Mother Nature may have some unwelcome surprises in store for Thanksgiving travelers as a cross country storm could bring flight delays and dangerous driving conditions. Forecasters say the storm system, which originated in the Southeast, could affect the central, southern and eastern US this week. Heavy rain, severe thunderstorms and periods of snow could disrupt disrupt both traffic on the roads and in the skies. The Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving are usually the busiest travel days and fall in the time frame for significant weather events. A federal judge has dismissed the criminal cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Tish James, concluding that the prosecutor who brought the charges at President Trump's urging was illegally appointed by the Justice Department. The Pentagon announcing that it's investigating Arizona Senator Mark Kelly over possible breaches of military law after the former Navy pilot joined a handful of other Democrat lawmakers in a video calling for troops to defy illegal orders. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said it's not surprising the lawmakers couldn't specify the so called illegal orders.

They can't identify illegal orders because there are no illegal orders. Service members have a legal obligation under the US UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful.

With more Marines aboard the USS Fort Lauderdale escorted by the destroyer Stockdale transiting offshore. Those Marines just wrapped up a week of training here in Trinidad, part of the show of force known as Operation Southern Spear. In the Caribbean, the State Department designated a cartel linked to Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro as a foreign terrorist organization, with the administration accusing Maduro and his generals of enriching themselves in the drug trade. The administration says the new designation opens up the cartel to airstrikes. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Raisin Cain, has arrived in Puerto Rico to receive an operational update on Southern Spear.

The cartel de los Soles is allegedly run out of the Venezuelan military, and President Trump had a phone call this morning with Chinese President Xi Jinping and afterwards announced that he would be heading to Beijing for a meeting in April.
