Before we had ATT Business Business Wireless coverage, our delivery GPS wasn't the most reliable. Once our driver had to do a 14 point turn to get back on route. A 14 point turn. An influencer even live streamed the whole thing. Not good for business. Now with AT and T Business Wireless, routes are updating on the fly and deliveries are on time. And the influencer did get us 53 new followers though.

We spend so much time this time of year talking about the rookies who can gain value, but we don't spend a lot of time talking about the veterans who could potentially lose everything. And next weekend we can see a lot of these veterans get displaced by incoming rookies. Today Bob Harris and I are going to talk about some of the veterans that we will be watching closest heading into to the NFL draft. And Bob, the first guy I want to talk about here, Rashi Rice. The Chiefs hold two first round picks this year. There isn't a lot of depth right now behind Rashi Rice. If the Chiefs spent one of those first round picks on a wide receiver, can we expect Rashi Rice to maybe lose his role in the offense?
Bob Harris
No, we should not expect that, but I think we should expect people to be concerned about that and we should see the price perhaps drop a little bit. When it does, I will be pursuing in the downward motion. You get that Rice Howard 28.7% target share in the games he played last year. More importantly, red zone targets were whopping what, 42, 46% 46.2%. So you know, and we'll see. I mean there this is kind of a multi level thing. We've got Patrick Mahomes issues. We no longer have Rice's off field issues. We learned early this month that he's off the hook. The NFL's good to go. I think that was a big hang up for a lot of people. Maybe people in your league don't follow along as closely and aren't aware that he's off the hook you should be leveraging that in early drafts if that's the case. But also you should be leveraging the fear. We love fear. Love fear, Dave.
Co-host/Dave
It sells. And that's what we're doing on this show today is we're leading into the fear. These guys are all losing their jobs.
Bob Harris
My cable news would like you to know that that's. That's the thing out there. But yeah, so, like, I think in Rice's case, look, they legitimately need more weapons, but they still need Rice. And you look at, you know, the way they use him, I, you know, you could find out. You could see that as with the short, you know, average depth of targets. What's he at? About five yards a pass. And it's the run after the catch. They could use some guys to go deep. I know Xavier Worthy would like to think he could do that. So far, he has not done that on a consistent basis. He's flashed at times. But, yeah, they could use some talent. I don't think any of those. Anyone they could bring in would scare me off for she Rice. The hope would be that it drives down the price and I could take advantage of it.
Co-host/Dave
Can I give you one name that would really scare me, and that's Makai Lemon. I think he's the one. Like, if they go out and they take Makai Lemon, that probably tells me how they feel about Rice. And you're right, you know, he has been cleared of his most recent wrongdoings. And I don't want to paint with too broad of a brush. People change, whatever. But there has been a pattern of off field issues. It's not just one thing with Rashi Rice. So Makai Lemon is the one that would scare me just because he has a similar skill set. Now, if they go out and they get a Jordan Tyson or a Chris Brazil or a Denzel Boston, that probably tells me that they're more interested in trying to find a better version of Xavier Worthy, a downfield threat. But I think Lemon is the one specifically that would scare me a little bit if they draft him at 9 overall.
Bob Harris
Lemon would surprise me if they drafted him there for the reason you said. I mean, he's, you know, more of a carbon copy or plays a similar role. I don't expect that. I like, I think the Chiefs have worked through this. Look, does Rasheed Rice need to make better decisions going forward? Yes. Has he hopefully learned something from his indiscretions and past mistakes or. Hope so, but there are no guarantees here. Right. And the Chiefs probably know this better than anyone. So how they handle that, that pick is probably going to be telling and say a lot about how they feel about Rasheed Rice.
Co-host/Dave
Let's also remember he's just 25. I know I could have probably used some better decision making at 25 and I'm sure you could have too, Bob. I think a lot of us probably could have made better decisions at age 25. But hey, if you're watching the show on YouTube right now, do us a favor. Give the show a thumbs up. If you are listening on Apple Podcasts, please leave us a review. We have seen a lot of new reviews coming in recently. Means the world to us, so please keep those coming in. Bob let's jump right back into some guys who could potentially be in danger of losing out on work and losing out on value in 2026. Chris Alave coming off his year as a pro, he was the wide receiver six in fantasy last year, fourth in the league among all receivers when it comes to targets. But there's been a lot of buzz that the Saints want to use this early pick on wide receiver. They've been tied to Carnell Tate, they've been tied to Jordan Tyson. How much would it concern you for Chris Olave if they do spend that early first round pick on a wide receiver?
Bob Harris
Tate would be a concern for sure. A lot of, by the way, finished with 20 or more fantasy points over the final three games. He missed the last game with Bloodcock. It's not a long term thing. We had like 36 in week 16. It was a game against the jets. So we see that super high end upside. Tyler Shock, you know, looks like he'll progress in his second year. We hope he will and maybe get some better protection. But you know, you look at the supporting cast and you know, all due respect to Devon Valley, I don't know that that's the ideal number two. So Tate would be Friday. But what if they wait a round two and they wait later and go with Chris Bell or somebody that you know? I think that would be more ideal for me. I'm kind of in on a lobby right now. Again, anyone they draft is Going to drive the price down. I don't know that it would chase me off completely, but a tape might, tape might be enough for me to go, there's other guys in this lane I would rather drive down.
Co-host/Dave
And I think that's what we're at with a lot of these guys. You know, a lot of these teams, like we talk about, the Chiefs, they need wide receiver help. The Saints, they need wide receiver help. And if they're just looking to add a day three wide receiver, okay, that's a depth piece. That probably means that they just want to lean more on the high end talent that they have. But you can't help but get nervous. I mean, I remember this talk with T. Higgins coming off of a very good rookie season and so many people said it doesn't matter who the Bengals take. Like T. Higgins is fine. He's got this bulletproof prospect. Well, he became the number two when they took Jamar Chase and Chris Alave. If they take a guy like Carnell Tate up top, could end up becoming the number two. So not something we're hoping can happen, but something that is definitely in the range of possibilities. Next Thursday, Garrett Wilson, another guy who very talented. You can't deny the talent. But Bob, we've hardly seen Wide Receiver 2 production here, right? Like all the underlying metrics in the world, the target share, the yards per route run, yeah, it's great, but it hasn't really turned into fantasy success. So having already kind of a shaky production profile, if the jets go out and they use one of their two first round picks on a wide receiver, how much does that change your outlook for Wilson this year?
Bob Harris
Not a ton. I think Wilson's very good player. Better than better than he's given credit for. The target shares have been dominant there. When he's on the field. 30 plus percent last year when he was on the field, I get it, it was a. It wasn't. There weren't a lot of guys and adding somebody is going to make a difference. I don't think adding a single player is going to make a huge difference. He's got a huge new contract. They're paying him to be the top receiver on the team. I think Adonai Mitchell is promising, as he was in brief moments last year, is not probably the guy that they need to lean into. They've upgraded a quarterback. Whatever you think of Dino Smith and I don't think highly of him, he's better than what they had, at least to getting the ball down the field. I think that's Good news for Garrett Wilson investors and I think, you know, you're looking at him at what is a round wide receiver, 15 now in early best balls. I think that's a great price. There's a ton of upside there. And even if they draft somebody, my hope would be somebody gets drafted that it's a bigger name and drives the value down a little bit. And I get an even better deal on Garrett Wilson.
Co-host/Dave
You know, Geno Smith, not the best quarterback. I don't think any of us are going to be like pounding the table that like they got their long term guy. We have seen his ability to support multiple fantasy weapons like we saw it when he was in Seattle. DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, they were both guys we could rely on in fantasy. Last year there wasn't really a secondary piece in Las Vegas, but when he was on the field he was able to get elite production from Brock Bauer. So it might not be the best winning football overall, but from fantasy perspective, like we can expect that Chris Alava or that, that Garrett Wilson's going to get his. And even if there is another wide receiver there, Geno Smith can support multiple guys, especially with a not great defense that should have the jets playing in a lot of, a lot of game scripts that would benefit the offense that as well.
Bob Harris
But I just, you know, I think we should, it's easy because we haven't seen enough of them, right. We, we don't have that full picture or a strong memory from last year. And I don't know that we would have either, you know, even with the quarterback situation. But man, he has been so rock solid when he's been on the field, even playing with Devonte Adams, you know, he was still putting up fantastic numbers two years ago. So I'm not too worried about this. I'm hoping other people are.
Co-host/Dave
Let's talk about A.J. brown. I think we're kind of at the point now where we're operating under the assumption that A.J. brown has been traded. Right Bob? So does anything like are we going to be reading into what happens on draft night? Like are you waiting to see them take a first round receiver to say like, oh, it's happening or. Or do you think it's already kind of a done deal?
Bob Harris
I think it's already kind of a done deal and I think we'll see what Howie Roseman does at 23, if you know. A lot of chatter in our online chat at football guys about the possibilities there. But, but I do think Howie Roseman has a plan and he'll stick to it. If there's a receiver there that's great value. He would probably take them, take that player no matter what. If he starts trading up at 23 to jump a couple spots to take someone, maybe that further seals the deal. But just the chatter out there, there's just too much noise for this, not too much smoke for this not to be some fire. And I think that's good news right now if you're out there, you know, and I, I do think it'll be the Patriots, but who knows? There are other teams that have needs as well. But Devonte Smith, you know, look currently, you know, like wide receiver 21 suddenly moves into a guy who could be a top 10, top 12, certainly prospect at the position and we'll see the pieces they add along with Hollywood Brown, Octavian Wicks, they might even add a tight end and get the long term replacement for Dallas Goddard. So there's going to be a lot of change there. I think devonte Smith is the piece I'll be focused on right if Brown does go. But I'm eager to see like if they land somebody, I'm eager to see there's still a lot of moving pieces with this offense. Sean Manion, we'll see what he you know, the every other year thing has been pretty consistent and this would be the good year if it comes in with the offensive coordinator so. Or at least a better year than it was under Kevin Petullo. But you know, I mean I always like I'm worried about this offense just because I'm not confident in the passing volume. Last year I was kind of like shying away from AJ Brown at the wide receiver 1080p he ended up finishing what wide receiver 1178 he looked like
Co-host/Dave
a genius for the first three weeks when he was dealing with that quad injury.
Bob Harris
But there were also games where he disappeared, didn't catch passes in the second half so and could have got more so expecting another thing, you know, totally fair to wonder if he wouldn't fare better, maybe even be inside the top 10 in the right offense. I'm looking at you Drake May. You might be the right guy. So we'll see how that all plays out. I'm. I'm eager to see but yeah, I think we'll see what the Eagles do. I think you know, the Eagles fans would trust in Howie. I too as a fantasy investor would as well. But also I would trust in what I've seen from Devonta Smith. I think giving him a clear path to that Alpha receiving role would be great news for him and anyone who buys him early. If you're out there drafting now, grab a share just in case it's worth the contingent upside.
Co-host/Dave
Yeah, and Devonta Smith, you know, we kind of quickly forget but like this was a first round pick, this was the Heisman Trophy winner. Like he was drafted under the expectation that he would be an NFL wide receiver. One of course, playing alongside A.J. brown after that trade from Tennessee changed the calculus a little bit. But Devonta Smith has all of the makings to be an NFL wide receiver. 1 But you talk about how you're going to be watching on draft night Devonta Smith a little bit more closely because when I see Philadelphia picking at 23, I've got to assume if they've already got a deal done to move off of A.J. brown. There are some guys with similar profiles that they could take at 23, like Denzel Boston jumps out to me as a guy who can immediately step in as that big bodied X receiver and let Devonta Smith do what he has been doing. So I think that's the guy who probably has the most value to lose if that's what we're talking about on this show. Just because he can go from being the unquestioned lone guy in Philadelphia to suddenly splitting with another round one wide receiver.
Bob Harris
Let me ask you this. I wrote about it last week in the Fantasy Notebook. Go check that out on the site, people. But the concerns like we, we see the news coming out of Philadelphia about Jalen Hurts and, and obviously people are putting out the calcification of the offense and you know, messages are being sent for Jalen Hurts and the reporting from Jeff McLean from the Philadelphia Inquirer is that he's heard the message but he's, you know, pushed back and had trouble with some of the offensive coordinators. He needs someone who's maybe a little sterner guy. We'll see Manion who's, you know, what, four years removed from playing the position. A younger guy might be able to get up and, and get that out of them. But how much does that concern you? The, you know, with these pieces long term the issues around Hertz are you just like a little noise, a little bumpy road. Everything will be fine over the long term.
Co-host/Dave
You know, you threw out the trusting in Howie and there's something to be said for that. I mean like there's not a lot of reason not to trust what Howie Roseman is doing over there. I think from a fantasy perspective, I'm going to say this quietly Because I don't think moving on from Jalen Hurts would be the worst thing for the pass catchers in Philadelphia. This has been such a low volume and inefficient passing offense that maybe if you bring in a pure pocket passer, then we can see extra volume going to Devonta Smith. And suddenly those inconsistencies that we talked about with AJ Brown, if they had a quarterback who is consistently throwing the ball 35 times a game, we probably wouldn't see that week to week volatility again.
Bob Harris
The passing volume has always been my concern there. I don't know how much of that is on Jalen Hurts, but also, you know, some of it is on Jalen Hurts for not, you know, unleashing the ball or letting go or, or tucking in and running. He didn't run as much last year. I do like these, you know, moments where people, we were talking about the fear, you know, you're leveraging the concerns of Jalen Hurts and maybe that drops the value of everyone around him, including Jalen Hurts, who's probably going a little lower in early drafts than he has been in past drafts. You know, not to the point where I'm chasing it, but it to the point where I'm, oh yeah, maybe, maybe this is something. If it keeps happening or if they build on this discussion, that'll be something worth watching. But yeah, I'm not gonna put too much stock in it, but I'm gonna be mindful that some people in my league might. Yeah.
Co-host/Dave
And Right. You know, they brought in Andy Dalton, which, like, I, I don't want to see 17 games Andy Dalton, but like, I would absolutely be excited about firing Devonta Smith up in my fantasy lineup if Andy Dalton was throwing the ball to him. Because we have seen Andy Dalton do it with receiver after receiver after receiver throughout his career. But Bob, when we talked last, last time we did a show together, it was a few weeks back. It was right after free agency. You and I were both excited for Malik Willis, right. Like this is an offense where we expect him to run the ball a lot. Things have changed. Jalen Waddle is gone. They suddenly have a lot more draft picks. So when I'm looking at this situation now, I think so many people are just assuming, you know, Malik, Malik Willis in an offense throwing the ball to Jalen Waddle. It's easy to get excited about that. But now I'm looking. They've got the 11th pick, they've got the 30th pick. They've got a second round pick. They have four picks in round three as well. This is a team that's going to be drafting seven times before the end of day two. All of a sudden I'm thinking Malik Willis might have a quarterback battle that he'll have to deal with in camp.
Bob Harris
I think that's not the case. I think, you know, when you look at, at the situation, the circumstances, the, the coaching staff, Jeff Hasley and then John Eric Sullivan coming from Green Bay, I think they know what they're getting. I think they got a good deal, a better deal than I expected on Willis. And I'm hoping, I'm hoping this works out for him, but I don't think I. I think the plan right now was for him to go in as the starter. They're going to give him a couple years. If they draft somebody, maybe it's a little later. The more interesting thing will you know, who will they get to help Malik Willis? The passer who is very good as a passer. In the recent games, you know, the three games we've seen him recently completed 70 of 89 passes, 970 plus yards, six TDs and zero interceptions. I like the three starts though, in Green Bay where he rushed for nearly 760 yards a game, seven carries. I know our buddy Ian Hartett's fantasy Life noted since 2014, 31 of 34 quarterbacks who reached 100 or more rushing attempts in a single season finishes a top 12 quarterback. That's 90% of the time. So we look back to that 17 to the, to the three games, Willis would have easily exceeded 100 rushing attempts. Expecting the same thing in Miami. Like he's a guy that I'm gonna have probably as a quarterback, two or even three in a lot of best ball leagues just early on trying them out. And if they add some pieces, Makai Lemon is a piece I wouldn't mind seeing going there. That might be the ideal solution, would solve my Chris Olave concerns or whatever concerns I might have about that suggestion. So. So yeah, I like Willison awful lot. I think the, I think the new regime coming in to Miami knows what they're getting in him and that's why they got him. And they're going to get a chance. They're going to give him a chance and hope to build around him.
Co-host/Dave
I think you're probably right there that he'll get the chance to start. But I think I'd be a little bit nervous maybe, you know, with all of these picks that they have in day two. Like, I don't Think that they're going to be spending one of these first round picks on Ty Simpson, but you know, if they can bring in a Nussmeier or an aller or something like that, you know, I think Malik Willis is a good quarterback, but I do wonder if they spend up in round two around three on a quarterback if we're going to see a full 17 games from Malik Willis. You know, the, the Bluebirds get pretty loud, especially when you've got new guys out there and it's something I'll be watching.
Bob Harris
I, I'm super sure 100 depends on which Willis we see. If the guy we saw at the end of his run in Green Bay is anything remotely resembles anything, anything like that, he's going to get every opportunity. I think the, you know, that's why I've been on, you know, the Halfley Sullivan connection. They've been there, they've been around him, they're steeped in what he can do and what he's been doing. Halfley coached against him, you know, obviously, you know, in practice every day. So he has a pretty good idea. So I'm banking on that right now. But like I'm, you know, when I say banking, what am I banking? A 20 something, you know, a quarterback. 20 ADP. Sure, I'll be, I'm fine with that. And that also kind of suggest that like, yeah, they got somebody who came in and started playing really well. Matt Flynn would like you to know that having one good season in Green Bay, getting a big contract doesn't necessarily guarantee you anything.
Co-host/Dave
And he wasn't bumped out of training camp by a first round, highly drafted guy either. If you remember, he lost his job. Three pick Russell Wilson. Exactly. So crazier things have happened. Don't hear what we're not saying either. I started doing some basketball drafts this weekend. I wanted to wait until I came back from a little trip before I dip my toes in. I walked out with Malik Willis as my QB two in about one in three drafts I was doing. I mean the value is just so good. He's fallen so deep in drafts and it's kind of like Justin Fields, right? Like you don't know when he's going to be starting and you don't know if you're getting a full 17 games. But when he is starting, put him in your lineup as a starting quarterback because he's going to get a lot of fantasy points. Now another guy who was really good in fantasy last year, Jacoby Brissette, was basically a QB one all but like one week that he started last year. But the Cardinals are potentially in play for a Ty Simpson. You know, we're hearing some rumors about some other quarterbacks as well. Maybe trading up from round two into round one to get that fifth year option with a guy like Ty Simpson. How much would it worry you if the Cardinals go out and draft Ty Simpson?
Bob Harris
So I, I'm big on Brissette because Brissette is big on the guys that I'm investing in. What we're Investing in Trey McBride, obviously, 315.9 point season of like 100 points more than tight end two last year as he finishes tight end one. Overall he wasn't getting a ton more targets. It was that he was getting converting some of them into touchdowns, which he didn't do with Kyler Murray. He's going to continue to be heavily targeted. Maybe Michael Wilson had breakout. He was wide receiver 6 over the 12 games recess started. Brissette was quarterback 6 over the 12 games he started. I'll be drafting that if I think he's playing. If they draft a Ty Simpson, I'm not sure if Brissette's going to be playing. Hell, if they signed Jimmy Garofalo, I'm not sure. You know, like, there's still some pieces that could, could fall into place there. I know in the football guys draft guide, the 2026 draft guide, everyone should check that out. Average backup to Pro Bowler is the range of outcomes. I know Matt Waldman thinks similarly of him. And that's the thing with Simpson. You just don't know. I mean, he might show up and just light it up. You know, he's get the, he gets the Alabama accelerator going there and you know, people give that a little more run. So it would obviously be an opportunity. So that would be a concern for me. I don't know that, you know that it was like if they go with a rookie starter, if it was Simpson or whoever, it would certainly skew my opinion of Trey McBride's outcomes. I'd probably shave a little off the top. Although, you know, like, you know me, Dave, I'm not big on drafting historic seasons. I'm okay drafting McBride if you're getting them late in the first, early in the second. I don't see him falling the second much just yet. But that might just be the people I'm drafting with. I'm probably more interested. Just like last year, I was less interested in Brock Bowers, more interested in McBride. That'll switch around just because of the, the historic season outcome. You know, it's just hard to recreate those. They're historic for a reason, so. But having Brissette there would lend me a great deal more confidence in the possibility of McBride building on last season where, you know, he was so far ahead of the competition. He was like the poster child for value based drafting last year.
Co-host/Dave
It just, it's so hard drafting right now when you have these uncertain quarterback rooms. Like, again, I said I drafted like 10 teams over the weekend and, you know, one that I kept finding myself, like, wanting to draft. It's like Fernando Mendoza and Kirk Cousins. I know that both of these guys are going to be in good situations playing in a Clint Kubiak offense with good playmakers around them. But not knowing like that uncertainty makes it so hard to click on either.
Bob Harris
I think it makes it easy. I'm just like, I'm going in. I just go in. Like I, you know, just acknowledge and grant myself the grace of knowing what time of year it is, knowing there are going to be huge misses, that things are going to change. But also two tits, right? I might come out ahead.
Co-host/Dave
So let's talk about one more before we take a quick break here. Sam laporta. Now, Sam laporta coming off a little bit of a down year, dealing with a couple of injuries that got him off to a slow start and then ended his season early. But now we're hearing a lot of smoke about a potential trade. Now, typically I would just brush this off, but we saw this just a few years ago where they drafted T.J. hawkinson highly. They got a few good years out of him and then traded him. I'm wondering if history is going to repeat itself here. So let's just say that they draft a tight end and, you know, maybe then we start putting a little bit more credence into these trade rumors. Who are some teams that you think might be interested in trading for Sam laporta? Because we're hearing that the Lions want to trade him. What I haven't seen are any reports that this team wants Sam LaPorta.
Bob Harris
I've seen some. I've seen Ralphiano Vacciano at Fox Sports has reported that maybe Kansas City would offer the nice pick. Just a swap right there. Eric at home@NFL.com says Washington maybe is part of a package that includes the number 7 pick. So, you know, and those are both teams coming off knees. He's coming off back surgery. I don't know if that'll how that will shade, you know, the interest of people wanting to trade for him, but 40 catches on 49 targets, 489 yards and three touchdowns, down 120 targets the year before. I mean, he's been super efficient in his first couple years. I will say staying in Detroit would not be the worst thing. Drew Petzing had great success with Trey McBride, as we mentioned, so. So maybe they could replicate some of that, you know, the same physical tools and ball skills Laporta has if he's healthy. But they're gonna have to pay Jameer Gibbs at some point. At some point, you got to think about paying a guy like Laporta his position. So whether it's Denver, Philadelphia, I think the trade seems less likely there. Miami, they say they like Greg Dulcich. I think we all can agree we like Greg Dulcich, but we like Santa Porta better. The Chiefs, again, are a pretty obvious choice. So we'll see what, what, what happens there, and then we'll see, you know, like, you know, the Lions could, you know, draft an Eli Stowers or somebody like that and, you know, kind of start. Start from scratch with a similar thing. As you mentioned, they've, they've, they've made the mold. They've. They've filled it before. Yeah.
Co-host/Dave
And, and I like that both of the team, two of the teams that you talked about, I just did an article about, like, one player that I'd like to see land with every single team. You talked about Miami being in play for Laporta. I said I want Kenyon Siddiq in Miami. And then you talked about Denver being in play for Laporta. I said I want Eli Stowers in Denver. So both teams that need tight ends, but maybe rather than rolling the dice out of Rookie, they just go out for the proven commodity in Sam Laporta. So I like that quite a bit.

I'm back with Bob Harris and we are talking about players, veterans in the NFL who can lose value out of the 2026 NFL Draft. And we're going to close talking about a bunch of running backs. Bob, every single year for what feels like the last half decade we have been talking about the potential downfall of Derrick Henry and he just continues to make us look silly. But do you think this is the year now with Derek Henry going into his age 32 season that maybe they look for the heir apparent in the
Bob Harris
draft as, as an old person, I'm all about Derrick Henry. I have been the last couple of years have invested heavily. I'll continue to invest heavily this year. I think he's got another year on him. He's like he's defying the odds. We're heading into this year 32 season, finished second in the NFL and rushing yards for the fourth season in a row, 24 carries inside the five yard line, the most in the league leads in that category. I mean everything is there. I've been watching, you know on the, on the X device, his workouts. He's doing the same stuff that he's always done, insane workouts. If you haven't seen him, his Hill is most impressive. And so so so. But that doesn't mean that they don't need to start thinking about the future there. Right. They let Keaton Mitchell move on to the Chargers and so that opens a spot in the rotation for somebody got Justice Hill and Rashina Lee. They could definitely add to that mix and I think probably they will. I think it would be, you know, you know it's not going to Be a Jeremiah Love level play, right? Like if he fell to 14. Well, maybe if he fell to 14. But. But I think, you know, looking at a day three pick, maybe they could do that. Kaylon Black, Mon Claiborne, guys like that, you know, but. But I don't know, you know, like I don't know about repl. I don't know if the idea is replacing Henry at the moment, but just maybe planning for the future and I
Co-host/Dave
think also planning, you know, knock on wood. Of course. Derrick Henry has been such a healthy player throughout his career, luckily. But like if he goes down, there's no depth behind him. I think that they liked what they had in Keaton Mitchell, but with him out of the picture now, Justice Hill would be next up and Justice Hill more of a passing down specialist, probably not a guy that they want to lean on too heavily. But you talk about Derek Henry, I gotta imagine at this point now he's starting to look at that all time rushing leaderboard, which I just looked at. And Derrick Henry is currently sitting at 10th. Just a decent season, like a below average season from Derrick Henry could still push him into fifth or sixth overall on that list. So I'm sure he's watching that just like a lot of others are as well. I don't think that they're going to replace Derrick Henry, but it wouldn't surprise me. We saw him start to wear down a little bit towards the end of the season if maybe what they do is bring in a guy just to take a little bit of the workload off. But I'm with you. Derek Henry still a player that I'm more than happy to target. Fantasy drafts this year.
Bob Harris
Let's talk about carry. Yeah, 5 yards, 5.2 yards per carry last year, fifth in the NFL. I don't think that's slowing down too much.
Co-host/Dave
Exactly. And last year was like the worst case scenario too. Like the whole offense was sputtering. Lamar Jackson was hurt for a big chunk of the year and Derrick Henry still did what Derrick Henry does, second in the league in rushing yards, as you noted. I want to talk about Seattle here though, because right now I think there's a lot of excitement for either Emmanuel Wilson or George Holani. And again doing these drafts, it's tough to pass on George Holani when he's sitting there in round 20. What feels like a free, potentially half a season type of play here. But which rookie running backs could the Seattle Seahawks draft that would push those guys off of your radar because right now they do to me, kind of look like potential dead zone running backs.
Bob Harris
Yeah, I think Jadarian Price Notre Dame during My Love's Teammate has been mentioned a lot. I want to begin the official wish casting here. Now for my own part, Mike Washington Jr. Yes would be the guy that I would like to see land there. I think a lot of if we look at the combine numbers, I know our buddy Matt Waldman isn't as high on him as maybe I am or you are or the football guys draft guide is for sure. But he just looks like the kind of explosive threat that they're missing. Right. They've got some pieces there in Aulani. That's great. Emmanuel Wilson can maybe handle a game or two. We saw that last year in Green Bay and a high end game. But I just don't think they're the answer over the long term. And I think a guy like either Price or Washington, but Washington would be the the guy for me. 233 lb runs wild sub 44 speed. I like all those things. Just seems like the kind of kind of piece I know. Lance Zirline AFL.com comps him to Chris Carson, another Seattle running back. So that's a little interesting as well.
Co-host/Dave
I've also they have a type there in Seattle. John Schneider really does have a type. If you look at Christine Michael and Kenneth Walker and Chris Carson and there's another one that's on the tip. Oh Rashad Penny. Like they like these guys that have the size, speed, score and that's where Mike Washington really excels.
Bob Harris
Also have heard, you know what about a trade Breeze Hall. I've heard mentioned by some who cover the team. Would the jets want to give him up? Would the Seahawks want to pay for him? The price would be high. I doubt that the trade's going to happen. I think the draft is far more likely. And again, the wish casting has begun officially. I will say it again one more time with clarity so they can hear me all the way in Seattle. Mike Washington Jr. Would be the guy
Co-host/Dave
and I want to say Matt Waldman has very valid critiques of Mike Washington Jr. And we did a show together last week where I very rarely raise my voice. Matt and I were yelling at each other talking about Mike Washington Jr. Very much so, you know, in fun. But the critiques he has are very, very valid. But I think that a guy like Mike Washington Jr. I mean he's going to take losses because he doesn't have the best footwork. Sometimes he makes bad decisions. But he has the size and speed where he can get out wide, make one cut and take it to the house. That sounds to me a lot like the running back that they just let walk in free agency that they might want to replace.
Bob Harris
I think this is a huge opening, too, right? Like, you know, I get, you know, the positive, you know, vibes from Zach Sharpity last year. I wonder how much we would have seen of Zach Charbonnet if he had been paired with a running back not named Kenneth Walker. And Kenneth Walker had struggled to show his ability to stay on the field in training camp. We heard all last offseason. I mean, going back to February, when Clint Kubiak showed up, what did he say at his first press conference? I want the ball in Kenneth Walker's hands. They talked about it all along. Every beat writer I talked to and I talked to pretty much, I talked to a lot of them. They all said, the plan is Kenneth Walker is going to be very busy, but he's got to stay on the field. And then what did we see in training camp? He was not on the field, wasn't available, availability still the best ability. And that opened the door. And Zach Charbonnet got super fortuitous carries, too. I mean, that was part of the thing. He was getting the, you know, the good looks in the red zone. And. And so it was just a weird season to me. I think if they have the right guy, they would stick with the right guy. Somebody who's a little more. I don't know, a little more available than. Than maybe Kenneth Walker was, but has some of those same skills would be great.
Co-host/Dave
Chase Brown has looked very good since coming into the league. But if you look at this profile, an undersized Day 3 running back, the reality is that that isn't something typically that you want to bet on long term for maintaining a workload. Now, I think as it stands right now, I just talked about Chase, brought on an episode a couple of weeks ago saying that he's one of my favorite values in drafts, that if you look at the NFL as is, like, he should be a top five, top six running back. But the draft can drastically change things here. So would you be concerned if the Bengals end up drafting a running back? And does it matter who or where they draft a running back?
Bob Harris
I'm worried about Taj Brooks. What are you talking about? No, how quickly we forget.
Co-host/Dave
Right?
Bob Harris
Like, so I know my buddy Tony Pauline, you know, been out there covering drafts for a long time, has been throwing around a name, Ohio State to C.J. donaldson. I think like, a pick like that wouldn't worry me that he would have
Co-host/Dave
a super specific role, probably around six
Bob Harris
pick if they go right, that's a day three pick for sure. But, but a guy that would have a super defined role, you know, as a short yardage, you know, might catch the ball a little bit. And, and like they bid on Brown, like, I mean, I think to me Brown is the reason they felt like they were able to trade mix and they wanted to get more explosive at the time, have longer speed. Brown gives them that, he gives them something in the passing game, has enough power. I think he'd be perfectly fine. But, but, but how fine he is. They've got other needs, right? The defensive line, offensive tackle. They still need some help at wide receiver. I think some, you know, beyond the top two defense, right. I don't know what kind of priority they're going to be putting on a running back. So a day three running back might be, you know, might be what we end up with and then we'll see what happens with some of the guys that are held over. I've talked, I've heard talk of Sabaji P. Ryan maybe being available as a draft day trade, you know, for some packs later in the draft. That's entirely possible. So, you know, I think there's a lot of pieces left to fall. I don't think I would bail on, on Brown at this point.
Co-host/Dave
And, and Brown is a guy that I have been comfortably drafting and I think, you know, the, the, the two outs that I'm going to be watching, you know, if Jeremiah loves there at 10, I'm going to be sweating because that would probably make Chase Brown close to irrelevant going forward, you know, at, at best, maybe like an RB3 in fantasy. But then even when they're picking at 209, the 41st overall pick, you know, if Jadarian Price, a name that we've mentioned quite a bit on this show, if he's still on the board, that'll make me sweat a little bit. But I think if they can get past those first two picks, 10 and 41, without taking a running back from there on out, anybody else that I'd expect to get added would just be kind of a depth piece to that backfield.
Bob Harris
If Jeremiah loves there at 10, like if Jeremiah loves it anywhere after 7, I mean, you know, we're going to have some different conversations about a lot
Co-host/Dave
of teams picks, including Jeremiah Love, like why didn't he go in the top five like we thought, like why is Jeremiah Love falling down the draft board? Those will all be Neat.
Bob Harris
But yes, we'll have those conversations for sure.
Co-host/Dave
Speaking of Jeremiah Love, Tony Pollard and Tajie Spears, this would be year number three that they would be taking over the backfield in Tennessee. Bob, do you think this is a backfield duo that the Titans are comfortable with?
Bob Harris
No. Well, they say they are. They'd like me to believe they are, but I don't think they are. This is where I think Love goes. I don't know that that's, you know, you know, the, the biggest need on this team. But also, you know, you, you want to draft the best player available, and running back is kind of always a need in this league. They can move on from Pollard pretty easily, money wise, but, I mean, he just ran for a thousand yards and scored five touchdowns. It wasn't like he's the worst thing in the world if he ends up sticking around. I'm still getting some shares of him. Best ball. I. I'll quickly reverse that if what I think is going to happen in the draft happens. And I think it will be Love. But. But yeah.
Co-host/Dave
Do you find yourself, Bob, I'm just wondering when you draft a team. Like, I find myself doing this, like, I'll take Jeremiah Love early and then I just already have it in my mind that he's a Titan. So then I start targeting Cam Ward and other Titans just to like build out that stack. Even though, like just making so many assumptions in these drafts this time of year.
Bob Harris
Yeah, I think there's, you know, I think there's three teams inside that top 10 or inside the top seven that could be in play here. So I think about that with all of them and I think about all of them when we're drafting the other components on those rosters as well. But, like, crazy things happen. Ass man. We don't know where Jeremiah Love's going. We just think we know. So we'll have to let it play out. But I do think, you know, a new regime coming in, fresh start, trying to get Cam Moore, you know, maybe showing showed some flashes late last year. Right. Final four games, eight touchdowns, just one interception. They add Wandell Robinson. I think they'll add help at wide receiver in this draft as well. And maybe that's the direction they go. Or maybe they surprise us all and go wide receiver, really. And that affords somebody else, not for opportunity for Jeremiah Love. I think Jeremiah Love, though, is to me, on a tier of players where I think the first place where there might be a need, he's probably going.
Co-host/Dave
And I think that that's probably where he goes as well. And I think that if he doesn't go to Tennessee at four, I think looking at number seven, Washington makes a ton of sense for him. I mean that would just be such a fun landing spot. But let's say that Jeremiah Love doesn't make it to 7. Looking at the Washington room, as is Rashad White, Corey Crosby, Merritt, Jerome Ford, Jeremy McNichols, who's the one that you'd have the most faith in drafting this year, assuming they don't add one of these highly talented rookie running backs into the running back room.
Bob Harris
Right now I have faith in all of them. They're running back 39, Rashad White, running back 44, Jakobsky Merritt, Jerome Ford's running back 86. I mean there's a free square play. He's going outside the top outside 20 rounds. So, so yeah, they're all in the double digit rounds. Rashad White's going after the 10th round or into the 10th round, cross camera a couple rounds after that. I'll probably take chances on all of them. I will say that, you know, the Crosky merit, you know, hype that hit last year. I, Ben Standing, you know, started all that Last Man Standing, you know, podcast and sub stack and I talked to him multiple times over the course of the year going, come on, where, where is it? And you know, and I think he made a, an interesting argument. It was that, hey, they don't have all the pieces. He's a much better fit when Jane Daniels is on the field, Terry McClure is on the field, all the weapons are in place. They can do some different things that maybe you're playing to his wheelhouse. I think if they, if Jeremiah Loves falls to seven, all that conversation just went out the window. We have a true feature back. They will lean heavily on him. Rashad White would be probably the number two to me at that point. And, and, and then that's probably, you know, right now I'm drafting him in order of adp. I like a White cross demerit and sorry, Jerome Ford, I don't really like you and nobody else does either. No offense, sir.
Co-host/Dave
And just a reminder, Rashad White, Jaden Daniels, they were college teammates at New Mexico State. So if you, you buy into any of those like weird narratives from years and years ago, there is a bit of chemistry there. Bob, all the guys that we talked.
Bob Harris
Yeah, I'm old enough to remember when Rashad White was what, running back three or so. He had the second most targets in the NFL.
Co-host/Dave
You don't need to be that old to remember, Bob. There's toddlers that remember that. It just happened, correct?
Bob Harris
This is correct.
Co-host/Dave
But yes. And you know, we talked about that briefly when we talked in the post free agency show and we talked about Rashad white. He was RB3. And that year the efficiency metrics were terrible. Since then, the volume's been reeled back a little bit, but the efficiency has trended in the right direction. So it'll be interesting to see what his usage looks like this year. But definitely looks like a better running back than he did when he kind of volumed his way into that top three season. But all the guys that we talked about today, Bob, you totally just let me take the lead on this one. I sent you a list of names that I want to talk about, guys that I am nervous about that could potentially lose out on some value in the draft. But is there anybody that we didn't discuss today that you think is maybe worth mentioning?
Bob Harris
The one I would be nervous about, like legit nervous about would be if Jeremiah Love doesn't go 4 and the Giants are sitting there 5. We've heard a lot of buzz, a lot of talk over the course of the offseason. They want Kenneth Walker. They want this guy. If they landed Jeremiah Love at 5, that would like, obviously you'd be going, well, what the hell is going on Here is the Jeremiah Love, scatterboo, Tyrone Tracy Jr. And they, they kept Devin Singletary.
Co-host/Dave
I was gonna say, let's not forget they love Devin Singletary too.
Bob Harris
Like, that would be, I mean, like, you know, is that. That would not be the ideal situation for anybody. I think Scatterbo, we'll see how healthy he is. Sounds like he was. Last I heard him talk, he was at 75. I think he'll be ready for the start of the season. He was super productive. I'm, you know, I've been investing heavily just, you know, because I think I'm getting a pretty good discount. But. But you're talking about a guy that was putting up high end running back one numbers when he was on the field. Seems like he has a great relationship with one Jackson dart. I know the offense coming in. You know, we'll see what John Harbaugh does with Declan Doyle as the. The coordinator. But. Or Declan Doyle. I'm totally whipped on that team. The great Matt Nagy. My bad, you know, but we'll see what happens there. But. But that would be a concern for me if Scatterbo got loved.
Co-host/Dave
And I almost, I almost wonder if they Trade away Tyrone Tracy. If that happens.
Bob Harris
Something would happen.
Co-host/Dave
Jeremiah. It would have to, because. And that's why I didn't even want to put it on the show. Sheep up. And then you spoke it into existence anyway. I don't even want to think about a world where Jeremiah Love, Cam, Scatter, Boo and Tyrone Tracy all lose value at the same time. But these are the fears that we have, and it could absolutely happen.
Bob Harris
Well, it is based on. I mean, there was, there was a lot of discussion over the course of time. And look, we're like, here's the thing about the weeks leading up to draft. 99% of everything that's talked about cannot happen because there is only so many outcomes available. So the 10,000 things we talk about, most of them can't happen. But we're not talking about this by accident. We're talking about it because other people have been talking about it, including people who cover the Giants on a daily basis. And the talk was they've been very interested in adding at the position. So whether that's a reflection of Scatterboo or there's things we don't know about this, maybe that's possible, but either way, I don't like that outcome. We talked a little bit about the Denver Broncos, Evan Ingram. The Joker was on us and, and I guess that's, you know, we'll see what happens there. But he's a player I'm worried about
Co-host/Dave
in this craft, as you should be. And even the Joker talk last year, I, I just, Jeff Bell and I, we, we. We called BS on that quite a bit when we were talking on the Dynasty show last off season. This Joker role is supposedly this, like, you know, versatile. You do everything. You line up in the backfield, you line up out wide, you line up in the slot, deep, short, all over the field. And I'm looking at Evan Ingram, I'm like, this guy's just a slot receiver. Like, I don't know what sort of created. Like this isn't Cordero Patterson like people are hoping for then. Yeah. But I think that them being in play like we talked about, Eli Stowers, Sam Laporta, or maybe even one of these other rookies. This is a deep. We didn't talk a lot about tight ends on this show, but this is a deep tight end class with potentially like 8 week 1 starters coming out of it.
Bob Harris
Yeah, it is pretty interesting. They. There seems to, you know, there's obviously a top tier, but then after that, the group is very close together and. And you'll Hear people talked about you go, oh, wow, I didn't realize he was that good. I don't know that he's that good. It's just that they're that tightly packed and how a team sees these guys might make all the difference in the world. I think another could be like an Oscar delp.
Co-host/Dave
An Oscar delp type of player could go round three or round four and still be a week one starter on the Broncos.
Bob Harris
Right. And we can see, you know, what does Denver do? Did they do anything at wide receiver? I mean, we know what the top tier is, right? We know the top two. But after that, do we have a really good idea? They, they have not shown. They have not revealed whether they like Troy Franklin. One week it's him, one week It's Marvin Mims Jr. Another week it's Pat Bryant. Do you think they have one that they really like?
Co-host/Dave
I don't. And I think that that puts them in play. I think that's why I think they addressed that with Jalen Waddle. But now, you know, you've got Jalen Waddle and then you've got an aging Cortland Sutton and a lot of guys behind them that you don't have a lot of faith in. I could see them going to the well, but Bob, it's funny. Like, we're doing this whole show right now speculating about what could happen and what we expect to happen. If we were doing this show two years ago, is there any chance at all that we would have been saying we're nervous about Kirk Cousins and the Falcons potentially taking a quarterback 10th overall? No. And that's the thing. Like, you talk about it, like, we talk about all of these outcomes and what we think is going to happen. But every year we get so, so, so surprised by the NFL draft that I, I almost want to try to, like, think outside of the box as much as possible. And like, what's the thing that's going to happen that we never thought happening? Like Kansas City taking Jeremiah Love at 9. Maybe that's what we should be worrying about. We don't think is going to happen that actually could end up happening. Yeah.
Bob Harris
Look, every year I've been covering the draft for many, many years now. Every year, like, and we sit here and we do the wish casting every year. I can remember many specific picks. This guy's got to land there. Then he lands at the totally other place and you're going, why would that even happen? It often works out, sometimes it doesn't. But you should be prepared for that. Prepared for that. It happens every year. I want to see. Are you interested in who the, the Raiders draft that wide receiver? I mean, it's a deep enough class. Can they get somebody on day two that would interest you?
Co-host/Dave
And, and I've said this a lot. I think they were operating under the pretense that they had that 13th overall pick from Baltimore, and that's why they just said, hey, we're fine with Jalen Naylor. We'll just take whatever receiver we can at 13. And now I think that they are kind of thinking, oh, no, now Jalen Naylor is our wide receiver. 1. This isn't what we had hoped for. So I think they're almost assuredly using that early second round pick. Whether it's. Chris Brazil is the one that jumps out to me just because they like those speed guys and, you know, he'd be a good downfield complement to the underneath receivers that they have. Brazel is the one that jumps out to me. But I think that, you know, regardless, whoever the top receiver is on their board, when they're on the clock, they're, they're, they're taking that guy on day two.
Bob Harris
Yeah, now we're talking about the Raiders. It brought up here, I was like, if I was worried about anything about Henry, was it Tyler Lindemont being gone? I mean, a big anchor in that offensive line there and taking him to Las Vegas. Great news for our guy ashton.
Co-host/Dave
That's another 1 0% of people doing mock drafts had Brock Bowers going to Las Vegas the year after they took Michael Mayer. So these are the things that, like we talk about what makes sense. Like we see this is a weakness on the offense, maybe this is what they go after. But the reality is so many GMs out there are just taking best player available. So we're talking about the guys that realistically could be in danger, but the guys that are actually in danger are the guys that we aren't even talking about on this show today.
Bob Harris
Right. And every GM has different assessments to different players. I was just like, you know, we see things at the football guys. You look at the football guys draft guide, I highly recommend it. Great piece of work. Dave and Dave and Mike Kashuba and Jeff Bell did a great job putting that all together. And I had a great time getting up to speed. I do not watch a lot of college football people. I'm watching the NFL and so catching up on that, working on the draft guide earlier the year and following up on what all the write ups that these guys do it's great information and some of the players that, you know, we see the evaluations there, but we'll see Matt Waldman, our colleague in rookie scouting portfolio. He'll have different ones. We'll see Dane Brugler, we'll see all the people out there, JJ Zachary and have different values for all these players. GMC it just the same. I think back to when Detroit drafted Jameer Gibbs. How excited they were. I was just watching re watching the video of, of the moment they drafted him and they were just like losing their mind and people kind of thought at the time, wow, he's not £200. There's a problem here. Year. Well, there wasn't a problem for Detroit. They just viewed him differently and, and that's how it worked out.
Co-host/Dave
Another one that absolutely nobody had in their mock drafts was Jameer Gibbs going to Detroit that year. So really fun stuff coming up here. But hey, if you're still watching the show and you made it here to the 45 minute mark the very end of the show, Bob is going to be a regular on this show, coming through very often. So let us know what post draft topic you would like Bob and I to discuss next time he comes on within the next few weeks here. But as always, thank you for taking the time to tune in. We wouldn't be able to do this without you, the viewer taking the time to listen and hang out with us. So thank you so much for tuning in and we will see you soon.

Host: Dave Kluge
Guest: Bob Harris
Original Air Date: April 14, 2026
This episode zeros in on veteran fantasy football assets who stand to lose the most value during the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Instead of the usual rookie hype, hosts Dave Kluge and Bob Harris dissect which established players (across all positions) could see their roles diminished, be replaced outright, or lose their fantasy relevance overnight—depending on how draft weekend plays out. The conversation is fast-paced, candid, and packed with data, speculation, and actionable insight for fantasy drafters preparing to navigate post-draft chaos.
This episode is a must-listen for fantasy footballers prepping for post-draft volatility. The hosts break down not just surface-level threats, but how different types (and timing) of rookie additions could upend established fantasy assets through pure opportunity shifts, role competition, or shakier quarterback/OL situations. If you’re drafting early, or trying to arbitrage “fear” in best ball, Bob and Dave provide clear (and occasionally darkly humorous) guidance on which veterans are walking the draft-night tightrope.
