Charges filed in connection with a crash that killed a Texas deputy over the weekend.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says Deputy Erica Serrato was directing traffic on a highway while responding to an early morning crash Sunday when she was struck and killed by a commercial vehicle. She was 24 years old. The sheriff's office revealing Ashton Jammer, a 34 year old allegedly responsible for the initial crash, has been charged with driving while intoxicated, noting ian Perez, a 20 year old who was driving the commercial vehicle is also charged with passing certain vehicles causing bodily injury.
