In New York City, former City Comptroller Brad Lander, endorsed by Mayor Zoran Mamdani, has defeated incumbent Democrat Dan Goldman in the state's 10th district, which includes lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. In New York's northern suburbs, Democrat Kate Connelly has won the nomination for U.S. house. She'll face Republican Mike Lawler in November. In South Carolina, Attorney General Allen Wilson has won the runoff election to become the state's Republican nominee for governor. In Maryland, Governor Wes Moore has fended off a primary challenge and Congressman Jamie Raskin has won his primary. Maryland Democrat Adrian Boalfo has advanced to November's general election in the race to succeed his retiring former boss, Congressman Steny Hoyer. This as a federal judge throws out a Trump administration's lawsuit seeking access to Maryland voter rolls.

New charges for a pair of St. John's county inmates who wanted to break out of jail in northeast Florida.

Paired together in the same cell on Multiple felony charges. 38 year old Joseph Vizzy and 20 year old Joseph Silcott hatched a plan for a jailbreak that from the sheriff's office. They wanted to rip the toilet and sink from the wall, punch a hole through it to scramble out of their cell. Izzy snitched to staff that Silcott had a weapon and threatened him with it. Cops searched their cell, discovering the sink and toilet damage. Camera footage showed the inmates breaking the window. Both were seen in possession of weapons and escape tools on different dates and times. Cops say Izzy confessed to planning to get contraband shipped to them using a drone.
