With some backup tomorrow. The leaders of Ukraine, the European Union, NATO, Finland, France, Germany, Italy and Britain will come here to the White House with the goal of ending the war. And Secretary of State Marco Rubio says that's not going to be easy.
Marco Rubio
These are hard issues that remain. You know, the conversation about where the territorial lines are going to be, questions about long term security guarantees and who Ukraine can have military alliances with, things like that. These are difficult things. But I do believe we made progress in narrowing down the issue set. But there's a lot of work that remains.
Lucas Tomlinson
Russia's war in Ukraine continues today. Today in Brussels, Zelensky met with other European leaders, some virtually from the Riviera.

President Trump on truth social hinting at what some of the points of discussion might be saying. Ukraine can end the immediately by dropping demands to join NATO and abandoning plans to try to reclaim Crimea. US Special envoy to the Middle East Stephen Witkoff has said Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed that the US and European allies could offer Article 5 like protection to Ukraine. Hurricane Erin continuing on its path through the Atlantic. We have the latest from Fox's Ashley Stromer.
Ashley Stromer
Hurricane Erin continues to lash the Caribbean with damaging winds and heavy rain. Right now the powerful Category 3 storm is packing 125 mile per hour winds and is just east of Turks and Caicos. Erin's outer bands have already knocked out power to nearly 150,000 people in Puerto Rico. And while it's not forecast to make landfall, the storm is expected to double or even triple in size. That could bring life threatening surf and rip currents to the east coast by midweek.
Sue Guzman
The storm was downgraded a bit but is expected to bring the waves to the East Coast. America is listening to FOX News.

Investigators say at least four people opened fire at the Brooklyn Lounge in what they believe is a gang related shooting. This week, California lawmakers are expected to approve new proposed congressional maps for voters to then approve in a special election this November. California Democrats say they've launched this campaign to counter the ongoing effort by President Donald Donald Trump and Texas Republicans to create up to five GOP friendly congressional seats in the Lone Star State. It's part of a bigger effort by Republicans to keep the House majority during the midterms next year. They have a razor thin majority right now.
