Continuing to make their case. I'm Sue Gosman, FOX News. The preliminary hearings against Charlie Crook's alleged killer continue. Today, the judge heard testimony from Robinson's former roommate.

Judge Tony Graff allowed portions of the investigative interview with Lance Twiggs to be played in court. Twiggs told prosecutors after the shooting Tyler Robinson cried and said he wished he hadn't done it, that while he previously heard Robinson talk about politics, I personally

Israel has reportedly shared intelligence warnings that Iran was developing a new plan to assassinate President Donald Trump. That's according to the Wall Street Journal. Iran has repeatedly vowed to retaliate following the 2020 US strike that killed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps General Qasem Soleimani. Meanwhile, President Trump says despite the back and forth strikes with Iran, Tehran has reached out to talk.

The president told reporters yesterday for now, the cease fire with Iran is dead, but that the regime called him to try to make a deal. He's just not sure yet if they are worthy of making a deal with. Centcom reports US forces hit about 90 Iranian military targets, including their air defense programs, their coastal surveillance assets, their missile and drone storage sites, and also their naval capabilities and military logistics, the infrastructure along Iran's coastline. Now this all follows another set of strikes on Tuesday. The U.S. is responding to Iran continuing to strike ships trying to transit the Strait of Hormuz.

Prosecutors in Ohio charging eight men with terrorism and attempted murder charges for their roles in a foiled attack during the UFC fight at the White House last month. Fox's Jared Halpern.

The eight men were indicted in Ohio in two separate conspiracies to provide material support to terrorists and to murder a federal government official. All the defendants are accused of helping plot a drone and sniper attack at the White House during last month's UFC event. Federal investigators say the plan began in May. Law enforcement officials learned of the threat on June 10, just days before the UFC event. One suspect says the plot included flying explosive laden drones into the event and they shooting at the crowd. Seven of the eight suspects were arrested last month. The Justice Department says an eighth suspect, Chandler Skaggs of West Virginia, was charged this week at the White House. Jared Halpern, FOX News Democrats hoping to

regain the majority in the US Senate as the November midterm elections approach. Their efforts suffered a setback after US Senate candidate in Maine, Graham Platner dropped out of the race Wednesday following a new sexual assault allegation, something he denied.

Democrats appeared blind to Graham Platner in their quest for change. The error in Maine could cost the party control of the Senate. So if Democrats struggle in Maine, they're looking at other seats to flip. They have their eyes on Alaska and Iowa. Former Senator Sherrod Brown is trying a comeback in Ohio. Now Platner and other candidates have baggage, but others like Brown and former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper are known quantities. Ohio and North Carolina are seats which Democrats must win.
