A major target. I'm Paul Stevens, FOX News. President Trump saying the US Forces have destroyed military targets on Iran's Kharg island that is a key hub for the country's oil exports. The president saying the strikes obliterated military sites, but he left the island's oil facilities intact for now. The president warning they could be targeted if Iran continues to interfere with shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Meantime, 2,500 more US Marines are being sent to the area. The Pentagon is examining a tragic refueling accident in Iraq that killed six U.S. service members this week. Fox's Steve Harrigan is on the border between Iran and Armenia.
Mike DeWine (0:43)
Ohio's Governor Mike DeWine announcing that three of those six US service members killed were from the Ohio Air National Guard. Of course, that Air Force plane going down over Western Iraq, 9:00pm Baghdad time. Just after dark. It crashed in the western desert there, killing all six members on board. US Military officials have been clear that there was no enemy fire involved in this attack. No friendly fire either. Here's General Kane.
General Kane (1:09)
I ask that we remember our fallen and those participating in the recovery operations to bring home our lost KC135 crew.

A second aircraft was involved in that incident, but it was able to land safely. Right now, an investigation into the causes of the crash is underway.

Meantime, at least 13 service members have now been killed during Operation epic fury. About 140 US troops wounded, including eight listed as severely injured. Now former New York state trooper has been found guilty of manslaughter in a 2020 police chase that killed an 11 year old girl. Prosecutors say Christopher Baldner rammed an SUV twice during a high speed pursuit causing it to lose control and flip over. The victim was Monica Goods, a passenger in that vehicle.
