The president was showered with praise from his cabinet and taking a victory lap on this historic peace deal. With days of celebration ahead, we are not hearing the kinds of skepticism that we heard in the past when deals appeared close or even when there was a cease fire previously that fell apart in March. This time there seems to be recognition from Israel, Hamas, the Arab nations that it is time for this war to come to a close. And President Trump's pressure on Israel and Hamas with the help of those Arab states is credited with driving it across the finish line. The deal puts in effect phase one of the 20 point peace plan. The hostages will come home, Israel will withdraw to agreed upon lines and then the work of this administration will continue in rebuilding and redeveloping a terror free Gaza.

And we're only going to cut Democrat programs.
Fox News Correspondent
I hate to tell you.
Fox News Reporter
I guess that makes sense, but we're only cutting Democrat programs. The president did not specify which programs could be on the chopping block. In the initial days of the shutdown, the White House budget office froze billions of dollars in infrastructure funding for Democrat led states. The administration is also warning of layoffs, not just furloughs for federal workers. At the White House, Jared Halpern, FOX News.
