Bear hunt in Florida in a decade will take place in December. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission voted unanimously in favor of the plan. The panel had given preliminary approval in May, citing a need to manage growing bear populations. Opponents called the hunt cruel, unnecessary and an excuse for hunters to bag a trophy animal when the real issue is the encroaching human population in a bear habitat. As Florida continues to grow, more Americans say drinking alcohol is bad for them and they don't drink.
Jill Nadeau
53% of Americans say moderate drinking is bad for their health, up from 28% 10 years ago. In the latest Gallup Poll, more younger adults two thirds are likely to say drinking is unhealthy. Half of Americans 55 or older agree. 54% of adults say they drink liquor, beer or wine, had been at least 60% in almost every Gallup Poll since the question was first asked in 1939. In the past, younger adults were more likely to drink. Now they drink the least.
