Sources tell Fox. Derek Anthony Colella is expected to change his not guilty plea to guilty Thursday on a federal charge of transmitting a demand for ransom with intent to abuse, threaten or harass. The 42 year old of Hawthorne, California, is accused of sending text messages and calling the family of Nancy Guthrie days after the 84 year old went missing demanding Bitcoin. Prosecutors say through the course of the investigation, they discovered he was acting as an imposter trying to take advantage of the ongoing situation.

A $1 million bond has been granted to Detroit Lions cornerback Terion Arnold after he was charged with an armed robbery and kidnapping plot. Hillsborough County Judge Christopher Cebella denying prosecutors motion for Arnold to be held without bond, but did order the 23 year old to remain at his Tennessee home except for playing, training or traveling with his team. He also ordered Arnold to not have any contact with other people tied to the case and to surrender his passport within 48 hours. Arnold is accused of orchestrating the abduction and beating of three men who prosecutors allege he wrongly suspected of stealing from him back in February. Uruguay soccer federation reportedly canceled the private charter for its World cup team and instead forced them to fly home separately on commercial flights. The team was ranked 16th in the world heading into the World cup and failed to make it past the group stage. The team drew with both Saudi Arabia, which was ranked 61st, and Cape Verde ranked 67th.
