New York is making history as a first of its kind law takes effect targeting advertisements that feature elements generated using artificial intelligence. This comes months after Governor Kathy Hochul signed a law requiring the disclosure of synthetic performers in ads, which carries a $1,000 civil fine for first time offenders. The Democratic governor telling the press that in New York we are setting the rules of the road.
