Peace deal phase one officially approved by Israel. I'm Sue Guzman, Fox News. They're steering in the streets of Israel is Israel and Hamas have agreed to a pause in the fighting following the Trump administration backed proposed peace deal. Now the Israeli government has approved the first phase of the Gaza peace plan to release all the hostages process expected to start this weekend. Of the 48 hostages taken, only about 20 are are still believed to be alive. Fox's Jackie Heinrich has more on the latest developments from the White House.

The president was showered with praise from his cabinet and taking a victory lap on this historic peace deal. With days of celebration ahead, we are not hearing the kinds of skepticism that we heard in the past when deals appeared close or even when there was a cease fire previously that fell apart in March. This time there seems to be recognition from Israel, Hamas, the Arab nations that it is time for this war to come to a close. New York State's top cop is now facing charges. We have the story from Fox's Kevin.

Cork, a federal grand jury in Virginia indicting the New York Attorney General Letitia James on two counts related to alleged mortgage bank fraud. James or Big Tish as she's been monikered by some of her critics was being probed for alleged paperwork discrepancies on her Brooklyn townhouse and her Virginia home. She allegedly declared both to be primary residences on mortgage applications, which you just can't do. She has publicly denied any wrongdoing and she responded to the charges today with a video saying this about the president.

Last year, James won a civil case against then candidate Trump and his companies in a lawsuit alleging he lied to banks and others about the value of his assets. The government shutdown continuing. Day number nine, Democrats remaining firm in their demands that any deal include an extension of Obamacare subsidies which are expiring, as well as a rollback of Medicaid cuts.
