President Trump is threatening to wipe out Iranian oil infrastructure on Kharg island if Iran doesn't open the Strait of Hormuz. As Iran continues to block the Strait of Hormuz, President Trump is calling for warships to escort oil tankers through the strait. Fox's Dana Marie McNichol reports from West Palm Beach, Florida.
Dana Marie McNichol
The U.S. conducted a large scale strike on Carg Island, a critical export hub for Iran's oil, as President Trump continues to apply pressure on Iran to keep the Strait of Hormuz open. Now he said the US and several countries will send warships there to make sure the ships can flow through. He urged China, France, Japan, South Korea and the UK to do the same. On Truth Social, he said the countries of the world that receive oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of that passage and we will help a lot. The US Will also coordinate with those countries so that everything goes smoothly, quickly and well. This should have always been a team effort and now it will be.

the oil industry in California could be making a comeback as Energy Secretary Chris Wright orders a pipeline in the Golden State to reopen. Fox's Marianne Rafferty reports from Los Angeles.
Marianne Rafferty
Energy Secretary Chris Wright ordered the pipeline to restart after an executive order signed by President Trump Friday aimed at addressing supply disruptions nationwide. That order ignores California's strict green energy policies that have led to more than 60% of oil in the Golden State coming from overseas through the Strait of Hormuz, where oil tankers currently are having a hard time getting through due to the war in Iran, in a statement writes saying the Trump administration remains committed to putting all Americans in their energy security first. Unfortunately, some state leaders have not adhered to those same principles, with potentially disastrous consequences not just for residents, but also for national security.
