Prosecutors say he did it because he was upset over the pending federal ban of TikTok, which never happened. Police responded to a reported fire outside the office of Congressman Glenn Grothman. They found 20 year old Kaden Stachowicz. Cops say he told them he was angry with Grothman for voting in favor of the bill that mandated the sale of TikTok by parent company ByteDance or see the app get shut down in the U.S. but President Trump has repeatedly extended a January 19 deadline, the day the fire was set. Stackowitz has pleaded no contest to felony arson, meaning he'll no longer fight the charges, but does not admit guilt. He still faces up to 40 years in prison.

Ranking House Judiciary Committee member Jamie Raskin says a whistleblower is claiming convicted Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is being treated very favorably at the federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas. She was moved to the minimum security facility after meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch. In a letter to President Trump, Raskin is accusing the president of favoring Maxwell in exchange for her testimony, claiming never to have seen the president acting inappropriately. The president has always insisted he had minimal interactions with Epstein. Raskin's letter demands President Trump make Deputy AG Blanche testify before the committee. In response to the scandal, a New Jersey House Democrat announces she will not run for reelection next year.

She represents New Jersey's 12th district in the southern part of the state, considered a safe seat for the Democrats to hold next year.
