I mean, if you're a Bears fan,
Dan Bernstein
you're thinking Forward Progress.
Matt Abaticola
Come on. Forward Progress, a Chicago Bears podcast with Dan Bernstein and Matt Abaticola on 3one2Sports.
Dan Bernstein
You have earned the Forward Progress that we give you here on 312 Sports as we follow your chicag bears and the NFL. If you are looking for the latest on the Bears stadium saga, DBU is going to be your place for that. If you're hearing that, wait a second, the Bears are now doing soil testing on a new site. Yes, it's all explained on dbu. It is a corny photo op that is on a piece of land that other people own that is burdened by federal building restrictions that is way too small to support a stadium in a larger entertainment district would have to be connected with another parcel of land separated by an interstate. So go ahead, have whatever fun you want. But this was this is Somehow the Bears keep thinking that they're going to convince people they're serious by letting people know Hey, I got to go take pictures of these machine. These machines that are. There's no power to them. They're not doing anything. But go. Go take photos and tell people we're doing the testing. It's. You don't. It's all explained on dp.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. And I think once. Once the guy that's leading the current charge is no longer there, then people maybe could maybe look at the Bears at taking them seriously at things they say, because right now, they are just not a very serious organization.
Dan Bernstein
Nope.
Matt Abaticola
Albert Breer, who writes for SI.com he is a longtime NFL guy, NFL Insider. And every time I say NFL Insider now, in my brain, I'm always like, there's a. There's a different connotation, meaning for NFL Insider now. And I'm. I'm bothered that we've been impacted by that because of the Mike Vrabel, Diana Rossini story.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah, you know, I was gonna get. I don't know if you heard. There was. There's an interview as a radio interview that Adam Schefter did that's going around about the report on the A.J. brown potential trade, et cetera, and all this stuff where there are. There are some people who are taking fairly seriously what it does mean to be an insider and helping to define publicly what is okay and what's not okay when it comes to relationships and information and competition and fairness. So.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. And none of that will matter until the NFL wants to be involved.
Dan Bernstein
Exactly. Well, that's. The larger point, is that the NFL should be investigating certain things, and they're just not interested in doing that.
Matt Abaticola
And then I saw also over the weekend, too, that there was a business partnership between Robert Kraft and Adam Schefter as well. Yup. Like, come on, fellas. Like, NFL, what. What more do you need to at least look into it.
Dan Bernstein
Clean some of this stuff up.
Matt Abaticola
Something, please. Well, anyway, Albert Brear, he. He wrote a little piece about each team going into the summer period, the summer break here before training camp start. His biggest takeaways about each team. So I wanted to look at the Chicago Bears and more importantly, the NFC north to see what Brer had to say regarding the Bears. He says one of the best quotes of the spring to help frame the summer and fall came from Bears QBs coach J.T. barrett, who said that his goal this off season was to show Caleb Williams that, quote, we don't have to work as hard for our money, end quote. Last summer, Ben Johnson, Declan Doyle, and Barrett fed Williams through a fire hose, beating him down with information to build him back up this summer. Albert Beer says, I bet we'll see more of the easy money things. Barrett references to show the quarterback he doesn't need to do much of the spectacular to play winning football.
Dan Bernstein
They told him that. They said specifically do less. Do less of that. Only do that stuff when you absolutely need to to save our ass. Otherwise, just do what you. What is right in front of you.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. And I thought it was interesting that he said that. And then you bring up what they actually did say to him. Caleb Williams didn't choose to do those spectacular things because he wanted to. Caleb Williams did those spectacular things because A he could and B, because he had to.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah. I think there's a question though of how long you give the play. Like how the idea of trusting your line and how long you give it before you do that backspin and turn. I think some of it is in the in betweens. I think yes. Some of it is what. What he judges as I have to do this is he's gonna maybe learn that an extra beat, an extra second just to give himself a little bit more time for a play to develop before that. I think kind of that's what they're talking about is in the. Where. Where that secret sauce is.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. And I think we'll see that as his development continues to. To progress with, you know, with Ben Johnson. Yeah. And this offense. So regarding the Detroit Lions, he says the Lions rugged identity under Dan Campbell was forged in large part by the NFL's best offensive line. So when that group started to come apart last year, the effect was real. And the retooling process this offseason with Cade Mays now aboard to take Frank Ragnow's old spot at center, first round right tackle Blake Miller kicking Panay Sewell back to his college position on the left side is good evidence of how serious Detroit was about fixing it. So camp will be very important for that group. And well regarded line coach Hank Fraley. So I looked at The Lions in 2025, the Lions were 14th in rushing yards per game at 120.1 in 2024. So just two years ago when they. When they went to the NFC championship game. Correct. Against the.
Dan Bernstein
They lose to Chief Eagles. No. I don't know. Well retain that stuff. No.
Matt Abaticola
2024, they were sixth overall in rushing yards per game at 146.4. So a drop from 146.4 to 120 last season. So that's significant.
Dan Bernstein
That's considerable.
Matt Abaticola
Yep. Yes. Go yeah, going from, from six here, top 10 team to a 14 team. So we're in the middle of the pack. Green Bay packers, he says, I put the packers alongside the Seahawks last year as a team that could win it all if a bunch of young players elevated from good to great. He says, I feel the same way this year. It's a talented roster. So the question is whether guys such as Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, Jordan Morgan, Lucas Van Ness, Devonte, Wyatt, Edgar and Cooper can take their games to another level. And of course, how guys like Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft look coming back from knee injuries. A lot of pieces are in place to win it all.
Dan Bernstein
Okay.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. And we're still, I think, I think the latest we saw was Tucker Kraft will be ready to go for training camp, no issues, or at least the start of the season. And then Micah Parsons. We're still, I mean, I think the last I saw was five or six or even seven weeks into the season, maybe.
Dan Bernstein
And then you never know, you know, sometimes. And then you never know sometimes. Well, you don't know about anybody.
Matt Abaticola
I like, oh, sure.
Dan Bernstein
In general, I, I, you know, every once in a while it just, I, I crack up at the presumptions made about football teams. It's one thing to go through a baseball season while your pitchers are hurt. It's another thing to just know that, like, yeah, these, by the week one, there's going to be quarterbacks out. There's going to be like, everything that you can sort of recast everything every week because so many teams are going to lose critical players. And it's just the nature of football. It just takes away from this. I predict this, I predict this, should have this. You don't know who's hurt yet. Most important thing in the NFL, who's hurt. So if we already know some people are hurt, that's, those are the things that matter.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. And it's interesting, too, thinking about Micah Parsons coming back and relating that to Roma Dunze coming off his foot injury from last year. And we talked about, about this a lot during this off season, his new normal. And when we've heard, you know, Ben Johnson talk about it, and I mentioned, when I heard Jim Miller and Tom Thayer talking about it on Bears Weekly, that that's kind of like a normal process, that it's like you guys get hurt and then you recover and then you get to your new normal. Like with Micah Parsons, he's got to get back on the field. He's, he's so far away from getting back on actual playing field against competition. And then when he does, there's that ramp up and adjustment to find what his new normal is.
Dan Bernstein
And then the offensive lines can adjust accordingly. If he can say, look, I can still do this, I can still do this, I can still do this, I say, okay, but we'll take some of these things away from you. We're going to make this harder. We're going to change your angle on some of this stuff. That's sports, man. And it is. It's never starker than in this league.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. And then depending when he does actually come back and gets into it, how much time will he have? What is that ramp up period to get to it? Will there be enough game time for him to find that new normal even in this next season? Is that new normal found in the following season? So lots of questions there. But he does mention a good young roster and of course they do have Jordan Love. It was a really good young quarterback. Minnesota Vikings. He says the Vikings are the interesting spot, are in the interesting spot of having a quarterback competition with a win now roster on hand. And that means J.J. mcCarthy versus Kyler Murray is going to be very much a let the best man win derby with teams investments not being a factor. He says most assume that Murray will win the competition. If I had to bet, I'd agree. But McCarthy's got his shot now to show that with another year of experience, he's playing with greater and more calm command than he did a year ago with a talented roster around him.
Dan Bernstein
They got to figure out what they're doing there.
Matt Abaticola
They.
Dan Bernstein
They have to figure out why they brought in Kyler Murray. Did they bring him in because quarterback competitions don't work?
Matt Abaticola
No, they don't.
Dan Bernstein
Actual competitions don't work. That is a, that is a canard. Well, it will push each other and we'll steal, sharpen steel, all that stuff. No, you've got to decide who it is. Your players have to know. You can't because you're going to get factions, you're going to get talking in the weight room about, he did this and he did this. And I like working with him. I like this is I. The way this is setting up for the Vikings is not good.
Matt Abaticola
And you're also. I think the, the biggest factor for me is you're also very. You're limited. You don't have an unlimited amount of time to say, all right, let's get this guy all these reps, let's get this guy all that. You don't have all the time in the world. You're very limited in what you get to do in your practice and it's
Dan Bernstein
like that's what most of that Murray's bitching about not getting more number one reps. Apparently Murray is not happy that his, his uptake or his is assimilation into this offense has been slowed or is not advancing as quickly as some people would like. And his point is. Yeah, well, I, I, I'm not with the number ones all the time. That's just, you got to choose, find a quarterback, give that person the number one reps. All you're doing is making both guys worse instead of making both guys better. So. Or he's been promised something that he's not getting and he's, he's surprised he's not getting the ones because he signed here with a different expectation. So if you're a Bears fan, I think you should like what's developing in Minnesota right now.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah. Because it just doesn't seem like a lot of stability or healthy, a clear direction of where they're going. And I would think Kevin o' Connell at this point would say, yeah, Kyler Murray's the guy we still need to develop or we can still develop JJ McCarthy, but right now Kyler Murray is the guy. And the fact that they haven't got to that point yet and here it is, almost July is, is, it's really, it's, it's really, it's mind boggling to not, I mean, this is the quarterback guy. He's the quarterback guy. You should know. Hey, J.J. mcCarthy needs more time here. This isn't just quite ready yet. We can still work with him. Let's bring Kyler Murray in for this year. This is the Kyler Murray year. Let's see what goes from there. I don't get it.
Dan Bernstein
If you just keep all these open questions, it's not what we think, what your fans think, it's what the teammates think. What does that locker room think about what you're doing? What do they think about the process? Because they know, they know from what they see, you can't fool those guys. So if you are going to pick, just do it now and don't try to force feed it after the fact. And, and, and make yourself look at every practice and every rep through a lens of your preferred winner, which you have. And don't lie and don't say, well, I don't care. We just want the better player to win. That's not true. Everybody has, everybody's got their reputation attached to somebody or everybody has some decision. You had to make an argument for one person or the other. So you're lying if you say that's true. And you may say it, but just make make a call and then if it's wrong, you change it.
Matt Abaticola
Right. And because time's too valuable in the NFL. Yep. To go that route and to pretend like you don't have an idea of what you want to do, you should be able to do that.
Dan Bernstein

Here's a story from Buffalo. This is actually on our it's one of our planned trips for game right Buffalo. I love the the opening line of this story. O.J. simpson will not be honored among other Buffalo Bills legends at the team's new High Mark stadium.
Dan Bernstein
Good call.
Matt Abaticola
We have made an organizational decision that he is not a fit to display inside our new stadium and family circle. I'm glad that he doesn't make their fit.
Dan Bernstein
Okay so so murdering people. Okay. Allegedly.
Matt Abaticola
Allegedly that's not a good fit for the Buffalo Bills.
Dan Bernstein
Buffalo Bills, Yes.
Matt Abaticola
Here he is associated with possibly murdering people. We, we don't think that fits what our, our brand is right now.
Dan Bernstein
Okay, fair enough.
Matt Abaticola
The, the Bills will be honoring legends in the team's Family Circle area outside the new stadium, an area that will display history about the team in western New York. Others who were on the team's wall of fame will be honored in the area, with Simpson likely the only one who is not. If there's other guys that aren't current fits for their, for their brand, I wonder who those would be. It will be an area that the Bills are encouraging. Gathering year round will feature the team's three bison statues. As recently as this spring, the Bills. Now, this is where the story took a turn for me because I was disappointed. The Bills had been debating whether to include Simpson in the area, and the design team was preparing for both possibilities. Like what was up to up for debate?
Dan Bernstein
Well, you know, he was never convicted of the murders. He was only found liable for their deaths in civil court. And then, you know, he spent some time in prison for the kidnapping and the other thing and the armed robbery or whatever that was.
Matt Abaticola
So like, you know, like your design team is like, all right, hey, so this is with Simpson, without Simpson, this is what they look like. This is what we're going to do. Like, I just, I don't get the fact that there was even a debate about it. How could you can't say from your team spokesperson. And this is the president of business operations, Pete. How would you pronounce his last name? G U, E L L I Guoli Gel. Yeah, however you'd want to say it. How can you.
Dan Bernstein
Spanish. If it's Spanish, it would be, Hey,
Matt Abaticola
I hope that's not it. Welly, that's. Yeah, I don't, I don't know. But how do you say that you made an organizational decision that he's not a fit to display, but yet there was still debate. Like what, what debate? Right.
Dan Bernstein
Either he's fitter, he's done, or, you know, what if they had just said, hey, he played for us. He's one of our all time great players. We don't make judgments about what anybody does outside of what they do for the Buffalo Bills. We're putting him on there because it happened. And if you want to talk about what happened to him afterward, you can. Like there's, there is a reasonable position.
Matt Abaticola
That's fine too, actually.
Dan Bernstein
Yes. So, I mean, there is a reasonable position that could be argued where we say we don't judge anything outside of what you actually did on the field in a bill's uniform for these purposes.
Matt Abaticola
But that can't be the debate, though, when you're, when you come out and say that he's not a fit to display in our.
Dan Bernstein
Right. Exactly. That has to be decided first. If, if you had to prepare both versions and have that debate, you're doing it backward.
Matt Abaticola
Yes, you are.
Dan Bernstein
Yes.
Matt Abaticola
Either he's a fit or he's not a fit. Right.
Dan Bernstein
Either you.
Matt Abaticola
Otherwise you. You put him in and. Yeah. And your spokesperson is like, hey, you know, we're looking at the football player only.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah. We know that he was. He was evil and horrible. And however he did what. That's 2003 yards. That was the. That's in 14 games. There it is.
Matt Abaticola
And Simpson does remain in the Pro Football hall of Fame, as you mentioned there, because that's just about the football stuff. Now, Simpson died of cancer, as we know, in April 24th. He was 76 at the time of his death. And this is. See, this is where it gets interesting, too, because, like, what, what are you debating when at the time of his death, the Bills made a step toward distancing themselves by not releasing a statement or even acknowledging his passing.
Commercial Announcer
He.
Dan Bernstein
Gone.
Matt Abaticola
So you, you don't release a statement. You don't even acknowledge that he's dead, but yet you're building this new stadium with an area to honor former players, and you're debating whether or not to have men. I think you kind of decided that when you decided you weren't going to say anything about when he died.
Dan Bernstein
I don't think you're debating.
Matt Abaticola
Debate's over.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah. Phone call.
Matt Abaticola
O.J. lost that debate.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah, I think, I think, I think we know which side won right there. So this is, you know, the. We're talking about a couple of teams here, the Vikings that need to stop having a debate and make a decision, and then the Bills who say they've made a principled decision, but not quite.
Matt Abaticola
Yes.
Dan Bernstein
It's like. But it was, but it was worth. It was worth talking about.
Commercial Announcer
We.
Dan Bernstein
This is why we stand and this is who we are. But, you know, we had to.
Commercial Announcer
We got.
Dan Bernstein
In case we decided to not take a principled stand, we had to have both versions.
Matt Abaticola
Right. And then. But, I mean, go back a couple years to his death, and it was like someone calls the Buffalo Bills for comments, and they're like, hello, what happened? O.J. died. No comment. Click.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah, I never heard of the guy. Yeah, I don't know.
Matt Abaticola
No, no, we're not even gonna acknowledge that he died. One of the all time greats of our team. We won't acknowledge it, but we should consider maybe putting him in the new stadium.
Dan Bernstein
Maybe. I don't know. Is he alive?
Matt Abaticola
Is he?
Dan Bernstein
If he's alive. Oh no, he's dead. Oh yeah. Well, we didn't officially acknowledge his.
Matt Abaticola
You don't even acknowledge. Maybe they don't think he's dead.
Dan Bernstein
Right? Maybe they think he's alive.
Matt Abaticola
They're looking for him.
Dan Bernstein
Look at the real killers.
Matt Abaticola
A couple. Oh boy.

A couple follow ups on some stories we talked about last week to this one here. Another door has closed for your guy, Brendan Sorsby.
Dan Bernstein
No, I what now?
Matt Abaticola
Well this was a statement released from the CFL on Friday.
Dan Bernstein
Dan I was watching some CFL over the weekend. I I really I flipped by a little cfl. They were into it man. These broadcasters were into it.
Matt Abaticola
Well, Brendan Sorsby will not be allowed to join any team for the upcoming season at The. In the cfl. And they quote, upholding the integrity of the league and ensuring fair competition are paramount to the cfl. The allegations involving Brendan Sorsby are serious and concerning at this time. I mean, if there's any doubt about it, just listen to this statement. The CFL will not register a contract for him and no team will be permitted to add him to its negotiation list.
Dan Bernstein
There you go.
Matt Abaticola
It's very clear.
Dan Bernstein
You can't even say, like, we have his rights, that you can't talk to him because he belongs.
Matt Abaticola
Like, they can't.
Dan Bernstein
You can't even do that. Okay, that's. That's. That's right. And then I saw a question is, now that he's been banned from the pro leagues and from the ncaa, would he have eligibility as an NAIA college player? Oh, and my answer is I don't know and I kind of don't care.
Matt Abaticola
We haven't seen anything official that he couldn't go to the ufl. Correct. Even though the UFL and NFL are working somewhat together on certain things and doing.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah, I. I don't know if the UFL has said. Has said. No, that's a good question. I thought that they were bound by some of the same rules, though, as the NFL.
Matt Abaticola
And isn't there a. Isn't there a team in the UFO called the Gamblers?
Dan Bernstein
The old Houston Gamblers?
Matt Abaticola
Is that. Oh, is that. Is that not a current team?
Dan Bernstein
Did they resurrect them? I don't know. And. And other rectum. It just says here. Yeah.
Matt Abaticola
No, Dan, they have the ufo.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah. The UFL appears to keep the door open. So the NCAA said no. The NFL declined his application. The CFL said no. Thank you. Over the past week, the United Football League appears to have kept its door open to Sorsby, who admitted earlier this year to widespread gambling issues, which led to him to place thousands of bets over the past few years. UFL co owner Mike Ripole said the UFL is the league of opportunity. We created our regional player initiative to keep players closer to home, closer to their fans and on the field. Have your people call my people.
Matt Abaticola
I think this is a great opportunity for the UFL to. I mean, like, he's got to go to the Gamblers, right? He has to.
Dan Bernstein
Oh, absolutely.
Matt Abaticola
Like, there's no other team that he could play for.
Dan Bernstein
It's Texas. And if it's. If it's regional and he's. He's going from Lubbock. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Wasn't he. Wasn't that Jim Kelly in the usfl? Wasn't he Houston Gamblers was.
Matt Abaticola
Oh, I don't remember if he was.
Dan Bernstein
I think so because I, I believe that that was the start of the run and shoot offense.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah, I think, I think that's where Brendan stories we should go is the Houston Gamblers. And I think, isn't the Rock part of the, Isn't he one of the owners of the ufl, Dwayne the Rock Johnson? I think he could spin this into a good publicity move here.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah. The Houston Gamblers run and shoot advocate and chief refiner Darrell Mouse Davis was hired by Jack Pardee to install the run and shoot. And it was Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jim Kelly who snubbed the NFL's Buffalo Bills to play in the USFL. There it is. Yeah. They scored 618 points in 1984. That's a lot of points.
Matt Abaticola
A lot of points. That is.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah, that's a lot. All right.
Matt Abaticola
All right. One other follow up here. I, I don't know how much more you've looked into or read about the Terryon Arnold story with the Detroit Lions, but was going back through over the weekend. And we know that he, he turned himself in last Wednesday. And we've learned obviously that the, the incidents that have taken place that, that caused the arrest of warrants to be out there for him took place in early February.
Commercial Announcer
Okay.
Matt Abaticola
So just about a week ago, just before he turned himself in, Terry and Arnold was at OTAs with the Lions. And both Dan Campbell and defensive backs coach Deshay Townsend talked about Terry and Arnold coming back from injury and what he needs to do to get back on the field to earn a starting spot. And you could go back and you could watch the videos. Townsend's really, really short, gives a short answer, but Dan Campbell talks for a few minutes about Terry and Arnold getting back and what that, what that room looks like, the defensive back room, and what he's going to need to do to get back onto the field. And then a day or two later, he turns himself in. So here's my question for you. If this took place in early February. Yeah.
Dan Bernstein
What didn't they know and why didn't they know it?
Matt Abaticola
Or I kind of phrase it, what did they know and when did they know it?
Dan Bernstein
Yeah.
Matt Abaticola
And why were they still talking about him a week ago? Well, a day or two before he turned himself in.
Dan Bernstein
Well, let's, let's add the latest for context. Okay. Today he was bonded out for a million dollars. Okay. A Hillsborough county Judge granted him $1 million bond. He said there's probable cause for his case, but the burden is higher than the probable cause. Florida prosecutors sought Arnold to be held in detention without bond, but Cebella said the state isn't there at this point. The state requested an ankle monitor, the defense objective. The judge denied. Now, here's what's critical. The judge granted Arnold to leave his residence for work purposes, including practices and games, saying he didn't want to interfere with Arnold's ability to earn a living. He said Arnold would be subject to what he called a paparazzi monitor. If he's late for practice, ESPN will let us know. If he violates the condition of his bond, he will be found. So he's going to be playing if they want.
Matt Abaticola
But how. How could that be? How could that be possible, though?
Dan Bernstein
I don't know. He was arrested on four counts of kidnapping, four counts of assault that carry a potential life sentence.
Matt Abaticola
Like he would have to be sidelined until this is resolved?
Dan Bernstein
I would think so, but the judge is going out of his way to. To say innocent until proven guilty and is allowed to earn a living as a football player. I wouldn't have him around my team.
Matt Abaticola
I wouldn't. I wouldn't either.
Dan Bernstein
I would. But maybe he's going to get paid now. Maybe you put him on an exempt list of some kind and he still is able to get whatever checks are coming his way at the. At whatever dates he's supposed to get him.
Matt Abaticola
Because when. When this all happened in early February, it didn't take authorities very long to narrow in on Arnold as being the mastermind behind the whole scheme.
Dan Bernstein
Yeah, it was.
Matt Abaticola
They targeted. They targeted in on him pretty quickly.
Dan Bernstein
But he surrendered himself hours after the actual arrest warrant was sent out.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah, that was last week. Wednesday.
Dan Bernstein
Yes, but that's. So there wasn't. There was. He wasn't a fugitive. No, because he wasn't. There was no warrant for his arrest.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah, I think that came out last Tuesday. And then he turned himself in on Wednesday the 24th. And then Dan Campbell and Deshay Townsend talked about him getting his job back just prior to that, a day or two prior.
Dan Bernstein
I don't know. I don't know. Maybe he can be in the bill's ring of honor. It just.
Matt Abaticola
It would be hard for me to. To believe that the lines didn't know anything was happening when all this took place in February.
Dan Bernstein
They certainly would have heard them later.
Matt Abaticola
Right.
Dan Bernstein
They would have heard rumors.
Matt Abaticola
Right.
Dan Bernstein
Like if. Like if you have somebody and every team does, every team's got ins with the local law enforcement, whether it's your own security department. I know the, that the Bears have always had the, you know, the former FBI agent who does stuff for them. You got to get the real story on your guys and that way you can make informed decisions. Yeah, maybe they didn't.
Matt Abaticola
Yeah, maybe they didn't. Or I mean, they were just, they weren't really doing anything wrong by carrying on like business as usual because there was no arrest, worn out, he wasn't wanted. So why, why behave any differently?
Dan Bernstein
Yeah, you'd think they'd be a little more careful though.
Matt Abaticola
You would think. But yeah, who knows? It's the NFL.
Dan Bernstein
Well, I, I will say that the news today of maybe the Vikings having some questions about their whole handling of the quarterback situation at this point and what you mentioned about the packers not getting Micah Parsons back and not knowing what he may be when he finally does return to the field. This is, I don't know, do we count this as a good Bears day?
Matt Abaticola
I would, yes.
Dan Bernstein
Okay.
Matt Abaticola
This is a good Bears day.
Dan Bernstein
Good Bears day.
Matt Abaticola
Anything that, that dings any of the competition in the division. But it also too, in reading through things and, and going through this off season and, you know, getting ready for training camp to come up, I still feel like it's going to be a super competitive division, which I don't like.
Dan Bernstein
It always is. It's going to be. And it's the unknown unknowns that. Yeah. And people get mad at me for warning about these things. But we don't know who's hurt yet.
Matt Abaticola
Yes, that's it.
Dan Bernstein
That's it. And that is Forward Progress. A Chicago Bears and NFL podcast here on 312 Sports. Forward progress has stopped. Forward Progress.
