The president talking about responding to those missiles that were launched toward forces in Jordan. We know at least five of them shot down by the Americans. Now, the United States hasn't yet responded, but overnight US And Saudi planes conducted a series of airstrikes against Iran backed Shia militia forces in Iraq who were responsible for 30 drone attacks over the past three days. President Trump told Fox News those strikes were coordinated with the Iraqi government and he called these militia groups a cancer on the world.

A ceremonial guard escorted the flag draped casket of Senator Lindsey Graham from the South Carolina Statehouse grounds to a funeral service at a nearby Baptist church. This followed Tuesday's ceremonies in Washington, D.C. attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky. Longtime friend Armstrong Williams says Senator Graham strongly believed in the use of American power to promote peace around the world. Late Tuesday, the Senate cast a bipartisan vote to advance a bill named in honor of Lindsey Graham. Dr. Anthony Fauci not seeing a lot during questioning from a Senate committee today. I respectfully decline to answer Fauci refusing to answer questions from lawmakers about his advice during the COVID pandemic over whether he misled the public about the virus's origins.

Fauci's attorney, David Shurtler, was bounced from the hearing after he tried to explain to Paul that Fauci had a right to not answer questions. Now Republicans railed against Fauci about how he handled the pandemic. In fact, Ohio Republican Bernie Moreno says Fauci is why he ran for office. With Fauci going mom, Paul plans to hold him in contempt of Congress. Now the full Senate must vote on contempt, but it takes 60 years to clear a filibuster. That's followed by a second vote to refer Fauci to the DOJ for prosecution. The Senate has not held anyone in contempt of Congress since 1971.

A jury finding Hadi Matar guilty on all counts, including engaging in an act of transnational terrorism in the 2022 stabbing of author Salman Rushdie. The 28 year old is already serving a 25 year prison sentence. Convicted in New York for attempted murder in the attack, he faces a potential life sentence with the federal conviction. Rushdie, an Indian born British and American novelist, was severely injured and lost sight in his right eye after being stabbed 15 times in front of an audience. Prosecutors allege Matar was motivated by an Iranian leader's call for Rushdie's death over controversy Sparked by his 1988 book the Satanic versus defense attorneys argued the government had no proof of Matar's state of mind.
