Isolated showers and storms are still in our forecast as that boundary continues to drape over Texas. Showers and storms continuing to pop up with this moisture also coming in from the Gulf. There is still a lot of rain potential there as we move farther downstream. Many trees have been uprooted farther down the river. Many homes just completely wiped out. All that was left was the foundation and maybe a few porches, but everything here is completely wiped out. Amongst this tragedy community coming together and trying to help each other in any way that they can. There was a few people that were coming in from out of town helping clean up at Camp mystic and also throughout town and also just bringing neighbors any supplies that they need.

Democrats still have plenty of complaints when it comes to the one big beautiful bill President Trump has signed, but they believe it may help them in the midterms. More from Fox's Kevin Yaretsky.

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson says the most important economic part of the bill was making the 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent. The bottom 20% of earners saw their lowest federal tax rate in 40 years. Johnson says the legislation builds on that by eliminating taxes on overtime and tips. The average American, the typical American household have $13,000 more in take home pay. But California Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna pushes back on that claim.

I just don't think that taking away the health care with the Medicaid cuts and food assistance to give the tax breaks for the very wealthy is going to be good for working in middle class Americans.

A group of armed men in small boats firing guns and launching rocket propelled grenades at a maritime vessel in the sea off the coast of Yemen on Sunday. The crew reported the vessel was taking on water and they were preparing to abandon ship. So far, there's been no claim of responsibility, but suspicion would point heavily to the Houthi rebels who in solidarity with Hamas, have targeted more than 100 merchant vessels in the last two years, sinking two of them and killing four sailors. Also greatly reducing the flow of trade through the Red Sea corridor, which typically sees $1 trillion of goods moved through it every year. Jack Callahan, FOX News.

Vice President J.D. Vance echoed these sentiments, highlighting the national heartbreak over the tragedy.

Republican Perspective on Tax Legislation
Shifting focus to Washington D.C., Jack Callahan reported at [02:42] on the recent legislative developments concerning tax reforms. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson emphasized the economic benefits of making the 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent.
"The bottom 20% of earners saw their lowest federal tax rate in 40 years. The legislation builds on that by eliminating taxes on overtime and tips," Johnson asserted.
Johnson further highlighted the positive impact on average American households, claiming an increase of $13,000 in take-home pay for the typical family.
"The average American, the typical American household have $13,000 more in take home pay," he proclaimed.
Democratic Opposition and Concerns
However, the legislation faced criticism from Democratic lawmakers. Congressman Ro Khanna from California contested the claims, expressing concerns over the bill's implications for social welfare programs.
"I just don't think that taking away the health care with the Medicaid cuts and food assistance to give the tax breaks for the very wealthy is going to be good for working and middle-class Americans," Khanna argued at [03:08].
Khanna criticized the focus on tax reductions for the wealthy at the expense of essential services for lower-income families, framing the bill as detrimental to the middle class.
"It is not going to be good for working and middle-class Americans," he emphasized.
Both Johnson and Khanna appeared on Fox News Sunday, further elucidating their respective positions on the bill.
Attack on Maritime Vessel
At [03:28], Jack Callahan reported a concerning incident involving armed men attacking a maritime vessel near Yemen. The assault included the use of firearms and rocket-propelled grenades, leading to the vessel taking on water and forcing the crew to prepare for abandonment.
"A group of armed men in small boats firing guns and launching rocket-propelled grenades at a maritime vessel... the vessel was taking on water and they were preparing to abandon ship," Callahan relayed.
Potential Perpetrators and Implications
While no group has officially claimed responsibility, suspicions point towards the Houthi rebels, who have been linked to over 100 merchant vessel attacks in the past two years. These actions have resulted in the sinking of two ships and the death of four sailors, significantly disrupting the flow of trade through the Red Sea corridor.
"Houthi rebels... have targeted more than 100 merchant vessels in the last two years, sinking two of them and killing four sailors," Callahan noted.
The Red Sea remains a crucial maritime route, typically handling $1 trillion worth of goods annually, making these attacks a significant threat to international trade.
Diplomatic Movements and Ceasefire Prospects

"President Trump says he is still optimistic that a 60 day ceasefire can be put into place this week," Guzman reported.
An Israeli negotiating team had also arrived in Qatar, aiming to facilitate discussions towards achieving a temporary halt to hostilities.
Violence and Casualties in Gaza
Despite these diplomatic initiatives, violence persisted on the ground. The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry reported that Israeli airstrikes had killed at least 38 Palestinians on Sunday in Gaza, underscoring the volatile situation.
