Nvidia says it will invest $5 billion in Intel. The two will work together to develop chips for personal computers and data centers. Nvidia's chips are considered crucial for artificial intelligence. The investment will make Nvidia one of Intel's largest shareholders with 4% or more of the company. Last month, intel agreed to give the US a 10% stake in the company in exchange for $8.9 billion in grants from the 2022 Chips Act.
