Forced out. This is a FOX News alert. I'm Angelo Bavaro. Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell is quitting the race to be California's next governor amid sexual misconduct allegations. Fox's Jill Nado reports.

Congressman Swalwell posted on Xlate Sunday, I am suspending my campaign for governor. To my family, staff, friends and supporters. I am deeply sorry for mistakes and judgment I've made in my past. I will fight the serious false allegations that have been made made, but that's my fight, not a campaign's. Meanwhile, staffers working at his congressional office and at his gubernatorial campaign headquarters said they were supporting the woman accusing Swalwell of sexual misconduct. He had also lost support in the governor's race from fellow Democratic lawmakers like Senator Adam Schiff and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Jill Nado, FOX News.

President Trump says the US Will conduct its own blockade of the Strait of Hormuz which would block Iran friendly ships that Iran has let through its blockade.

The blockade will involve stopping any ships that come out of Iranian ports or Iranian coastal areas. US Ships will not be stopping vessels traveling from non Iranian ports. The early stages of de mining the strait has begun and information about a safe path through the strait will be communicated to commercial mariners. Now Iran's Revolutionary Guard put out a defiant statement that the Strait of Hormuz is is now under their control and any warship approaching the strait will be seen as a breach of the cease fire and will be dealt with strongly. President Trump told Maria Bartiromo details of the naval blockade.

New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani marking his first 100 days in office with a rally promising to start rolling out plans for city run grocery stores in every borough starting with East Harlem in Manhattan.
