They have a plan. I'm Lisa Lacera, FOX News. The White House and Senate working together on a way to limit the impact of a government shutdown.
Bill Malusian
What that deal would see is that DHS funding bill be split away from the package of five other appropriations bills. Those five other bills have broad bipartisan support. They could pass those separately. What would then happen with the DHS bill is they would use what's called a two week continuing resolution to fund DHS for two weeks while they negotiate what they want to do with this ICE money. The problem with that is by changing anything about this package of bills, it would then have to be bounced back to the House.
