Texas Governor Greg Abbott as the search for the missing and the dead from the devastating floods nears a sixth day, the number killed has reached at least 109. And it just got harder and darker as the number of missing nearly triples to 161.

Hope for finding survivors was always a long shot after the first few hours. Now, with each passing hour, that hope becomes more bleak. Officials here in Kerr county were grilled about the fact that the flood caught everyone by surprise. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said the failures here will be examined and systems put in place so this won't happen again.

Wisconsin's liberal majority high court in a 4, 3 ruling says the state's Democratic governor, Tony Evers can ban the practice of using therapy to convert LGBTQ people to heterosexuality or traditional genders, a practice that's banned in 23 states and D.C. the provision was blocked twice by a Republican controlled licensing committee, though Republicans who supported suspending the conversion therapy ban and insist the issue isn't about policy but whether the committee has the authority to take the action. It did that. The high court's ruling now also gives the governor more power over how state laws are written. Jeff Manasso, FOX News.
