The U.S. court of Appeals here in Washington delivered a blow to the president's tariff plan. President Trump responding on Truth Social quote, all tariffs are still in effect. Today. A highly partisan appeals court incorrectly said that our tariffs should be removed, but they know the United States of America will win in the end. If these tariffs ever went away, it would be a total disaster for the country. The court ruled President Trump does not have the authority to use the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers act, which does not mention tariffs. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress the power to tax and collect duties.
