Ruling comes under a new law requiring the federal government open its files on both the late Epstein and his now imprisoned companion, Ghislaine Maxwell. That law signed by President Trump creates a narrow exception to rules usually keeping grand jury records secret, exceptions specific to the Epstein matter. A different federal court in New York earlier this week ordered the release of records from Maxwell's case. A federal judge in Florida last week did the same for an abandoned case in Florida from the 2000s. Eben Brown, Fox News.

That law requires the documents released by December 19th. President Trump says he likes the idea of a Senate Republican plan replacing Obamacare subsidies expiring at the end of the month with contributions to health savings accounts.

Votes are planned tomorrow on that plan and one from Senate Democrats that extends Affordable Care act credits for three years. A House vote is planned today on a defense and national security policy bill.

The NDAA sets military policy and expenditures for the end of the fiscal year. Nearly $900 billion will be allocated for national defense with an increase in troop pay. There's also a number of provisions divide lawmakers such as 400 million in aid for Ukraine and a provision that would cut Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth travel budget if he doesn't release the full video of the boat strikes on alleged cartel boats in Washington.
