A federal judge is not blocking the National Guard from being sent to Illinois for now.

Federal Judge April Perry decided against a restraining order that would have temporarily stopped the National Guard in Illinois and Texas from being deployed to Chicago. She gave the Justice Department till Wednesday to respond to Chicago's lawsuit. Earlier Monday Governor JB Pritzker accused the Trump administration of inciting the city's residents with the other forms of federal law enforcement already deployed.

Senator Tom Cotton is among those calling for an investigation into Biden appointed Judge Deborah Boardman over the eight year and one month prison sentence handed down to Nicholas Roski. Rosky, who now goes by the name Sophie, yet is still identified by his legal name in court documents, admitted to the 2022 cross country plot to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh and others. This was in response to the leaked decision that led to Roe v. Wade ultimately being overturned. In her decision, Judge Boardman credited Rosky for abandon the plan and cooperating with police and expressed concern over how a male prison could cause harm.
