The federal appeals court has ruled that Lisa Cook can remain a Federal Reserve Board governor after President Trump tried to remove her over allegations of mortgage fraud, which she denies. Separately, the Senate has voted along party lines to confirm White House economic adviser Steven Myron to an open spot on the Fed board. The Federal Reserve is expected to vote this week to cut a key interest rate. The suspect in the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kurt expected in Court tomorrow. 22 year old Tyler Robinson could face capital murder charges as Attorney General Pam Bondi says the suspect could face a federal indictment.

British police say the main suspect in Madeleine McCann's disappearance refuses to cooperate with the investigation.

Madeleine McCann disappeared from a resort in Portugal in 2007. She was three years old, on vacation with her family from England. Police in Great Britain and Germany said five years ago a German man named Christian Bruckner probably killed her. Now he's due to be released from prison soon after serving seven years for raping a woman in the same area of Portugal where Madeleine McCann disappeared. British police say he has refused their request to be interviewed about the case. He's denied having anything to do with it. German and Portuguese police are also still actively investigating. The African country of Zambia has sentenced two men to two years in prison with hard labor after they were convicted of plotting to kill the country's president using witchcraft. The men, one from Zambia, the other from Mozambique, were found to be in possession of charms and other items intended to put a spell on the president with the intention of killing. A North Korean defector whose radio broadcast sent foreign news to Pyongyang has died at the age of 63.

He delivered his message about North Korea using his Seoul based Free North Korea Radio USB sticks and a network of sources in the secretive country. Kim Song Min was a captain in the North Korean army when he fled to China in 1995, arriving in South Korea four years later. Kim died Friday in a Seoul hospital from cancer, his cremated remains placed near the border with North Korea. The founder of the radio station said before the 2012 presidential election, he recorded a special program explaining a US election system, comparing it with the North Korean system where a sole candidate wins nearly 100% of the votes cast at each district in parliamentary elections.
