Stocks are mixed right now, half hour into the trading day. Dow up 171 points. But the Nasdaq has moved lower. It's down 7, the S&P 500, adding 11 points to yesterday's record high close. And all these gains for the Dow and the S and P come the day after new US Trade deals with Indonesia and and the Philippines, setting tariffs at 19% on imports from those countries.

Of course, he used Truth Social to confirm this new deal. Japan's going to invest, he says, at my direction, $550 billion into the U.S. which will receive 90% of the profits. The deal will create hundreds of thousands of jobs. There's never been anything like it. Perhaps most importantly, Japan will open their country to trade cars and trucks, rice and certain other agricultural products.
