The government remains closed. I'm Sue Guzman, FOX News. Senate voting for a fifth time today and again failed either to pass the Democrats or Republicans competing bills to reopen and fund the government.

The shutdown now in its sixth day. Democrats are calling for a continuation of subsidies in the Affordable Care Act. Republicans say they want a clean continuing resolution that would fund the government through late November. President Trump telling reporters Monday he's open to making a deal with Democrats on health care if it is a good deal. He also said another failed vote could trigger layoffs in the federal workforce. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the bottom line.

Is that the American people know if they do layoffs, if they do riffs, it falls on Donald Trump's shoulders. He's doing it, not Democrats. And the American people know that two.

Major government unions are now suing. Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vote over the threats of mass firings. President Trump is urging negotiators in Egypt to move quickly on the Israel, Hamas, Gaza peace plan. Fox's Jennifer Griffin has more from Tel Aviv.

The negotiations in Charm El Sheikh focused on the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, not the more complicated issues of Hamas disarmament and the Israeli military's withdrawal from Gaza. This weekend, President Trump called Prime Minister Netanyahu to say Hamas had accepted his 20 point plan. Trump denied an Axios report that he grew frustrated with the Israeli prime minister and said, I don't know why you are always so expletive. Negative. This is a win.
