Biden era prosecutor with obstructing justice, concealing and stealing government records all tied to the now abandoned prosecution of President Trump by former special Counsel Jack Smith. 62 year old Carmen Mercedes Lineberger of Port St. Lucie, Florida, a former Assistant US Attorney is accused of altering file names of documents related to the special counsel's case and sending them to her own personal email accounts. Those documents had already been blocked for release by a judge.

predicting a record breaking 45 million people will be traveling at least 50 miles for the holiday between today and Monday. That's up from 44.8 million last year. Driving is the most popular way to travel this weekend, and more than 39 million people are expected to hit the roads. That's up 100,000 from last year. And this afternoon is expected to be one of the worst times to hit the road, along with Friday and Monday afternoons.

Despite reports of large layoffs by tech companies, the number of people applying for unemployment benefits for the first time remains little changed. New claims declined by 3,000 last week to 209,000. Continuing claims, those remaining on benefits rose by 6,000 to 1.78 million.
