Just because they get it through the Senate, it's not a done deal. To move it quickly, I talked to Don Bacon, the Republican representative from Nebraska today who is retiring. There's a lot of retirements here. Thom Tillis announced his retirement yesterday. Bacon formally today. Bacon says he thinks that they have cut Medicare care too deeply. He also doesn't like what they've done with some of the green energy tax credits. And so there's just not moderate Republicans in the House who have reservations about this, but conservatives. The House Freedom Caucus, they put out a statement today indicating that they did not think that there was enough deficit reduction in this bill.

Fox's Chad Perkham on Capitol Hill, Brian Kohberger, the suspect in the 2022 killings of Fortuniversity of Idaho students, has agreed to plead guilty as part of a deal with prosecutors to avoid the death penalty.

Kohberger came into the picture after investigators hundreds of tips, one of them being that a particular car that had been spotted near the scene through security camera footage was possibly his. Eventually, their investigation led them to Brian Kohberger, a 28 year old criminology student attending Washington State University, which is roughly 10 miles away from the University of Idaho. Police were also able to track his phone heading to Moscow before the attack and match his DNA to genetic material that that was taken from the sheath of a knife that was discovered at the scene.

Fox's Jeff Paul, the family of victim Kaylee Gonsalves wrote on Facebook that they're beyond furious at the state of Idaho. The sheriff of Kootenay County, Idaho says the suspect who shot two firefighters to death and wounded a third did so after they asked him to move his vehicle.
