I mentioned the surge on Wall Street. There are some big gains for The Dow up 250 points. The NASDAQ is rising 105. The S&P 500 adding 37 points. And now more on that economic growth update and a new inflation gauge this morning.

The economy expanded at the of last year, but at a cooler pace than first reported. The gross domestic product for the fourth quarter was revised to growth of 0.7%. Inflation readings for January are mostly in line with forecasts. The PCE price index rose 0.3% as expected for the year. The PCE rose 2.8% but up 3.1% excluding food and energy. That's up slightly from 3% in December. And matching the forecast, consumer spending rose more than expected in January, up 4.10of a percent. Incomes also were up 4.10of a percent. And durable goods orders for expensive manufactured things were flat in January. Jenny Costella, FOX News.

The Treasury Secretary Scott Benson is saying this POTUS is taking decisive steps to promote stability in global markets and working to keep prices low as we address the threat and instability posed by the terrorist Iranian regime. To increase the global reach of existing supply, US treasury is providing a temporary authorization to permit countries to purchase Russian oil currently stranded at sea. There's two other levers that they are going to pull. They might waive the Jones act, which says that only U.S. flagged ships can go from U.S. port to U.S. port. And they do plan to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve at the gas pump
