They're among a few dozen people arrested so far in a federal gambling investigation. Rozier plays for the Miami Heat. He's under scrutiny over sports betting. But in the case against Billups, who was a Hall of Fame player, now coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, Fox's.

Nate Foy reports he is allegedly involved in a poker scheme with the American Italian Mafia. And then Damon Jones is a former NBA player and coach as well, arrested. And this is all related to the same investigation that ultimately landed a lifetime ban for Jontay Porter, a former player for the Toronto Raptors who admitted to altering his performance in games so that other people could make money off of prop bets.

We're awaiting a news conference any minute from FBI Director Kash Patel. On day 23 of the government shutdown. The Senate's planning a different vote amid a standoff over funding. Republican Leader John Thune tells Fox anybody.

Who is currently working and not getting paid would get paid under this proposal. The Democrats are going to try and counter it with a political gimmick which would pay federal employees once, but then continue the shutdown.

Democrats have blocked new funding that would end that shutdown, demanding health care provisions be attached to spending. The European Union has joined the US Imposing new sanctions on Russia for the war in Ukraine. President Trump putting financial penalties on Russia's two biggest oil companies after canceling his planned second summit with Russia's leader.

The president's also defending US Military strikes on boats off the South American coast suspected of illegal drug trafficking.
