Special envoy Ste Witkoff goes to Moscow today for another round of talks trying to get Russia to stop the war in Ukraine. Pushing a peace plan. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spent the weekend negotiating with Ukrainians.

He is though facing first degree murder for the death of 20 year old Sarah Beckstrom. As investigators dig into his background, new reporting indicates he may have been struggling to adjust to life here in the US The AP says Lock Onwell had been having problems holding a steady job and would sometimes spend weeks in isolation.

That's fox's Madeline Rivera. The manhunt continues in California for the gunman in a mass shooting that left three kids and a 21 year old dead Saturday night. 11 others injured.

We're told at least one of the other shooting victims is in critical condition fighting for their life. Authorities say they're looking for one, maybe two or more people who opened fire at a child's birthday party Saturday night in Stockton, California. That's about 50 miles south of Sacramento. Happened at a banquet hall in a busy part of town.

That's fox's Claudia Cowan. A federal appeals court could take a federal prosecutor off the job, upholding a ruling. New Jersey U.S. attorney Alina Haba's appointment has passed 120 days allowed. And that's an issue that is now potentially going to be appealed again by the Trump administration.

A lower court judge in August ruled Haba's actions since July when her interim term expired, could be invalidated, putting that order on hold pending appeal. New Jersey senators Democrats use what's called a blue slip process to block Haba from being confirmed. Federal judges in the state then used their power to appoint someone else. But Attorney General Pam Bondi fired that person and put Haba back in as fox's Chris Foster.
