A setback. I'm Debra Valentine, FOX News. A judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon. Fox's Jill Nadeau has the latest from Washington.

U.S. northern Command had said 200 National Guard troops were being sent into Portland. But in response to a lawsuit by Oregon's attorney general, a federal judge is granted a temporary restraining order to keep them out until October 18th. President Trump wants his troops in, citing several demonstrations outside the Portland ICE facility, calling the city war ravaged. But Oregon Governor Tina Kotek and other Democrats have been saying there's no need for those troops, that the president and others are misrepresenting the situation. Hamas to follow through and start releasing those hostages. He posted, quote, hamas must move quickly or else all bets will be off. I will not tolerate delay which many think will happen or any outcome where Gaza poses a threat. Again, let's get this done fast. Everyone will be treated fairly. The president also says he appreciates that Israel has temporarily stopped bombing Gaza to give the hostage release and peace deal a chance to succeed. Israel says it believes there are around 20 living hostages in Gaza. Hamas says it's willing to release the hostages and transition Gaza's government to other Palestinians.

Hundreds arrested in pro Palestinian protests in London after a Yom Kippur attack on a Manchester synagogue killed two. Fox's Stephanie Bennett reports from London.

The Metropolitan Police say 493 people have been arrested in London despite requests from organizers to call off these demonstrations. Organizers defend our juries said hundreds took part in demonstrations backing the group Palestine Action, who was proscribed by the in July, making it illegal to show any support or affiliation to them after its members broke into an air base and damaged military planes. Now, despite demonstrations being largely peaceful, police say many people committed an offense just by holding signs saying they support the Palestine Action Group. Police also say it's a drain on resources, as extra officers were already stationed at synagogues and the ability to protect Jewish communities would be compromised.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer asked protesters to respect the Jewish community's grief, writing on X It is not a time to stoke tension and cause further pain. UK's parliament moved to ban Palestine Action in July, saying the group's orchestration and inaction of aggressive and intimidatory attacks pass the thresholds established in the terrorism act of 2000. Virginia's Governor Glenn Youngkin is calling on Democratic Attorney General candidate Jay Jones to bow out of the race for AG after a recent leak of controversial texts.

Jones is trying to be Virginia's top legal officer, but his resurfaced text messages from 2022 are alarming people on both sides of the aisle. Some background A virgin delegate had recently passed away and people were pouring in tributes, including then Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert. Well, that led to the attorney General candidate Jones texting another Republican delegate, Harry Coiner, saying some pretty foul things about Gilbert.
