The departments of Education, labor, justice and Health and Human Services now have new restrictions on certain programs based on the president's executive order called ending taxpayer subsidization of open borders fast. Federal benefits would now be subject to immigration verification. The state attorney general's suing say this will impact meals to the disabled, after school programs to kids, adult education, behavioral health programs and more. The lawsuit says the federal government acted unlawfully by misinterpreting a law that governs public benefits, but also by issuing new rules without following the Administrative Procedure act and of putting new conditions on funding without proper notice.
