So far, Democrats have spent a lot of time laying the groundwork for their forthcoming lawsuits against the redistricting plan, arguing that it diminishes the voting power of people of color. Fox's Garrett Tenney. Over a week into President Trump's federal takeover, the police force in Washington, D.C. national Guard troops continue their deployment on the streets of Capitol Hill, working alongside local law enforcement. Vice President J.D. vance joins Fox's the Ingram Angle saying that the president's takeover has made major changes to the nation's capital. Violent crime has dropped in D.C. 35% in nine days. Robberies in D.C. have dropped 55% in nine days. Democrats on Capitol Hill remain opposed to the president's takeover. However, Democratic Mayor Bowser has stated that although she believes this action is unnecessary, the president is acting within his power. And Hurricane Erin expected to bring harsh conditions to the east coast of the United States. Fox's Adam Klotz has the very latest for us.

So no real landfall here. Tropical storm warning from North Carolina stretching up into Virginia. A lot of those outer bank islands are those kind of spots that are going to see the worst of this. The wind's not horribly strong as we still are fairly far out to sea. Actual flooding moving into some of these areas. And then as we get later in the week, we watch the storm continue to track north. Now, it's probably not as close to landfall at this point, but it still will impact some area beaches as you head into the weekend. So getting up along New England and in parts of the mid Atlantic, you're looking at a high rip current risk.
