It is much too early to say what the bomb damage assessment at that site, at those sites with their hardened tunnels some 600ft deep at Isfahan really were. Current and former Pentagon officials think the program was likely set back by one to two years, but no one knows where. The highly enriched uranium actually is, 900 pounds of it, enough for nine nuclear bombs. It could have been moved or could be buried. That's why you see those Israeli jets bombing the two entrances to the underground facility at Fordo today to ensure nothing goes in or out.

Now, Iran fired more missiles into Israel today and is warning of retaliation to those US Strikes. The American Embassy in Qatar has told citizens in that country to shelter in place. And the State Department has a message for even more Americans.

The Nasdaq's gaining 76, a 27 point increase for the S&P 500. No big move in the oil markets. The price for West Texas crude we track daily is actually down a D, still around 73 bucks a barrel. Gas is up a fraction, triple H national average for regulars now $3.22 a gallon. That is 8 cents more than a week ago. Prices could go higher. Iran's considering blocking the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway where a fifth of the world's oil is shipped through.

We have heard Iran threaten to disrupt the Strait of Hormuz before, but it's actually never been completely shut down, even with previous Middle east conflict. So this would be an unprecedented move if they decide to do that.

Dave Anthony opens the newscast by reporting on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. He states, "Israel keeps bombarding Iran," highlighting the severity of the situation. The focus is on the recent attacks targeting Fordo, one of the three Iranian nuclear sites previously bombed by the US over the weekend.
Caroline Levitt, White House Press Secretary, is quoted at [00:14], saying, "The country is a safer place today because of the president's bold action and he has prevented a nuclear conflict." This statement underscores the administration's stance on the military actions taken against Iran.
Despite these actions, tensions remain high as Dave Anthony notes, "Iran fired more missiles into Israel today and is warning of retaliation to those US Strikes" ([00:21]). The situation has prompted the American Embassy in Qatar to advise its citizens to shelter in place, and the State Department has issued warnings to American travelers abroad.
Jonathan Savage from The Hague provides further insights at [01:03], stating, "Exercise caution is the message to US Citizens traveling abroad." He elaborates on potential threats, mentioning, "The advisory describes how terror groups and some acting alone continue to plot possible attacks," targeting various public places like tourist attractions and transport hubs.
Reporting from the Pentagon, Jennifer Griffin conveys information from an unnamed official regarding the recent bombings at Fordo:
"It is much too early to say what the bomb damage assessment at that site, at those sites with their hardened tunnels some 600ft deep at Isfahan really were. Current and former Pentagon officials think the program was likely set back by one to two years, but no one knows where the highly enriched uranium actually is, 900 pounds of it, enough for nine nuclear bombs. It could have been moved or could be buried."
She adds, "That's why you see those Israeli jets bombing the two entrances to the underground facility at Fordo today to ensure nothing goes in or out" ([00:29]).
Looking ahead, Dave Anthony reports on President Trump's upcoming NATO summit in The Hague, where Iran's nuclear program and involvement in the Ukraine conflict will be key discussion points ([01:38]). The NATO leader has stated, "Iran's heavily involved helping Russia in the war in Ukraine. It's going to be dangerously hot."
Economically, despite the military actions, Wall Street shows resilience. Dave Anthony notes, "The Dow up 158 points. The Nasdaq's gaining 76, a 27 point increase for the S&P 500" ([02:16]). Oil prices remain relatively stable, with West Texas crude slightly down by a dollar at around $73 per barrel. However, gas prices have seen a minor uptick, now averaging $3.22 a gallon nationally, an increase attributed to Iran's considerations of blocking the Strait of Hormuz—a critical waterway for global oil shipments.
Jennifer Griffin comments on the Strait of Hormuz situation:
"We have heard Iran threaten to disrupt the Strait of Hormuz before, but it's actually never been completely shut down, even with previous Middle East conflicts. So this would be an unprecedented move if they decide to do that." ([02:49])
Jackie DeAngelis from Fox Business Network discusses the domestic implications of President Trump's policies. The President recently advocated for increased oil production, urging, "Everyone keep oil prices down. And then he's watching, adding, if they rise, it'll play right into the hands of the enemy. The president also told the Department of Energy in another post, drill, baby, drill. And I mean now" ([03:02]).
Furthermore, the administration's 50% tariffs on steel imports are impacting various industries, especially home appliances. Jackie DeAngelis highlights concerns over potential price increases in appliances like refrigerators and washers. However, companies like Whirlpool Corporation view the tariffs positively. Whirlpool's CEO, Mark Bitzer, stated:
"Tariffs... don't necessarily mean higher prices. They mean more production in the US and ultimately also a more competitive environment."
Additionally, Whirlpool is making significant investments in U.S. manufacturing, signaling a boost to domestic production ([03:40]).
Shifting to sports, Dave Anthony announces a celebratory parade in Oklahoma City following the Oklahoma City Thunder's historic victory in the NBA Finals. The Thunder secured the championship by defeating the Indiana Pacers in a thrilling Game 7, marking their first NBA title. Jackie DeAngelis adds, "The NBA champion resides at Oklahoma City" ([03:57]).
