Deputy attorney Todd Blanche, St. Paul Police actively probing the incident as a disorderly conduct investigation. This as the Department of Justice has notified a federal appeals court that will appeal a ruling that federal officers in the Minneapolis area cannot detain or tear gas peaceful protesters who are not obstructing authorities. Federal immigration officials say a Nicaraguan national died while in custody in Texas.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealing Victor manuel Diaz, a 36 year old detainee from Nicaragua was found unresponsive last week at Camp East Montana in El Paso, Texas explaining they believe he died by suicide but the official cause of his death remains under investigation. According to ICE, Diaz entered the US illegally in March of 2024. He was taken into custody earlier this month in Minneapolis and was transferred to Texas. Camp East Montana on the US Army's Fort Bliss base in El Paso is one of the largest ICE detention facilities.

President Trump responded to those remarks saying in an interview with Politico that it's time to look for new leadership in Iran in preparation for possible US Action against Iran. The Detroit Free Press reports that Oakland county prosecutor Karen McDonald is being accused by a former Wayne county prosecutor of putting winning over justice and using the case against Jennifer and James Crumbley to advance her political career. That McDonald withheld evidence, protected key witnesses and used the media and a public relations firm to allegedly prejudice the defendants early on while a gag order was in place. The Crumbly's sentenced to at least 10 years in prison for providing the gun their then 15 year old son used to kill The Oakland county attorney's office saying it's proud of their work and of the verdicts. Battling forest fires that have killed at least 19 people and forced 50,000 to leave their homes as they sweep through thousands of acres in the center and the south of the country. Union Pacific says it's ready to provide the necessary information to wrap up its merger with Norfolk Southern.

Union Pacific says it will provide additional information requested by the Surface Transportation Board, which last week declared its merger application with Norfolk Southern incomplete. The companies were invited to revise and resubmit the application. Regulators wanted more information on the combined company's projected market share and some other documents. The Wall Street Journal says the request is likely to delay what it's already expected to be a lengthy merger review. The Union Pacific Norfolk Southern merger will create a single company controlling coast to coast rail shipments for the first time in U.S. history.
