The U.S. southern Command in a post on X shared details of what it called a lethal kinetic strike, the term meaning direct use of artillery to destroy a target as part of Operation Southern Spear. The vessel, according to intelligence received, was identified and spotted traveling along a known eastern Pacific narco terrorism route. According to Southern Command, two men were killed in the strike. No military personnel were hurt.
