He was actually hospitalized earlier this week with an unspecified illness and he never recovered for more than two decades. Busch combined his skill, swagger and gutsy driving and won a whole lot of races. In a joint statement, nascar, the Busch family and Childress Racing called Kyle a rare talent, one who comes along the once in a generation. Busch appeared to be ill just a couple of weeks ago at Watkins Glen. You may have seen this. He radioed his team during the race and asked for a doctor to meet him after the checkered flag reports suggested at the time he had a pretty substantial cough. And of course, this week he underwent treatment for what his team called a severe illness.

president knocking down reports out there that Iran's supreme leader is demanding that the enriched uranium in that country stay in that country as part of any sort of a nuclear agreement. That would have complicated these talks by a lot. It would have also ticked off Israel, which does not want to see that happen. But the president today pushing back on those reports and saying it is not true.

Republicans struggled today to find the votes to dismiss legislation that would compel President Trump to withdraw from the war with Iran, delaying planned votes on the matter into June as it became clear that Republicans would not have the numbers to defeat the bill GOP leaders could find to hold a vote on it.

Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin has released a critical study of the party's performance in the 2024 presidential election. This decision follows intense internal pressure from frustrated Democrats who had publicly demanded the release of the post election autopsy. Officials cited programs intended to secure housing for homeless people and treat children with autism that collapsed as fraudsters piled on. The woman convicted as the kingpin in the massive Feeding Our Future scandal, Amy Bach, was sentenced to 41 and a half years in prison. Bach was also ordered to pay restitution on $243 million the government says was scammed through that covet era food program. It was intended to help kids during the pandemic, but ended with taxpayers being billed for meals that did not exist. Shackled in court box sobbed and said, I understand. I failed. U.S. attorney Andrew Boutros revealing he's dropping the misdemeanor charges of impeding a federal officer against four people who were indicted after protesting outside of an ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois, last year. The case was set to go to trial next week. The decision comes after Boutros met with a federal judge over redacted grand jury transcripts revealing he was unaware until recently of alleged misconduct, including a prosecutor meeting with a grand juror outside of proceedings, calling the conduct upsetting one defense attorney saying this misguided case should have never been brought. The charges are being dismissed with prejudice, meaning they cannot be refiled. Kristin Goodwin, FOX News.
