Her family in a statement said that she was a bright, joyful and deeply loved 10 year old whose laughter, kindness and spirit touched everyone who knew her. The mother of the suspect, Mary Westman, has retained a criminal defense attorney who told Fox News Westman is completely distraught about the situation and has no culpability and sought an attorney to deal with calls from the media. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian Oharra says multiple search warrants were executed, including at several homes that have connections with the shooter.

Some European nations say they're starting the process to reimpose nuclear sanctions against Iran.

France, Germany and the United Kingdom announced in a letter to UN Security Council members that they are triggering the so called snapback mechanism to reimpose sanctions on Iran. These sanctions had been suspended under the 2015 nuclear deal and would again freeze Iranian assets abroad, stop arms deals with Tehran and impose penalties on any development of Iran's ballistic missile program. The move by the European Nation starts a 30 day clock for the sanctions to return. Iran's foreign minister called the action unjustified and illegal. In a call with his European counterparts.
