Felicia Brian o' Hara says the shooter, armed with a rifle, a shotgun and pistol, opened fire into the church from the outside through the stained glass windows. Children from a Catholic school were inside along with adults to celebrate Mass.

Two were young children, ages 8 and 10 that were sitting in the pews at Mass when they were shot and killed. They were pronounced deceased on the scene.

There were 19 victims in all. O' Hara says the shooter, identified as Robin Westman, died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. Legal documents show Westman was born with the name Robert, but applied for a name change as a minor, citing gender identity. FBI Director Cash Patel says the shooting is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime targeting Catholics. A judge has backed a lawsuit by an environmental group saying the detention facility known as Alligator Alcatraz is a threat threat to the Everglades.

The judge ordered the facility's population has to be down to0 within two months. Florida's filed an appeal. About 300 to 350 detainees were reported to be there as of last week.

Abrego Garcia, the man the Trump administration has admitted was wrongly deported to El Salvador, has requested asylum in the U.S. he was denied asylum in 2019. The administration says he's part of the notorious Ms. 13 gang, which he denies and has said that he will be deported to Uganda. Earlier this week, he was detained by immigration officials after being freed while awaiting trial on human trafficking charges. A tragic update to the story of a pregnant teenager who police say was shot in the head during a road rage incident in Louisiana.

Police say 17 year old Caitlyn Strait has died after being removed from life support. That shooting happened Sunday morning in Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana. Police say 54 year old Barry west and another vehicle, an SUV, were tailgating and brake checking each other before west fired a shot into the suv. Straight, who was seven months pregnant in the passenger seat, was struck in the head. Her baby was saved by C section and police say continues to do well under medical care. Trump administration is considering buying stakes in other American companies like it did with Intel.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said in an interview that after taking a stick in intel, the US Government is having monstrous discussions about taking stakes in defense companies. Lutnick said Lockheed Martin gets most of its money from US Taxpayers already. During Tuesday's Cabinet meeting, Lutnick defended the intel deal, saying the president just turned CHIPS act money and a grant into a government stake.
