To reach a ceasefire in the Ukraine war. President Zelensky revealed he is willing to withdraw his troops from the eastern part of his country if Russia does the same. Ukraine also wants to transform the territory into a demilitarized zone. The US Held talks with both Russia and Ukraine over the weekend to hammer out details on a peace plan plan but there are still major sticking points about territory and Russia is expected to formally respond in the coming days. Some in the Trump administration remain hopeful a deal can be reached to end the war now. When asked about a timeline for the potential end of war, Ambassador Whitaker says it could happen in the next 90 days.
