Reports the top US Military commander in the Middle East, Admiral Brad Cooper, recommended stopping the bombing campaign around the Strait of Hormuz because it has reached the limit of its effectiveness. Despite the pause in military action, countries across the region do remain on high alert.

President Trump may talk about Iran and oil and gas prices when he goes to Michigan later today visiting a GM plant, campaigning for Republicans ahead of next week's primaries there. The man who attacked a pride parade over the weekend is dead, shot by police last night when after they found him during a manhunt, he came after them with a knife.

Not only is the suspect accused of driving a van into a crowd at a German pride festival, but authorities also say he had previously tried to join isis. Investigators say the attack happened on Saturday. They believe the suspect, Abdul Balat, intentionally drove a van into a crowd at the Berlin Pride festival. Police say he then got out and started stabbing others with a machete.

Back to the stock market surge to start the week. In addition to the dow going up 456 points, the NASDAQ's rising 83, the S&P 500 adding 30 points. As for oil prices just before they dropped today, analyst Trilby Lundberg warned, do

Well, that recent oil price surge back up has cost us 22 cents at the gas pump the past two weeks. AAA's national average for regular has risen back up to $4.11 per gallon. The Federal Reserve will start a two day meeting to assess the economy tomorrow with no interest rate change expected this week. And there's another big meeting on the economy.

The national association for Business Economics promises attendees at the two day Four Seasons event in Washing. They will answer critical economic questions and give insight into how statistics are collected and compiled. So maybe they'll learn why the monthly labor numbers always need a revision and sometimes a substantial one.
