They lasted at least one hour. CENTCOM saying that the purpose of the strikes once again to try and degrade Iran's ability to attack shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran was able to disable a Kuwaiti tanker inside the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours. The crew had to evacuate off the coast of Amman. Also, they attacked a desalination plant inside Kuwait.

Meanwhile, Yemen's Houthi rebels are threatening to blockade all of Saudi shipping in the region. Officials say a Mexican man killed after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement encounter in Florida was on vacation in the United States.

A Mexican official in a farm workers advocacy group say the Mexican national had been visiting friends and family in Atlanta before he was struck by a truck while running from ICE officers noting he had a US US tourist visa. Florida Highway Patrol says the 28 year old was one of four people inside of a vehicle stopped in St. Augustine, Florida, who fled on foot during an encounter with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security investigations when he ran into a busy road and was hit by a tractor trailer. DHS and the Highway Patrol have not shared additional details, citing an investigation.

$1 billion in federal Medicaid payments to two states claiming fraud risks.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. With a warning to California and Minnesota that the department is withholding more than $1 billion in federal Medicaid payments until the states turn over additional documentation over what the department describes as suspected fraud and non compliance.

Joseph and Phoenix Henriksen are accused of taking the two federal biologists at gunpoint in Northern California last week, which led to a standoff with law enforcement officials. The biologists were doing research for a study on frog habitats. Court documents say Joseph, who is 49, went up to the workers in a remote section of forest while carrying an AR15 style rifle, zip, tied their hands, then ordered them to a nearby trailer where 23 year old joined them. Negotiators were ultimately able to get them to release the biologist after Joseph Henriksen called law enforcement and asked to speak to a federal investigator.
