Ukraine claimed was struck a major natural gas processing plant and two satellite communications centers. The two met ahead of the NATO summit next month. Back to back, powerful earthquakes have slammed Venezuela, collapsing buildings in the capital of Caracas. The US Geological Survey said the first earthquake had a magnitude of 7 point and its epicenter was west of the community of Moron along the country's Caribbean coast. Minutes later, the USGS reported an even larger 7.5 magnitude earthquake. Those quakes are among the strongest to strike Venezuela in more than a century. Also, a strong earthquake struck off the coast of northern Japan. America is listening to Fox News.

to former New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and several other people have been charged in a federal indictment in connection with a bribery scheme involving a city contract. Authorities say Frank Caron along with his brother Anthony, as well as a Queens hotel owner and an employee of the hotel owner were arrested this morning. The indictment says Frank Caron accepted bribes to steer a multimillion dollar city contract for sheltering migrants to the Queen's Hotel. Caron's lawyer said the indictment is weak and a sad day for the crim justice system. A COVID 19 vaccine study blocked from publication in Government Health Journal is now published somewhere else.

The study finds the most recent COVID 19 vaccines cut emergency department and urgent care visits and hospitalizations by about half compared to people who aren't vaccinated. The research is published in JAMA Network Open. It was going to be published this spring in a federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention journal. The agency's chief science officer says it was flagged, though, by acting director Jay Bhattacharya criticizing the methodology. And the authors had the option of trying to address his concerns or taking the study elsewhere, which they did.
