Steve Hilton, backed by President Trump, has the most votes so far in the race for California governor. Democrat Javier Becerra, currently second. The top two face off in the November election. The same thing will happen in Los Angeles. Mayor Karen Bass finished first in that primary.

He admitted that in the 1990s he associated with the infamous blind Sheikh Omar Abdelrahman, who was convicted of terrorism and seditious conspiracy in 1996. Fox's Eric Shawn Mohammad's campaign says he did not have any meaningful relationship with Rahman and that he saw him in religious settings, that he condemns the sheikh's violent rhetoric. He is, by the way, favored to win the heavily Democratic district in November.
