I was just on the couch with lidocaine and ice packs with house guests here, like, trying to host.
C
Yeah.
A
And it just made me really grateful that I don't usually struggle with back pain. And it also reminded me, like, it sounds so silly, but it's like I should just wake up in the morning and be grateful. Like, thank you, God, that I'm not in pain today.
B
Wow.
A
And like, also thank you that, like, it is a privilege to be able to move your body. It sounds cheesy.
C
No, but it's true.
B
Not until you have back pain. And then it's like all the regular things you start to think about, you take for granted. Really.
A
And I'm like, I will complain. I don't want to work out today. And now I'm like, girl, my back is okay today.
B
I'm going to work early.
A
At least you can at least.
B
Oh, my God.
A
So that's my. And it's getting better. I still haven't worked out yet though, because the doctor hasn't cleared me. And that's my pitch is that I haven't been able to work out now in five weeks. And I'm kind of going insane. I'm going insane. Especially I'm going through so much of my personal life and like, that's a therapy. And I'm like, I'm going a little.
C
Resource to get out the.
B
The term oceans. Well, working out releases emotion. You're like a super emotional and you never work out. Honestly, you should look into it because it is truly scientific fact that working out releases emotions.
A
Oh, yeah. So, like, the amount of times I've been in the Middle of working out, I'll just start bawling my eyes out. I'm just like, stupid. This just feels so good.
B
It's like a release. That's what it is. You're releasing your emotions. It's so good for you. Because every human has, like, emotions and things happen and pent up stuff. That's why it's so important. Important to work out your body. But we were like. Humans were like, created to move our bodies. You know what I mean?
C
Hunting, gathering, by the way.
B
Exactly. Like, we were born in the W. We were meant to, like, move. And that's why our science is what it is. But yeah. So damn. That sucks though.
A
It does suck. I'm very excited to work out again. I cannot wait.
C
I sneezed and that's happened to me before, by the way. I sneezed wrong. I told Laura and I was like, laura, I was getting in my car and I sneeze on the side and I had back pain for two weeks.
B
Are we couldn't breathe.
A
It's giving 30.
C
It's giving 30. I could not. When you say that I was like, I couldn't inhale. I get to. I would say that that point and then I couldn't breathe anymore. It would take my breath away, truly. And it's nothing like I've felt before.
A
Some people, they only have the deal with pain for a couple days. Others, it's up to six to eight weeks.
B
And I'm like, okay, okay.
A
Well, of course I'm dealing with it.
C
Of course.
A
I'm like, that's mine was like.
C
I would say like two to three weeks. It lasted.
A
That's. Yeah. No, it's awful.
C
It's the worst. Couldn't do anything.
B
Should I do some do pit? I'll do. I don't know my pit.
C
Do peak.
B
I'll do peak. I'll do pe. I got my peloton, you guys. I talked about my pelon Peloton treadmill and I finally got it. It came in. It came in this morning, so I haven't even stepped on it yet. But Jacqueline has the one that I got and has already given me all the hot tea on it. And she said I got the best treadmill.
C
Shockingly beautiful. Like, I've never seen it.
A
Such a good peak, too, because it's so exciting. Like, I swear, I think I threw a party for my peloton.
B
I think I need to, right?
C
Yeah, I think you do. We're all going to come over, we're going to run on it for five minutes. Everybody gets her every gets five minutes. Yeah, right?
B
Yeah.
A
You're going to love it. It's. It's like the. It is the best treadmill of all time.
B
I cannot wait. Also, Karen, you know, she's a runner, and she was telling me, like, it will really get your running game on, like, the peloton treadmill. Because my.
A
It's got the track that you run on it. It's got the outdoor scenes. Yeah. It's got so many options.
B
She was like, it is going to elevate your run game because the one I had was just the biggest piece of shit. Like, it was like, falling apart. And then it broke down finally, which I should have got and just invest it in myself.
A
But I have.
B
But I have that Southern way of thinking where I'm like, can't do it till it breaks down. 20 more years.
C
And luckily, you actually run outside too. Like, you do outside running.
B
I do. That's all I do is.
C
Yeah.
B
I don't run on my treadmill because it was so bad.
A
I fear you're gonna be addicted.
B
Oh, I'm so excited running every day. Also, I. I was telling my. The podcast earlier in an episode. I was saying, like, I don't know what to do with my old treadmill. Like, how the do you get rid of it? Peloton will take your treadmill. Take your old one. So, so good. They're like.
C
They just make it better.
A
Call it off.
B
So they. Yep. They pick up your old treadmill and replace it, baby. They said, honey, you pay that bill.
C
Then you're gonna get. We're taking.
A
Yes, we will.
B
Set you up, girly. So I didn't even have to worry about it. That's cool. Maybe that's my p. My pit. No, they're all good.
A
It's all good.
B
I'm not excited at all.
A
You're gonna be. So when you run on that thing for the first time, you're gonna. It's gonna change your life. I'm so gonna be so excited.
B
I go run on yours.
A
Yeah. Give her a little test drive.
B
Let me see.
A
You'll love it. You'll love it.
B
You know what? Let's go. Manny. What's going on with you, boo?
C
I'll do my peak then, too. I am still talking to the same person. This is a big deal, you guys. Okay. This is really. I'm almost a month in of talking to someone.
A
Manuel.
C
I know. I know where we. And we're still. I talked to, like, the pod two weeks about it, and I was like, oh, My God, like, I'm talking to someone. I'm really interested. And now we're still talking to him.
B
And he's hot.
C
And he's hot.
A
He's really hot.
C
I'm gonna show you him. You're gonna. You're going to scream because it's literally like. It's actually so crazy because he's so my type. On paper, it's not even funny. And he's my age, which doesn't really, like, tend to happen for me. It's like, I'm like, they're either younger or they're a lot older. So it's like, how do we feel.
A
About Manny being in a serious relationship? Like, I know you're not in a serious relationship.
C
Right.
A
But like, you, he's just always been yours.
B
Right? Right? Honey, spread my wings and let that.
C
Let that, like this. Laura's like, finally. No, but I'm. I'm excited. But the thing is, I was saying, like in the. But the shitty part about it is that he doesn't live here. He doesn't live.
B
There's always a caveat.
C
There's always a caveat, which is frustrating. However, I'm so hyper independent in my real life that I don't know if I really need someone, like, right in here as I'm getting to know someone right next to me at all times.
A
You know, I kind of love that.
C
For you because I actually am not, like, seriously, I don't know, because I think I've gone my whole life without being in any serious relationships. I learned all these, like, tools and mechanisms to be so self soothing in a way. And I'm so self sufficient with what I have. You know, I live alone, so is.
A
He in the state of California? Okay, so you guys are flying to each other. So you fly to him, he flies to you.
C
Well, we haven't yet. This is. We're still in the. We're still in the beginning. Very beginning, but very. We already have it planned, actually.
B
So it's like they send each other videos too. So, like, they know each other.
A
Yeah, but they're gonna have to have. I went through this. I went through this with my. With my first marriage. I went through the awkwardness of. Okay, when we first see each other, do we kiss immediately?
C
Yes. You know, which is funny because I guess I know him quite well, actually.
A
You don't know what he smells like?
C
No. Yeah. Don't know a lot.
A
Does his breast stink? Does his breast. Oh my God.
B
He has halitosis and he never told you? Halitosis?
A
But, like, also, you haven't even gotten to fall in love with his smell yet. Like. Like, those are all such exciting things.
C
Yeah. There's, like, a lot of firsts, actually. I'm gonna be having a lot of.
A
And, like, seeing him in person, everything is always different. It's like, okay. Oh, my gosh. Okay. There's a little bit taller than I thought or a little bit shorter or maybe. And then you hug their body and you're just like, oh, my God. Like, just. I. I get it.
C
Yeah. That. So I'm like, I'm really interested. I'm really excited.
B
When they.
C
Get to know each other, it will be.
A
And that means I'm not surprised.
C
I wouldn't be surprised.
A
You get to know someone so well because, like, with. Here I go talking about John, but with John, we were friends for years, but then we didn't see each other for, like a year and a half. And we both changed and grew and whatever. And during that time, we, like, re. Got to know each other through FaceTime. That at the time, we, like, talked.
B
Whenever you guys started.
A
He was in Boston.
B
I didn't know.
A
Living with his family. Yes. I didn't know he was living with his family in Boston, Massachusetts. We didn't see each other for a year and a half between being friends and dating. And we started dating after that time.
C
Yeah.
A
Called me one night, and I was like, hey, I heard you and your boyfriend broke up. Me and my girlfriend broke up. Like, how you doing? And we just, like, instead started talking.
B
Yeah.
C
Wow.
A
And when we first saw each other, even though we had already known each other, it was just, like, weird because we're like, we've been talking for two months, every day, all day, seeing each other on FaceTime. Well, at that time, it wasn't FaceTime. It was like, whatever that video chat thing was.
B
Yeah, whatever. Yeah. Thank you to Shopify for sponsoring this portion of full coverage. You guys. I've been with Shopify since the beginning of running my business. Minimal. A manny has used them for years and years with Lunar Beauty. And it is one of the most complicated, frustrating things with owning a business is running that back in running your website and trying to get the best of the best out of your platform for your business. But that's why Shopify is here. Shopify is a commerce platform behind millions of businesses around the world and 10% of all e commerce in the US from household names like Mattel to Gymshark to brands just getting started. They really are great for everyone.
C
And honestly, the cool thing about it too is that like, you know, Laura and I, we don't have huge teams, but Shopify helps you handle anything from website design to managing inventory to customer service, global shipping, all in one place. So it's like, let's say if you don't have a massive team, Shabbati has such an amazing resource for you. There's just so many of them. Actually, there's a gazillion resources. So I think it's absolutely an incredible, incredible resource for people who are starting their business. And even if you have a business, maybe just switch on over, it's so easy to do it, turn those what ifs into and keep giving those big dreams the best shot with Shopify. A
The first, like, hug and kiss is so awkward because you're just like, how do you act? You're almost like, so weird. And then you find your flow.
C
Yeah, absolutely. That's like, honestly, I meant, like, those are all things I was like, kind of expecting too, because I've never really. I've actually, my whole life up to this point, I've been like, even the idea of them being not in the same city as me, I was like, no, I'm never going to date someone that's on the same. Yeah, I would write enough quickly because I'm quite grown that I'm literally like, well, I actually have the ability to fly wherever I want whenever you've got.
A
The perfect career for it. You're established, you have the money to afford plane tickets.
C
I feel like I'm like, well, I'm.
A
So independent it's kind of like the best of both worlds.
C
Literally.
B
I'm like, almost. This could be better.
C
Honestly. Maybe literally. Sometimes I actually do get out my face and avoid it.
B
Yes.
C
Yes. Maybe it's like I'm kind of like, what if this is actually, like, going to be quite good for me?
B
And that way you guys can slowlier connect and. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
You both. You get to have your free.
C
Swear to God, you get to know someone in a different way when you're talking from a distance than you are like, let's say right next to you.
A
Because you haven't physical anything involved.
C
Yes.
B
Wow.
C
It really is kind of like you said, love is blind in a way where it's like, you have to know someone in that more deeper connection. Even though I'm very charged to him and that's why I, like, wanted to even talk to him. But, like, there's something. Something about it where it's like, oh, I'm actually getting to know you. And it's not just about being like, physical.
A
That's so exciting. I'm so excited. Seriously.
C
It's really. It's quite. It's quite new. It's obviously, it's quite recent. So it's like a. To work. You know, we're working on it, but I'm excited right now. I'm in the excited era.
B
That's so beautiful. And I love it. I always know. And I said. I've said this before on the podcast. I always know when mayonnaise fallen or like, talking to someone because I get way less test text because I know this is busy right here. This is busy. Yep. And no, I want you to. I want that, like, I know your journey and like, I get excited. I'll be like, oh, Manny hasn't texted me in a while. I'll be like, he really likes this guy. That means he really likes this guy. Like, I know. And I always want. Not that I ever put pressure. I'm never like, find someone ever. But whenever he does, I'm always excited. I know what it's like to have a partner to be in love. Yeah.
A
I want. You want that for him.
B
I do. I want that for. There's nothing better.
A
There's nothing better than having a true partner.
B
Right.
A
I know. I'm.
B
When you have a good partner in your life.
A
Yes.
B
Life is just better.
A
I think that's like a huge yes.
C
Yeah. It's like a really cool, like, aspect of it. I'm not really, obviously got to experience that, but I would like to experience it.
B
Yeah.
C
At least once.
B
You know what I mean?
A
You deserve just like the best guy ever. You really are the full package.
C
I also am like, I'm not the type that, like, settles. That's why. So that's also why relationships and I know who.
A
Whoever you end up with is going to be such an awesome person.
C
Really cool. Because I don't. I don't really like, allow people. Guys into my life that I don't really give a. I don't really waste my time with it anymore. I think I wasted my time a little bit more in the past.
A
Yeah.
C
I was younger and I really didn't care about.
B
You're probably learning too what you wanted, you know, with all the guys.
C
Yeah, I literally do. So funny. I went out like a couple weeks ago, like maybe like two weeks ago, and I got hit on like four times. And I literally was like feeling yourself. I was feeling the fantasy. I was feeling so sickening. But I was like, no, I can't. Sorry. Even though I. There's nothing. Like, I wasn't even interested in any of the guys. I was just kind of like, well, you know, I'm good. I'm good for now.
A
Oh my God, I love it.
C
So we'll see.
A
So excited for you.
C
We're gonna. We're gonna. I'll continue the. On the pod too.
A
He's gonna watch this.
C
No. Okay, tell me. He's like, I need to listen to your podcast. No, you don't. I always tell. And he watched like. Well, he watched my live once when I was doing a lunar beauty and I literally wanted to go like this.
B
Freak out, Manny. I was freak out.
C
I didn't get to watch the whole thing. I only like for a little bit. I go, not the. I just thinking of me in the life. Hey, guys, you got about 10 seconds.
A
You get the absolute worst.
C
Only five left. Who's going to get the last five? I literally was like, I'm going to. I'm going to end it off.
B
Manny, you just triggered me.
C
I know, I know, I know. I'm like, so imagine how I felt. And I'm like, you. You watch time in my life. He's like, yeah, you're selling a lip oil. And I'm like, no, I wasn't it. No, I wasn't get off my tik tok. So. Hey. So I actually never want to see again FaceTime anywhere. So there's that. So imagine me.
B
I'm so real thing.
C
It's so real. I'm like, don't watch me.
B
Literally the worst thing that a love.
A
Interest could watch ever.
C
Ever. The thing is, because he actually knows, like, that I'm manning away. So, like, that's nice because I tend to not hide it. But I don't want to want that to be the forefront of my thing anymore. Like, I don't want. I don't. That's why I even have a whole nother Instagram. Like, I don't want that to be the forefront of, like, every aspect of my life.
B
Right.
C
But he knows that I'm any mua. So, like, there's. That part is already kind of nice. It's nice.
B
It's nice.
C
I don't have to worry about, like, hey, so I'm actually.
B
And he knows that you like to wear. Not that you like to wear makeup that you do sometimes. It's all out there for him. And it's nice that all those band aids are ripped off. And he's seen you on live, which is the worst thing he could have.
C
Ever, ever seen in me. It's the worst version. He has seen you.
A
Okay, man, you no longer have to wor about what he thinks you naked because you lied.
B
He saw you live.
C
Okay? You saw me on a live.
B
Selling my product so horrible.
A
I swore I live oil 5 quick. I was gonna get the last with.
B
A comment says, like, you're a loser piece of shit. Yeah, you fucking loser.
C
And I'm like this.
B
You're like, thank you for degrading me while I already feel degraded. Thank you so much for that. To reassure live.
A
I've never done a live.
B
We're so proud of you.
C
How do you proud?
B
I mean, hey, Jacqueline, we're proud of you for that.
A
My partner said we want to do a live. I said, let me shut down the business instead.
C
I feel like you're know what? No, actually, I want to close the business instead.
B
Yep.
A
Actually, you're fired.
B
Yep.
C
Actually. Hate that.
B
Hate that. Yep. So we're gonna close everything.
C
Yeah.
B
Because you suggested that.
C
How dare you suggest that.
B
Because you suggested that we're shutting down all the business.
C
Exactly. It's just hard doing it for years. Oh, miss Man, I can't with my cat.
B
I love her so much.
A
Yes, of course.
B
Yes.
A
My cat is distracting them off camera right now.
B
Ms. Marty, every time I walk into Jacqueline's house, I pass all three dogs and I go. I'm like, can I touch Marty?
A
Where is the cat?
B
You have to let her come to you. You know, See, she's showing butt.
A
The butthole of the camera.
B
Y right now. There's a Cat. She's literally like, do you know who loves you? Is she me?
A
Oh, she said happy girl. She has sat. Yeah, she's happy girl.
B
She knows who loves the baby.
A
It's so interesting how cats do that. Like, they do know who, like with.
B
Them and who doesn't know. They have a way. I have a whisper.
C
She does have a cat whisper.
B
I have a whisper. She's purring. She loves pretty girl.
A
Pretty girl. Oh, okay, where do we land?
C
So I'm done with my. That was my peak.
B
So.
C
Yeah, so now we're going to peak.
A
What good is in my life? Oh, yeah, no, I know what my. My peak is. My peak is being home. Yes. We have done meeting. Me and Jordan, we've done so much traveling recently, and it's been all amazing travel. Literally, like, all things that we scheduled for ourselves. And it's just been, like, the best trips, the best time, and it's been such a busy summer. Like, we've just been so busy, but it's been amazing. But I'm so happy to be home right now. I am so happy to be here this episode. I'm so happy to be next Friday.
B
Yep.
C
I'm so happy to be at your home right now.
B
Me too, as a matter of fact. Me too.
C
I'm so happy to be in this home right now.
B
Me here, guys.
A
I just love my home. I'm a cancer. I'm just homebody.
C
You're homebody?
A
I'm such a homebody. I thrive in my home. And as I've gotten older, I just love a routine. And I've never been like that my whole life. But something happened around, like, 32, 33 years old.
C
Started activating.
A
I need my routine because my routine is like, I wake up, I'm immediately out of bed. Blinds open, brush my teeth, take my supplements, and I usually even look at my phone until I've been awake for, like, 20, 30 minutes. Unless it's a weekend. That's so good because it's like, that just gets me, like, flowing through the day. But anyways, being home is my peak. Having just, like, my space, I can.
B
Travel to the best place in the world. And when I come home, I'm like, there is no better place on Earth than being in my home.
A
There's no better place on earth than my shower and my bed. My.
B
The bed.
C
Your clean shower sheets. Yes, yes, yes.
A
I don't care where I'm staying. I could be staying, like, at the queen's palace, but I'm gonna come home and, like, cry in my shower and.
B
Be like, shower, I love. And your pillow, your blankets.
C
It's like your own comfort. It's like the little comforts.
B
Your home should be your sanctuary.
C
I agree.
B
And we built sanctuaries is what we've done, all of us.
A
I take it very serious.
B
Oh, yeah. And me and Jacqueline were just talking about how whenever you come back from a trip, it takes you a few days to get back into your routine, to get everything, like, back on track.
A
Why is that? I have to be excited. So clean my house.
B
Yes. Like, you have to clean the whole house.
A
I have to clean the whole house.
B
You have to clean the whole house when you get home, even though you clean right before you leave. It doesn't matter. It does not.
A
I do a goodbye clean and a welcome back clean.
B
Yep.
C
I don't either of those things.
B
Manny, I love you so much.
C
I don't do a single one. And actually, I make sure my cleaning lady comes the day I arrive.
A
I love you. I love you.
B
We're like, we have got to clean before, clean after. Fly in someone to clean up a tournament. This. Yes, I know.
A
Literally, I had my house. I had housekeeping while I was gone. I came home, I'm like, I can't wait to clean this place.
B
It's healthy. This place is a filthy man.
A
It's just this feeling within my soul. I just know you can.
B
Do you know what it is psychologically? Because, you know, I always go there. So whenever we clean and straighten things, it keeps us in control. So whenever we.
A
Oh, my God, Laura.
B
Need control. We clean.
A
I'm so glad you said that to me, because I told you, I'm going through some shit recently.
B
Have you been cleaning a lot?
A
Like a.
B
Have you been organizing a lot lot? You're looking.
C
Remember today? She literally went crazy holding his finger.
A
When you guys walked in the house, I said, I've reorganized everything in my house twice.
B
Do you know why you did that? Because things are feeling out of control, and you're looking for control, and you don't even realize that's what you're doing. But do you know that that's a healthy Kofi mechanism? That's healthy.
C
Hey, it's better than drugs.
B
Exactly. It's healthy. That's a healthy thing to go to. So what you're doing is the right thing.
A
Wow.
B
Your body and mind needs control.
A
There's a lot of stuff going on on that I'm not in control of right now. And so that's what I'm doing. I'm literally just Organizing everything. I'm like, oh, I need to film content. I'm like, I can't. I have to reorganize my drawer.
B
Yep. Because you're looking for control and it does give you control because what you're doing is controlling things that you have control over.
C
So when you see it, feel that it makes you. Gives you peace. Because you literally just did something.
B
It does.
A
You probably feel like, well done. Yes.
C
When we were filming me, Laura, filming in the pod yesterday as well. And also you should. We've got there. Of course.
B
Course Day too.
C
A little crying doesn't help. Doesn't. Doesn't hurt. We literally, when we got in, I got to. We got. We sat down and we're like, we just like organized for the past. Like, for the next like three weeks. We were kind of like, okay, we're do this, we're do this. And afterwards I literally was like, on the world right now. I literally just felt. Because we organized, we like controlled what it's going to be for like the next three weeks.
A
Oh, I get it.
C
And I was like, it's like almost like a plan. Like we plan just like, yeah, tell me nothing.
B
And you should. After you clean and organize, you should walk in those rooms and absorb it. Like, you shouldn't just do it. Walk away. If you absorb it, it makes you feel higher.
A
Yeah.
B
It like gives you a grat. Like, oh, like you.
A
I get it. And then it's like every single time I open up that drawer.
B
You should. You should admire your work because it also is a dopamine hit.
A
Oh, my God, I love that. So always has like the best little insights from all of her, like, self help books and her podcast you've done. And you. This was not you eight years ago.
B
No, like, you went.
A
You went through some.
C
You work through it. Like, you work to get to it.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
I really appreciate you saying that.
A
Oh, no, you took your lows and made them your highs for sure. Because I swear to God, after you go through your cancellation and losing your mother, you really took it and made it your power. You did well.
B
Now I'm going to cry.
C
We're great.
A
She said earlier all she has to do is text me and I'll have words for her.
C
Yes, yes. It's the cancer to in you.
B
I love my express.
C
You like to express that you care for people.
A
I do.
B
I do.
C
And it's something I even know literally Jack text. Like, just want you guys to know I love you guys. And I was about to cancel and I did that's you know, I really love, you know Mike this episode is sponsored by Better Help. You guys. A
I love you guys so much.
B
Well, I was saying after we were recently at an event and I was saying how much I love you, and because I was like, jacqueline does not have the LA is. And I specifically said this, I was like, she's like a breath of fresh air in Los Angeles.
C
Confirmed. Because she told this to me.
B
That's so sweet, you guys.
C
We literally had a full deep dive about, literally you. About how good you are.
B
And I said it's because Jacqueline does not have the LA essence in her. When she walks in a room, everybody's so excited to meet her, but she doesn't have the stink on her of, like, I'm better than you. Everybody's ready to meet me. Like, she. You're just so aloof to that. Like, you just walk in as Jaclyn Hill and you don't. Not that you don't care. They want to meet you. You care so much, but it doesn't go to your ego at all. Like, it's just like, you guys are sure I literally said this?
C
She did.
B
And it's like, people kiss other people's ass when you walk in a room. You just, like, don't care how many followers anyone has. And no one in LA is like, that. No one. And you're just like, oh, cool, you got 16 million people followers. Cool. Don't care.
C
Yeah. It's the truth, though.
B
I. I couldn't show the same amount of attention to a girl that just hit 100,000 followers. You show the exact same amount of attention to that girl as to the girl who has 10 million followers. And no one does that. No one does that. And I watch you, and I'm like, that's Florida. This girl is so pure and so holy that it's just like. I was like, h, it's just like a breath of fresh air.
A
Are literally making me get so genuine.
B
It's so real and genuine. Like, it's real. And I'm like, h, it's so nice to be around that.
C
We were having a deep combo about it.
A
We did literally the nicest thing ever. I want to, like, soak that in. I'm like, okay, I should. You guys could cut now because you're.
B
Like, I'm rewatching that because I said it when you weren't around.
A
It's so sweet, you guys. That means so, so much to me. I mean, just my personality. I'm always like, I wonder, like, what people think of me now that I'm.
B
Here and I Think you're wonderful.
A
And I don't think that much of you guys. I've known you for so long. But I do think that because, like, I've always lived in. And I was going to say la. I've always lived in Florida. So living here now and being more like, face first at these events, I'm like, I wonder if people, like, don't like me or I wonder what they think of me now. So, like, just hearing different. Yeah. And I definitely don't feel like I fit in at these events. I don't. That's just like my own. That. That's just like my own way of.
B
You have no essence of. I'm trying to be cool. Like, you don't have this, like, try hard, like, pick me. Like, notice.
C
It's hard to explain.
B
It is.
C
Explain.
A
It's an energy.
C
We literally just felt it really recently, and we just had this deep dive about it because we were talking about things that happen at this situation, and I was just like, girl, sometimes these people are just like this. It's so frustrating. And then we were like, thank God we have Jacqueline. We literally said, that's how.
A
That's how I feel about having you guys, though. You guys are literally the realest.
C
Felt that we were down on earth as all of us. And I feel like there's, like, you can, like, have, like, nice things. I want nice things.
B
Things.
C
But you can just be down to earth. And I think that's like, the big difference because sometimes people, like, act like they're on their high course. Of course, maybe. But that's not what I believe.
B
That's not the same thing. You're allowed to want a bougie life and rich things and have great things and not have an ego about it. And you just don't.
C
You know, you're gonna like what you like and go on what you want. But for example, like, us just grabbing pizza and just chilling and like, sometimes people don't want to just do that.
A
Oh, trust me. They want to do, like, the thing about la.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, so many people don't even want to get dinner with you unless it's somewhere where the paparazzi are sitting out. Yes. I'm like, God, like, why can't we just be normal?
B
Right? Yeah, it's weird.
A
It's smoke and mirrors, this industry.
B
Smoke and mirrors. That's exactly what it is.
A
It is.
C
It was Hollywood first, and now it's influence. It's like.
A
It's like heartbreaking.
C
It just constantly. That's just what it was.
A
It's hard and it's also heartbreaking. Like being such like a pioneer of the industry and like, hello. It literally was. How did it go? I started first and then wasn't it you? Then you.
C
Sorry, I started. Yep.
A
But yeah, so it's like watching it go from absolutely nothing to now. Like, you know, these content creators being considered celebrities at this point.
B
Right.
A
It's like, it's just so weird to watch it go from something so cutesy and so simple. It's like become so entitled and people just so entitled. I think it's very word.
C
I think that's what it is.
B
It's the entitlement energy. Yeah. That you're lacking. But it's very confusing because all that you have and have accomplished and online and in your personal life, you have the biggest boulder of entitlement. You could.
C
Oh my God.
B
You could, you could.
A
I think that. I think that God genuinely put me through my hard times with, you know, having so many addicts in my life. Yeah. And also being so broke and being on food stamps. Although it was a short period, it was a two year period. It was so damn difficult. And I think that I went through that so that now, like current day, I had so much success with like all my morphe palettes and makeup and all of that money has always been like, I've always given it back to people and at the end, always, I've stayed humble.
C
Yeah. Because I'm like, oh, hell.
A
I know. It's just. Yeah, it's just. It's rough and I know how rough it is and I have a heart for people who are going through stuff like that, so.
B
You really do.
A
I just don't think that there's any time more room for the energy of people being better than others or treating others in different ways. Like, I'm like, guys, we are literally all going to die one day. You can't take anything with you when you're gone. And it's that simple.
B
No, it really shows like, it shows like, I feel fill it.
A
God. You guys, I'm like, are we even going to play the game?
B
Like, the game we have. We have one brain cell.
A
The game.
C
That was not planned.
A
Guys, the lighting is literally going to leave us.
B
I know.
C
Okay.
B
My God.
A
We're starting.
B
We're starting.
C
We should, we should. Even though I don't think we did our other parts of our pits.
A
You didn't even say your pit.
C
Okay. My, my quickly, my quick. It is the fact that when we were flying back from Florida, we had.
B
Kim, would this be a joint?
C
It's joint with the joint.
A
Done.
C
So we had. So there's one person that's in front of me that was just. He was on a sick one.
A
Okay.
C
The second he gets in, he looks at the woman. He's like, I just want you to know that I'm going to probably sleep on this flight. And if I lean on you, I'm just like, go ahead and just move. Were like, just so loud, so intense, so obnoxious. The second before we take off, he puts a seat all the way back.
B
And what you can't do until you.
C
Take off, it comes up. And he's like, hey. Like, you have to move it. He's like, oh, my God, you're so right, sir. Thank you so much for telling me. I appreciate you. Just try hard. Try hard. I'm like, you're like really weirding me out, right? And I'm like, am I cynical? Because my first thought, I'm like, oh, my God, I'm L. A. Like, it's changed me. Like, Manny. I'm like, I think this is weird.
B
You know, I'm like, this. I smell like this is wrong with him.
C
I'm like, this.
B
Without a thought in my mind, I'm like, what the is that?
C
And so. So he. He leaves, puts it back down all the way again. And I'm like, I don't even give a. At this point. Whatever. He falls asleep. We're on the flight. The guy's like, we're about to land. So he like pushes his forward. His seat up, right? He pushes him forward.
B
He won't wake up.
C
He won't wake up. So then the guy, the flight attendant.
B
Presses his button, gently whips the seat.
C
He gets up and he's like, what? The screams as loud as. He's like, fuck.
B
That's what he says to the flight attendant. And this is a grown man, the flight attendant. So the flight attendant turned around so slow and looked at this man like.
C
He was a problem.
B
Oh. Yep.
C
And he's right. I'm like this because I'm like, so cringed out. Obviously, he's only freaking out.
B
The fly tail is about to drop.
C
And he's like. And he's like, no, sir, of course not. What are you talking about? Like, he literally almost had like a blackout. It was so manic. And then. So that's. So that's that.
B
Yeah.
C
What about the. The two year old behind us? Oh, that's screaming.
A
Yeah. Always feels murder bad for the parents.
C
I do too. Trust.
A
I do so Bad.
B
So the parents, they were. They didn't care. The flight attendant had to get involved.
A
Yeah. Oh, God.
B
It got. It got nasty on the plane.
A
It got. It was okay.
C
We were like. Because the thing is, it was.
B
I was.
C
It would be different, I think that if it was like, let's say like a really, like a newborn that was crying. And I'm like, girl, that's out of your control. It is what it is. And you guys, if it's a toddler, I'm getting.
A
You're going to.
B
You need to book a private jet.
C
You sitting behind Tyler and he was kicking it. Seat going bloody murder.
B
Like going crazy.
C
And I'm not kidding. I would say for the first whole 45 minutes was yelling as if he was getting like his ass beat. I'm not kidding.
B
Yes. But nothing was happening. It was insane.
C
And we literally like, everyone was like, they didn't even know what to do.
A
Because apparently from hell they're there.
B
Yes.
C
I'm like, what are you guys doing? Can you guys please, like, figure it the out?
A
Yeah.
B
So I've never seen a tantrum like this in my whole entire life. Like, it was beyond what a tantrum is.
A
That's the thing is like, I always. That's my first reaction. Like, I will literally stand up. I've held babies while moms go to the bathroom before. I feel so bad for the parents when their kids are acting up because, like, their ears are popping. They're in pain. Like, the parents are stressed too. But when you see a parent not trying to even help their child eat their child, it's just very like, the.
B
Crazy thing is it went on for like the first hour of the flight.
A
Oh, yeah.
C
No, that's the first hour.
B
So the flight attendant had to get involved because the flight attendant was like, we can't even get up right now because we're still taking off, but we have to do something here.
C
And I was like, it was getting fierce.
B
I heard myself.
C
So imagine. I've never. I've never even experienced like that on a flight ever, by the way.
B
Ever.
C
So that. So then he like kind of calmed down, like for the next hour. And then the last hour, he activated all over again.
B
Yep. It's the same for the last hour.
C
The last hour.
A
And I was like, I'm sorry, you guys. And it's a five hour flight.
B
Listen, I have my noise canceling on. I was across.
C
I was also noise canceling. I was act. I did the whole thing.
B
I was like, I'm so sorry.
C
I was still like, yeah, you still hear it?
B
It was horrible.
A
So that's your shared.
C
That was our shared pit. Cuz it was deadly.
B
And we shall start the game.
C
Okay, you guys, we're gonna start now, right? Game. And we're gonna just do again, like we said. We're doing a little beauty guru kit quiz. Who knows if Chat's even right about some of these things, to be quite honest, because there's sometimes where I was literally like, that didn't happen.
B
Okay. Yeah, because one time they said I came out with a hairbrush. Yeah, that was a controversial hairbrush.
C
No, you know what? You know what they said? I saw one. I didn't even screenshot it because I was like, this is crazy. They're like, what did Manny mua call his audience? Like, as if it was like a nickname. Mooners.
B
Oh, but that's actually.
C
It's hilarious, but it's not true. Hey, Mooners. Welcome back to a channel that never happened. I did not call anyone Mooners. Okay? So I was like, oh, so you're lying.
A
I love that.
C
So you're lying. Great.
A
That's so cute.
C
So I'll go and start off with this first one. First. Okay. Who stunned fans by bravely coming out as transgender in 2020.
A
Wait, how are we playing this game?
C
We're literally just asking you to see if you have the knowledge for it. And we're gonna. And we're gonna discuss.
A
Okay. Nikki.
B
Tutorials.
C
Okay. Literally, I was about to do abc, but you knew it. It was too easy. But thing is, like, there was. They gave, like, Nikita's on the list, Bretman's on the list. Like, it gave, like, good, like, options. Yeah. Nikki. You guys, let me just say this because I do want to talk about the questions when we answer them. When Nikki came out as trans, I was blown away.
A
I was.
C
The earthquake stood still.
A
There was a crack in the earth. I remember exactly where I was. I remember that moment like it was last week. I was like, wait, what?
C
I was shocked.
B
So Manny called me and said, nikki, tutorials just came out. Transge. And I said, oh, my God. Nikki tutorials? I thought it was her transitioning to be a man is what I thought.
A
You guys ever met her at that point? Yes, multiple times. I had her at my house for, like 12 hours. We filmed together and spent the entire evening together. And, like, nothing was ever brought up. And then when that whole thing happened too, it was, like, really fucked up, right?
B
It was.
A
She was like, blackmailing someone, threatened to out her, right?
B
Yes. Insane.
C
They didn't pay her out. They're like, if you don't pay us, we're gonna out the fact that you were, you know, born male. So she's like, I'm gonna take control of the narrative and I'm gonna say it myself and I'm not gonna be blackmailed.
B
I'm so happy for her that she did that and didn't let them have power. But it sucks that it had to happen that week.
A
Yeah.
C
Because it's like, wow, you really just almost. Your hand is forced. It's a cruel.
B
That's a really.
C
Especially in that. And the thing is, like, she. Honestly, if that happened, she probably would have never even said anything because it's her story and she doesn't have to.
B
That's what's so sad.
A
She was so much love by the Internet.
C
She was, yeah, she so glad to see the Internet really, like, rally behind her at this time. And they really were. They just felt for her.
A
I know.
C
I just. I was very proud of her.
A
That was a wild time, you guys.
C
It was insane.
B
Jacqueline, in the video addressing James, what phrase did Tati famously describe James's behavior? Well, that's not true. What did she title the video?
A
Bye Sisters.
B
Yes. Yep.
A
Bye sisters. That was. Was amongst us, our Super Bowl, Another.
B
Day the earth stood still.
C
That was what, 20, 19, 2016.
A
I remember exactly where I was when that thing happened. Oh, my God. I was driving back home from my lab in Palm Beach, Florida.
B
Right.
A
Is that where it is? Yeah, right next to Miami. Driving home, pulled the car over. No. Cuz I got so many tests.
C
Watch it.
A
Pulled the car over, had my assistant drive. I crawled into the back seat with my headphones and said, you take the wheel. And I. I just. In the back seat of my car, I couldn't even be in the passenger seat. I had to sit in the back. Cuz I was like, I got to focus on that. That was crazy.
C
Crazy was like one of the crazy things I've ever seen.
A
I think that was.
B
It was right after our drama. And I remember I had just so much anxiety because the year before I'm like, jacqueline, your clock was ticking.
A
That's the tea is. I was driving home from my lipstick lab.
C
Oh, no.
A
Literally, I was driving home from my lipstick lab.
C
Yeah.
A
In Palm Beach.
B
Insane. And I just had so much anxiety. I remember I couldn't watch the video because I was like, somehow they're gonna try to throw me a mannion because they always throw us in every day.
A
Thing about, like, once you get in this industry and like, you're never, ever, ever happy to see anybody go through a cancellation. It does not matter how awful someone is or what they did is or how evil somebody is. Like, I wouldn't wish that sort of thing up on the worst person ever, because you just know what it does to your mental health. It's so. There's. It's horrible.
B
Yep, it's horrible. It's indescribable.
C
There's no words for it.
A
There's nothing in this whole world that I've been through that's similar that I could like, describe it to.
B
Same.
C
And it's probably the worst thing that's ever happened to me in, like, my working life.
B
In my working life. By far worst thing that's ever happened to me.
C
Almost maybe in my life, but like, one of the worst things in my life.
A
I would say so much in my life. I've been through a lot.
B
I would say it's top three still.
A
One of the worst things.
B
It's in the top three of the worst things that's ever happened in my life.
A
I think people dig into your life and your family's life and just say the nastiest things. And the worst part is having people say things about you that you know are true.
B
Yes.
A
Like the things that you don't like about yourself. Them bringing that to light.
C
Girl.
B
But also they spin a narrative about you that's also not true. But because you're being canceled and it gets so big and broadcasted out there, you know, it's almost impossible to rewind that narrative they put out there about you.
A
Yeah. You know, it's awful.
C
The thing is, also, once the bandwagon kind of starts, like, everything anyone says, even if it's false, is true. Correct about you because you're the one that's in that turmoil. I had so many things that were lied about me during the thing that I was like, girl, this is not.
A
Even real, you guys. If I talking about I saw a video pop up about me. Oh, here I go. Here she goes. I saw a video pop up about me like a year ago and it had almost a million views and it was like a full blown documentary on YouTube.
B
I. I didn't watch it, of course, but I saw.
C
I know, the thumbnail I saw as well.
A
It had like 800,000 views, I think.
B
Am I good for you? Am I lowkey good for you? Jac, that's.
C
Yeah. You did get that.
A
This is the way you to rewire your brain.
C
Yeah. Because you're.
A
You have to catch yourself you have so much trauma. Oh, thank God. I'm so relevant.
C
Exactly.
B
You're killing it, babe.
C
We're like this. I'm so fucking proud of you, baby.
B
800,000. Holy baby, you got it.
C
Wait, that's so real. We all actually all do that. It's so real.
A
I'm like, I hate video. Oh, at least it has 100,000.
C
It has so many likes.
B
I was like, who cares what they're saying? It's all bullshit. But Jacqueline. 800.
C
It's rationalizing.
A
I started this video because I was just like, I got it. Like, what's going on? I started this video. I watched maybe five minutes. No, Jaclyn Jordan is over my shoulder. Why are you watching this? Why are you watching this? Why are you watching this? And I turn that off so fast. I'm like, oh, my God. If I was not me, I would hate me. These videos are so. These very convincing. I'm like, oh, my God. And like, it just. It messes with your brain, and you're like, I'm a terrible person. No, my family. Terrible people. It's just. It's awful. I would just not wish it upon any.
B
Anyone, because you know what it feels like.
A
My sisters was iconic.
B
A Super Bowl.
C
It was a Super Bowl. It was very triggering, by the way. It was very triggering.
B
I will say mine. And many drama up to that point was the biggest beauty guru drama that had ever happened. And then. Bye, sisters just completely wiped out. Honey, we saw baby, and I think it's. Oh, yeah, I think. I think it never passed scene.
C
I think.
B
Don't you feel like by scissors was like the biggest of all time for beauty and beauty.
A
Don't you think that I feel like my lipsticks could have been bigger.
C
I think it's like. Or definitely, like, in that level trajectory because the biceps thing involved so many people.
A
I know.
C
That was just so many moving parts to it.
A
No, I think it's by sisters. I think it was bigger than.
C
And then, remember the video? She came back. She came back and she addressed it again. And then Shane Dawson was like, what the. During his life. She's lying. Went crazy. So that, like, it actually was the thing that kept kind of going, which is what made it so big.
A
That's right.
B
And then James did the sad apology, but then he came back and did the logical one. So it was like, oh, my God.
C
Moving parts to it. It just got, like, to such a huge point that I really think that bicep might be. It really was like, mind you remember Tati's Video. Video got like 50 million YouTube. That's like getting 200 million on, like, that's. It's like.
A
No, literally, it's something genuinely breaking the Internet.
C
It broke the Internet, broke the world. It was written about in every single article. It was insane.
A
Yeah, I know. That was definitely. That was the biggest thing out there for sure.
B
Isn't that nuts?
C
Do you want to know something funny with one of the questions? Now we're speaking about this. Which Guru's 2019 lipstick launch was dragged for having bumps and hairs?
B
Bumps?
C
No, buffs.
A
She was like, bu.
B
Bu.
A
The story continues to snowball. There's bugs now. That is hilarious.
C
That's literally one of the things. And it lists, like, Laura Lee, Nikita, Dr.
B
Wait, wait, I got in the running for that one.
A
Ask the specific question again. It says 2019.
C
Which gurus. So, Jacqueline, which Guru's 2019 lipstick launch was dragged for having lumps, bumps, and hair hairs?
A
You guys, that's crazy. That's.
B
Wait, who's sick? Who's. All names?
C
Jaclyn Hill. Laura Lee, Nikita Dragon, Nikki. Tutorials.
A
Okay, well, it was obviously Nikita Ab.
B
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
C
Girl Nikita.
A
What would you do?
C
That's a clip.
B
Crazy.
A
Can I. I'm going to say something that we might want to, like, revisit and edit later.
B
Okay?
A
Okay, okay.
C
We won't.
A
But I'm still going to.
B
I have this note.
A
You're like, this is not.
B
It is. It is.
A
No, what I was gonna say is that I get this comment all the time how if those lipsticks were to launch now, 2025, the difference of how that would go down versus what happened in 2019.
B
Well, there's living proof, because it literally happened to Hailey Bieber. It literally happened.
C
And they said, oh, they had peptides.
B
Yeah. When they had the grainy thing. Because it didn't melt down the formula correctly. So there were lumps and bumps in the peptides.
A
So I gifted Tay Lautner a bunch of makeup. Makeup for. It was her birthday, right? And when I was just up at their summer home, she comes out and goes, have you seen this? And showed me one of her blush sticks. And it's covered in little bumps.
C
It looks.
A
It looks just like my lipstick.
B
So the formula wasn't melted.
A
It looks just like my lipsticks did. And she's like, I think of you every single time I use it. And I'm like, we. Like, she rolled it up, and the whole size of it looked just like my lipsticks. And I was like, oh, my God. And this is A. I love it.
C
Because she's saying that in the most endearing way, but she's like, I think.
A
Of you every time maybe.
C
And you're like.
A
Yeah, it would just be. It would just be handled so different. I also just think that, like, at that time, people weren't launching makeup. I know it was only six years ago, but people weren't launching makeup the way they are now.
B
No.
A
Oh, and we're just used to it now. It's like, it is.
C
And also, I think that, like, because of your situation, I think that people now are kind of like, oh, they probably. The formula was melted down. Like, it almost, like, needs to happen. Like, needed to happen. Where people have become slightly more logical in those kinds of things. Because even during the road peptide thing, yeah. People were annoyed by it, but they were like, oh, it's because it's not like. Like they were actually having explanations.
A
I also think that the way I handled it was just so terrible, and I think that that ruffled so many feathers. Like, still to this day, people are like, it's not even about the lipsticks. It's about the way you handled it.
C
Right.
A
And I hate to be this person, but, like, I was not trained to handle something like that. I was also.
C
What do you.
A
You guys. I still.
C
Oh, my God. Laura's like, I, like, really?
B
Also, like, also, when your body's lit on fire, it's really hard to logically be like, oh, okay, I see why this is upsetting. Let me handle this with grace.
A
You know, it's hard. You really, really look at our lives like, I'm not trying to say that I'm like, some uneducated bum, but also, like, I don't have a college degree. I barely have a high school degree. I got a GED when I was. I think I graduated when I was 15 or 16 years old. I got my GED.
B
Okay.
A
I was a baby. Went to one semester of college, broke a shit on food stamps, moving from state to state, living on couch to couch with my husband at the time, start recording videos, and. And poof. All of a sudden, millions of dollars are coming in, millions of subscribers are coming in, and I'm putting out launches where hundreds of thousands and millions of units are being sold. And it's like, you're not handling this the right way.
C
And I'm like, of course not. I don't know what the to do.
A
Like, that's not even me playing victim. It's just like, I wasn't set up for success in that way. I. I Wasn't friend. I didn't.
C
A lot of us older ones, like, like, in our. From our era were not, like, we did not do.
B
Also, we were all very young. We were not 45 year olds that had a ton of life experience. We're also young people in the perspective of life.
C
Yes.
B
We were young and we were handling things that were way bigger than us.
A
And the only person that I had in my life to truly give me guidance because of what they had been through was Linda, who's the founder of Morphe. And I just didn't listen to her, period.
C
Right.
A
She's like, refund everybody now and just apologize and that's it. And I tried to do that, but then I shut down all my social media accounts for 30 days. I did not behave the way a CEO and a founder should behave.
C
Yeah.
B
Period. Yeah, period.
A
I did not. I ran away. And like, that's the truth and that's where I take fault. But as far as my actual lipsticks, the quality of it, I'm like, that would not be handled now the way it was.
C
No. And I actually don't think that the industry would handle it the way it was.
A
Well, nowadays we want a refund.
B
We. Yeah, yeah.
A
Nowadays we would be like, listen, like, on the back end, we can see that it's 2% that are defective. And, like, that's industry standard. So.
B
Right.
A
If you want to refund, email us and we'll refund you. Yeah, we have refund.
C
Yeah.
B
The main problem was your relevancy. Because if this happened to a smaller creator that came out with the exact same problem, it wouldn't have blown up the way it did. It was your relevancy.
A
That's why I told you. I told you guys this a couple months ago. I'm obsessed with where I am right now.
B
Yo, girl, you're still very relevant. Careful.
C
Not too much. Not too much. But it's true. It's true.
A
But we're in such good places.
C
We are.
B
We're in the golden years.
A
There's not as many eyes. It's not as much relevance. See? But, like, it's still just golden years. Yeah. Yeah. It's a good place to be.
B
Is it my turn?
C
That was mine.
B
Okay, my turn.
A
You're asking me again, right?
B
Yes, we're. It's all you, boo.
C
Only because you know the answers already.
B
I'm gonna read off the list because this one can be a little tricky. Which beauty guru is famous for her makeup tutorials for beginners and her calm, relatable Persona And Michelle. Yes.
C
Oh, my God.
B
Because I'm an OG Beauty, so good job.
C
That was so. You have to even read the options.
B
I was like, I have to. Had to.
C
I would. I would have been like, she knew.
A
Because she's the calmest human being the planet.
B
She is. And that's kind of like what her shtick, you know, was like. Her Essence online was like this, dude.
A
I remember watching her film a do a video of how to do your eyes shadow with a Q tip, like, for beginners.
C
And she's just so calm. What is every one of us? Our first Michelle Fun experience. Like, what is your first thing that you're like? That's how I got introduced to M Fun.
A
I think I have been the Q tip.
C
The Q tip blending.
A
Her doing Q tip blending on her eyes. I was like, whoa.
B
Never saw any of her videos ever. It was Candy Johnson for me. Michelle. It was Candy Johnson.
A
That was like a God back then.
B
Yes. A God. Sweetest human being. It was always and love, Michelle Fawn. I like, met her through an IPSY event or something like that, but I had never seen her on YouTube before. I was like, oh, cool. Who are you?
C
Yeah.
B
She's like, I'm the owner of Michelle.
C
Who the are you?
B
I was like, oh.
C
Mine was her Lady Gaga music video, like, when she was recreating Lady Garg's makeup. That is the most, like, for me was the most, like, iconic I forgot I'd ever seen because she AI'd her eyes at the end and they were humongous. And I was like, that's so. I was obsessed with that video. I watched it. I'm not kidding you. Maybe 100 times.
B
Wow.
C
One of my first, like, activations of, like, my me and the beauty world kind of like, really, like, oh, that was like, you know, I've never met her. Kind of crazy.
A
Never met.
C
No. Really?
A
Never.
C
Okay, ready for this one?
A
Yes.
C
I love that Chat threw this one out there. Which duo collaborated constantly bringing chaos and laughs to the beauty space.
A
Manny and Laura, these two fools right here.
B
How crazy is in the chat? GPT said that.
A
So cute.
C
Look at the. Look at the options.
B
Okay, great.
A
We're not going to read off the options.
C
The fact that Chat chose us.
A
It's cute.
C
Or chaos and laughs. And I'm like, what other combo is that? Like, that is us.
A
That's cute.
B
There's some much lore.
A
There is so sweet.
B
Without our drama, we would just be the last. And that's anyone and everyone.
C
There's actually not everyone, actually. That's not everyone. A lot people are not funny. Actually.
B
You know what? No one's funny. No one's funny, actually.
C
No shade. A lot of people, you know what? They're actually.
B
No one's funny.
C
Especially in our industry. I'm like, you're actually really boring.
A
Leave that in there.
C
No shade. All shade.
B
No shade.
C
All tea.
B
All tea.
C
No shade, all tea.
B
Laura, honey, that part, part.
A
Oh, yeah, I know that part.
C
Some people think they're really funny when they're actually not.
A
I'm gonna keep my mouth shut, so I'm gonna get myself canceled again.
B
I'm like, it's us three in the thumbnail again. Three brain cells. Which of these James Charles projects was a YouTube series that he invited other influencers and celebrities to do their makeup? While some questions. It was like his YouTube series that YouTube gave him. Was it James Charles, the Makeup Master? Class Sisters, Get Ready With Me. Beauty Battles or Instant Influencer?
A
Instant Influencer.
C
Y. I watched the whole thing.
B
When I came out, I watched the entire thing.
C
I was so impressed by him.
B
It was like his YouTube original.
C
Yes.
A
There was nobody like him.
C
No, no, no, no. Because he was like, I mean, he's obviously such a hardworking person, but at the time, because of how his age as well to do the things that he's done at the age that he's done it is just very impressive to me.
A
Like, and say that he is one of the, if not the most hard working person in this industry that I've ever met. And like, because I used to be. Not used to, because me and Linda are such good friends. When Linda was still running Morphe and he was in collab with them, he would come up with ideas and I'd be like. Like things that he would do for his palette and I'd be like, he's willing to do all of that. Like just the concepts that he would have is just so much of his work. And time.
B
Sky is truly the limit. You know, he's just one of those people who don't see a top. Like, he's like, the sky's the limit and he will go for it every single time.
A
Yeah.
C
It's always something. I actually really was like, inspired by him.
B
Yeah.
C
The fact that you can do all these and you're creatively and like, you actually, you yearn to do those things, like to film for an entire weekend, like, come out with one thing. And I'm like, I don't.
A
I know he would like one makeup video for in a week.
B
Just one.
C
And that Always gagged me. And it still got me to say, cuz even so, even with pain painted, you'll come out with these, you know, concepts and business.
A
I'm like, I know.
B
Like, it's a whole movie.
C
It's a movie. I'm like, I know you spent a coin on that bitch. Okay, this is an interesting one.
B
Okay.
C
And I didn't know this, by the way, but I'm just. Okay. Which pair of sisters became known as Pixie Woo and helped pioneer YouTube tutorials? Okay, there's names.
A
I don't know their names.
C
Okay, so we have Sam and Nick Chapman.
A
That's it.
C
Tati and Erica. So Ella, Tanya, Desi, Katie.
A
No, first one.
B
Sam.
C
Sam and Nick Chapman.
B
I remember Pixie Woo now. I watched the out there Pixie Woo.
A
Obsessed.
B
They were like teachers, Remember? They were like, yes.
C
They would actually show you what to do.
B
Were those the real techniques people?
A
No, they were one of the people.
C
No, I know exactly who you're talking about. Love them.
B
Okay. Okay. Okay.
A
Yeah, I love them. They were one of. There's like 10 people that started before me and they were one of them.
B
Wow.
C
There's like Wingo before you too.
B
W. Go. Oh, I used to binge the out of Wayne Goss. I learned everything I know from Wayne Goss.
A
I love.
C
I used to be so. I used to have.
B
Whenever he put your brow on the screen, though, the earth broke for me.
C
You're like, that's Jack's brow.
B
I was like, that is j.
A
The f. The fact that you remember.
B
Yeah. I'll never forget it.
C
You would have thought you did that photo of the I. And it's cuz it was very specific.
B
I was like, wayne, what are we doing? Wayne? Wayne, what are we doing doing that? What are we doing? First of all, that's what all of our look like, Wayne.
C
Oh, literally.
B
Your brow, dude.
A
The brows were not good.
B
No, they were fine. They were fine.
A
And I was like.
B
I was like, okay, well, that's the tutorial I've been following for five years. Thank you, Wayne. Thank you.
C
How dare you?
B
That was a personal attack.
C
I. I had the biggest crush on Wayne Goss.
B
Really?
A
I can see that.
C
I had the biggest question and I would literally DM him, trying to get him to noticed me.
B
And did he?
A
Maybe you DM'd.
C
Everybody sure did. I know. And guess what? And it worked every time.
A
It worked every time.
C
And he went. And he was so. He was such a sweet. Just nice.
A
Yeah, I know.
C
From the uk. He was just a nice guy.
A
The Nice.
C
So I was just like crushing on you, sir.
A
He's a cutie pie, though.
C
He's a cutie and he was so cute.
A
Yeah, I agree.
B
Okay, what was this one? Cracked me up. So I had a screenshot. What was the name of Laura Lee's first eyeshadow palette when she launched her collection? Oh, I don't think you were gonna know.
A
I was not, of course. Oh, God. That palette is like, still iconic.
B
It is, it is. People message me about it all the time. They're like, I'm still using cats, babe.
A
It's so. It's a good palette.
B
It's a good palette. It was hideous. Hideous. But again, I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't even have a graphic designer.
A
I think she didn't have hairs crawling out of.
C
Was cat hair.
B
It was good.
C
Cat's hair. Cat hair like that. It's one of the ingredients, guys. That's why I call it Cat.
A
It's literally in the name.
B
I'm gonna count my blessings right now.
A
You know what?
B
It was a disaster in its own way, but the color palette was correct, especially for the hair that it came out.
A
It was good.
B
Thank you.
C
The whole thing was like, really good. Quality was absolutely insane. I still have mine, so.
B
Oh, thank you.
A
See, that's a friend.
B
That is.
C
Let's see, we have what's next. Oh, you know what? This was really fascinating to me. Who made Fenty Beauty foundation reviews trend with the darkest shade test. Basically, like the first creator that was like, I'm testing the darkest shade of.
B
Oh, I don't know.
C
The options are Nikki tutorials, Patricia Bright, Jackie Aina. Nima Tang.
A
Nima Tang.
B
I would say Nima.
C
Nima. Do you guys remember? So Nima was genuinely like the first like deep skinned creator I had seen.
B
Right.
C
That was testing the darkest shade of every.
B
She, like, pioneer.
C
Now obviously you see it more and you're like seeing other creators doing it that you see other creators doing like the darker shade of. But Nima was that.
B
She's that girl.
C
She found the founding father.
A
Honestly, it's helped so many trailblazer. Those reviews help so many brands and so many brands reach out to these creators and they're like, help me literally undertone, help me with. Yeah, shade matching. Cuz it's tricky.
B
That's a good one.
C
I remember and I remember when she would like, she would like swatch something like, let's say it was like a random like shade of something, she would swatch it and it was so insanely Light on her that I always thinking, I was like, damn, this is so wild. Like, can't believe that she can't find, like, shades that are really deep. Especially because at the time, and this is like so many years ago, and I just felt like brands weren't even being shade. Yes. They weren't inclusive. So she really pioneered and she was getting so many views on these videos, and I think it really helped the industry as a whole.
A
Yeah, truly so.
C
And it's just like shout out to Nima. Because she really was a trailblazer for deeper complexion people.
A
If it wasn't for people like her, then it wouldn't probably still wouldn't have.
C
Her like Rocky, Aina, Alyssa, Ashley. Like these creators by creators early on.
B
Patricia Bright. Y.
A
That's so cool.
B
Okay, this one's interesting because of the choices. I guess this person's an influencer, but she's not technically a beauty group anyways. Which beauty group is known for popularizing baking makeup technique? Where the let the powder set. Is it Jeffree Star, Tati Westbrook, Kim Kardashian or Liz? Laura Lee.
A
It's definitely Kim Kardashian.
B
Right. But I was like, that's.
A
So she posted a picture of.
B
He's over here. Laura Lee. Without a shadow of a doubt. Larley the Banana.
A
Ben Banana by Ben. It's because Mario baked her to fill and then she posted a selfie.
B
Do you know I had yellow under eyes for like, three years because of that?
A
Yes, I do know. I love it as well. Yes. Oh, the banana powder went hard. It's so weird because now the idea of putting bright yellow, I would freak. I'm like, well, I can't leave the house.
C
No, no.
B
And actually pink corrects more.
A
Yeah, baby.
B
Pink would.
C
Because of our collection.
A
Yeah, exactly. It's our tone. And we just. It's so funny. We've, like, really lived in the era of people learning makeup, which is so.
C
Cool to me because I feel like I was also learning along the way. As I'm doing, as I'm teaching.
A
Yeah.
C
I'm learning and teaching at the same time.
A
It's so wild, which is so cool. Time to be alive and just, like, experience everyone learning makeup.
B
Yeah.
C
And you. What's fun? I feel like I've been seeing just randomly recently, people like explaining things like how. As if we used to do like, 10 years ago on Tick Tock. And I'm like, I think it's because.
A
They'Re explaining it to a new generation.
B
Yes.
C
So they're explaining it just in a Different way on a different platform. And I'm like, oh, don't people already know this? But, like, yeah, our people that grew up with us, but. But the new, different generations. I have no idea what the they're doing.
A
I know.
C
Which I think is so fascinating. So I'm like, oh, my God. It's like, almost like, resets itself.
A
I know. And I think I forget about that all the time. People will be like, I need help learning how to apply blush. And I'm like, what do you mean? Like, there's millions and millions of videos out there teaching you how to apply blush. But people want new, fresh content that was filmed this week teaching them how.
B
To do it, and that's what they're interested in.
A
And that's why this career just goes on and on and on and on.
C
There's different techniques that always happen. Things always start.
A
I'm like, you can go back and watch a video of mine. Teaches you that from six years ago. And it's like, oh, well, that doesn't apply anymore. Even though I'm doing the same.
C
Exact same. Y.
A
They want it now.
C
Same for me.
A
You can refill the same video, like, every six months.
B
Absolutely.
C
And it was.
B
And I do.
C
Which guru coined the term power of makeup?
A
Nikki.
C
I was like, do you need options or do we know?
A
And then when she did.
B
Oh, my God.
A
Iconic. I was more excited for that than I was to film with Kim myself. Also. Also, I would like to take this time.
B
Let us do.
A
Let's.
B
Let's. Let's open this, like, start this elevator.
A
Music. Quick interruption. Okay. Because my video with Kim seems to go viral, like, once every two years.
B
I told Manny. I just saw it. I was like, Manny.
C
I was like.
B
I was like, Manny. Jacqueline's.
C
Kim's videos go viral right now.
A
And I'm like, it reaches. I know. Truly. Don't even get me started. First of all. Okay, let me just say something. I don't think I've ever actually said this before. Okay. I was the first person to ever film with Kim ever. When her team reached out to me, I thought it was a sick joke. And they're like, no, we're serious. And they're like, we want you to film tomorrow. And I was like. And I happened to be in LA when I got that email, and I thought it was a joke. Literally leading up to the experience, she had her spray tanner. She sent her spray tanner to come spray me. No, I was like, wait, are you like, this is not real. This is not real. I walked in and she was just so normal. And she's just like, hey, girl. She starts taking off her makeup with a Neutrogena wipe, and we're talking about filming. I am literally, uncontrollably shaking. She's at the peak of her career. I'm at the peak. Two very different peaks. Nobody I knew had met her at this point. Right now, she's very accessible.
B
Yeah, right?
A
Like, now it's like, we've all been in the same room as her. We've all been to her events. We've all met her. We've all. Kiki'd like. She likes my pictures. We'll DM from time to time. It's like she's accessible. I sat next to her at Nobu a couple weeks ago. You know what I'm saying? It's like, she's here, she's out, she's present.
C
Yes.
A
In this era, that is not. She was like this untouchable. Untouchable. Like, it was just so crazy. And no one I knew had met her. And I am uncontrollably shaking. And she's like. Like, you're the first person I ever found on YouTube. And she tells me, Kylie. We were on vacation, and Kylie was getting ready and doing her makeup, and she was watching you on her iPad. And I was like, I'm gonna. I'm gonna pass away. And she's like. I asked her like, what are you. What are you watching? What is this? And she told me about you, and she's like. And so I started watching your videos. She's like. And then I discovered. And then she started naming a ton of people from our world.
B
Right?
A
And I was like, this is just insane. This is insane. We get on camera, I act a fucking fool. I was so nervous, you guys. I felt like I had, like, electricity in my veins. She had her entire camera crew there, and I'm just over saying her name. I'm acting shocked by things that I wouldn't be shocked by. Oh, my God. That's how you contour. Like, I was acting like an idiot in that moment, but also, I was the first person to have that moment with her.
B
Right? Right. So everybody. So you were the blueprint. So everybody else that got to do it, got to watch, and they got to correct, and they got to set themselves up for success.
A
And then Patrick did it and Desi did it, and Nikki did it, and I was. Here's the tea. I was the only one that was not given the footage to edit. They edited it for me and sent it to me. And said, here's your video. Post it tomorrow, period. I've never told anyone that. And I asked Patrick. I'm like, did you. Did they just give it to you? And he's like, no, they gave me the. The footage. I'm editing it myself. And I was like, are you kidding me? And you guys, there was so much good conversation that we had that, like, throughout the video as it went on that I was so, so upset I didn't want to post it.
B
Damn.
A
Because I'm like, there was so much good conversation that we had about makeup and about her talking about, like, how she first got involved in makeup. And she talked about a lot about the beauty industry, and none of that was in there. And I was just like, damn it. So everyone else's videos were so much better. Plus, I was like an idiot.
B
Let me know. Let me just.
A
But it goes viral now all the time because I acted so foolish.
B
The version that goes viral is edited, by the way.
C
Yeah, it's not like how it is.
B
It's not how the video was. It wasn't that bad. They cut up all the details that were just. But let me explain something to you. Whenever we started doing this podcast, we started interviewing people, and I had never done that before, so my behavior was very similar to that. And like, me and Manny, we get comments all the time calling us out. Y' all talk too much, you interrupt too much, you're too hyper. And it was. It looked very like that. And it's just something you learned to do over four years of doing a podcast. You didn't do that. Yeah. You were the person to do it.
A
Literally. I was chilling with my friend, about to catch a flight the next morning, and then 16 hours after I got an email, I was filming with Kimberly Kardashian. Like, it was just like, boom. Like, it happened so fast.
C
Like, no prep work for it.
B
Yeah.
A
Even go shopping, get a new outfit. Like, I had to wear what I had. Like, I was just like, oh, my God. It was so intimidating.
B
But if you had collab with celebrities before, it would have never came out that way. Cuz you would have learned. You like, okay, okay, this is the flow. This is the flow.
A
But I work even a collaborator.
B
Yes.
A
I lived in Florida.
B
I didn't pick with Kim Kardashian. Like, that's crazy.
C
So that's a intense guinea pig.
A
It's crazy.
C
I need, I need, I need. I need to go re watch it.
A
Honestly, the camera's overheating.
C
Oh, it's telling us.
B
It's like shut the. Which YouTuber is known for the full face of first impressions series, where she tests out a bunch of new products in one video. First of all, all of us but a Tati Westbrook.
A
Yes. Yep, Tati.
B
You got it. It's Tati.
A
She pioneered that.
B
She really did.
A
She did.
B
She really did.
A
That was her.
C
And she's also posting every single day.
B
Five days a week.
A
Talk about a hard worker. Five.
B
Oh, yeah, Yeah.
C
I would see, like, her. I'm like, YouTube inspired me.
A
No, that's crazy.
C
Like, it was in every day.
A
I can't imagine how much money she was making off adsense.
C
Oh, my God. Unbelievable.
B
Believable. Unbelievable.
A
Absolutely Kill.
C
And I thought I was going like. I was like, I'm so sickening. I was doing like three a week.
A
I was doing like one a week.
B
I did three a week.
C
I did three a week for a long time. And then I went to two and I was like.
B
I remember.
A
I remember you announcing that you were going to two.
C
Sounds like I'm doing two. You guys, I need help.
B
This is the end.
C
And then it went to one. Now I'm like, it's going to be two weeks.
B
Maybe.
A
That is hilarious. Like the. That we used to announce on Snapchat.
B
Wearing a flower crown. People out with a flower crown, literally.
C
Cussing them out with the flower crown. Literally.
A
That is hilarious.
C
You know what? This one actually, this is my last.
B
A great closing. Give it to me.
C
This is actually the. A better closing. Known for collaborations with Morphe. Which full coverage glam style creator am I talking about? Here basically is what the question ends with. We have Tati Westbrook, Carly Bible, Jeffrey, Jacqueline.
B
What a great way to get.
C
I just love that is her. Like, known for full coverage glam and collabing with Jeffrey.
A
I'm like, that's. That's nobody else but me. Full coverage and more. All I have to hear is Morphe. I'm like, me.
B
Yeah.
A
I filmed a TikTok today doing a review of Morphe's new lip, lip liners and lipsticks. And I said in it, I'm like, I'm going to be the judge. Because everyone's saying they're getting a comeback. And I'm like, I'm going to be the judge.
C
I will judge this.
A
And I was like. And also there is no. I don't know exactly how I put it, but I was like, there is going to be no better judge or no heart.
B
No.
A
No more harsh judge than me. Like, literally 100%.
C
You were like, patient zero, bitch. Let's be real.
B
You were patient zero.
C
You were Morphe's patient zero. You were the one that put Morphe on the.
B
Yes, you did.
A
I was obsessed. And you know what's so crazy to still to this day that I can't wrap my head around is the fact that they never ever paid partnership.
C
Oh, I was like, wait, what?
B
Oh, it paid you paid you paid you out.
C
That too.
B
That too.
C
That too.
B
I know. But I will. But I will.
A
Every time James is like, they owe me 2 million. I'm like.
B
I'm like, I'll do it. Never did a paid partnership, no pay, partnership affiliation only.
A
Is that crazy?
C
Actually quite insane. That's what it was.
A
What? What? What brand gets as much love and attention?
C
Well, brand. A brand that had owners that were incredible.
B
First of all, it was the owners.
A
It was the owners.
C
That's how we were able to even.
B
And Linda didn't have some fake ass relationship with us where it's like love you while selling your product. You could never talk about Morphe again and she would have loved you to death.
C
Exactly.
B
She was that you could call her for anything. That woman would have showed up.
A
Anything. Anything. It's so.
C
Made a big difference.
B
It makes a huge, big difference.
A
So true. And also just like they're also like their founding like message about the brand of just like wanting to have make it accessible for everybody no matter how much money you have in the bank. I think also is just like very inspiring.
B
Resonating with people.
C
Yes, absolutely. We all, especially because like us starting back then too, we're like. We're all just trying to like figure our shit out. Like as creators, I know we're all just. We all made it from somewhere.
A
It just kills me because now it's like the way the virality of Morphe now that brand would have to be shucking out millions of dollars to create that again. We love that brand so much. We rode so hard.
B
We did Linda and Chris though. It was Linda and Chris.
C
I know 100 and they have really good quality stuff too. Like they. For the price that it was amazing. They were for the price that they were. You really could not like.
B
Yeah.
C
Be.
A
No.
C
What? It was like you truly could not like.
A
No.
C
And you got discounts on it when you use code. So it literally was like you're saving essentially 10 off of something that's already inexpensive.
B
Yeah.
C
That was really good.
B
Yeah.
A
It was so good.
C
It was such a crazy time.
A
Such crazy times that I want to do a documentary I literally. I want to do a documentary on so much, much in this industry, but specifically the Morphe days.
C
Yeah.
A
Do a documentary on Linda and Chris.
C
About the third affiliate.
A
Like you were in the very, very beginning.
C
I was like, I think their third affiliate.
A
That was their second.
C
It was you and then neon.
A
It's. No, it's. I actually don't even remember who it was.
B
It's.
C
She was like a really beautiful Asian creator. No, wasn't that one.
A
No, it was she. She's not even a creator anymore. I don't even remember who it was, but she. Linda said that like three or four people used her code.
C
Got it.
A
It was someone locally in Burbank. It was not someone. It was not someone who was like. I was the first code for like the Internet.
C
Got it. Yeah, got it, got it, got it.
A
But it was like a non profit thing in Burbank. That was technically the first code. Yeah, but that's crazy. Crazy now.
C
And wait, how are the lippies Fire? Okay. I was like really good 10, by the way, all their new stuff is actually.
A
The rebrand needs to be studied.
C
It needs to be studied because they actually have done.
B
I know they did a rebrand.
A
A documentary.
B
Did not even know they did a rebrand.
A
We need a doc. We need a doc. We sure do.
B
Wow. Well, that is it for this episode of full coverage, guys. Jacqueline, thank you so much for coming on and letting us take over your home.

Episode: The WORST 2018 Beauty Guru Scandals ft. Jaclyn Hill
Date Recorded: September 12, 2025
Guest: Jaclyn Hill
This episode brings OG YouTubers and beauty gurus Manny MUA and Laura Lee together with Jaclyn Hill for a rollicking reunion packed with nostalgia, self-aware banter, and, as promised, “the hottest tea.” The trio deep dives into the most chaotic beauty community scandals—especially those from 2018 and 2019—reflecting on their personal experiences with internet fame, “cancellation,” and the realities of living under a digital microscope. They also play a beauty guru trivia game (with ChatGPT-generated questions), reminisce about evolving social media culture, and reveal candid lessons learned from viral controversies.
| Time | Segment | |---|---| | 00:43 | Bickering over “studio” space, intro with Jaclyn Hill | | 03:01 | Podcasting authenticity vs. YouTube/TikTok | | 06:41–09:47 | Peaks & pits – health, romance, Peloton joy | | 32:59 | Discussion of LA influencer culture, realness, and friendship | | 44:11 | NikkiTutorials reveal (“crack in the earth”) | | 45:52 | Bye Sisters/Tati Westbrook “Super Bowl” moment | | 52:21 | Jaclyn’s lipstick scandal re-examined | | 55:41 | Admitting mistakes and lack of business “training” | | 61:08 | Innovation and hard work: James Charles, Tati, and the new world of beauty content | | 76:21 | Morphe, brand partnerships, and the impact of OG collabs | | 78:00 | Reimagining the Morphe era, possibility of a documentary | | 79:09 | Wrap-up and goodbyes |
Conversational, hilarious, a little chaotic, and peppered with deeply honest, even vulnerable moments. The trio’s chemistry reflects real friendship and hard-earned wisdom—making this episode feel like both therapy and a roast with besties. For those who lived through the “beauty YouTuber drama years” or have wondered what it’s like on the inside, this is both a nostalgia trip and a candid reckoning.
