Overnight, hundreds of thousands of Israelis gathered here in Hostages Square for what they hope will be their final rally. With the families of those expected to be released by Hamas standing behind them and many former hostages, anticipation is high in these final hours. The hostages are expected to be picked up by the Red Cross inside Gaza and then transferred to Israeli forces. Then they'll be reunited with family members and flown by helicopter to local hospitals for medical treatment. The hostages are set to be exchanged for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. 142 of them are likely to be deported abroad. 100 released into the West bank, five to East Jerusalem and three to Gaza.

A powerful nor' easter making its way up the east coast towards New England, bringing heavy rain, wind and flooding. Fox Weather's Mike Seidel has the latest from Mahobooth Beach, Delaware.

Winds are still gusting close to 40 miles an hour. It is a nasty night out here. The only thing that could make it worse if the temperature was any colder, it's now right around 59 or 60. So it's come down. Sand is, is being picked up by these winds. So we've got some blowing sand and we still have the high surf, 8 to 10 footers crashing onto the beaches here. And that surf has been eating away, especially at times of high tide. And this steady onshore wind continues to keep the water from going out. So the low tide, we've only had about a third of an inch of rain so far.

President Trump now says the US may provide Ukraine with long range Tomahawk missiles.
B
I might say, look, if this war is not going to get settled, I'm going to send them Tomahawks. I may say that the Tomahawk is an incredible weapon, very offensive weapon, and honestly, Russia does not need that.

President Trump spoke by phone today with Ukraine's president, Vladimir zelensky. At least four people have been killed, 20 injured in a mass shooting at a bar in St. Helena Island, S.C. and deputies called to Willie's Bar and Grill finding multiple people with gunshot wounds. There were several hundred at the bar at the time. No word on what prompted the shooting and no arrest had been made. A legal limbo ends for a South Carolina death row inmate.

Fred Singleton was condemned to die in South Carolina's electric chair back in 1983 for the rape and murder of a woman. Police had found his fingerprints at her home and her jewelry in his pocket when he was arrested. But Singleton's attorneys argued he was mentally incompetent, and the South Carolina State Supreme Court eventually agreed, blocking his execution but leaving the death sentence in place in case he should someday be restored to reason. It didn't happen and never will. Fred Singleton died last week from natural causes in a prison infirmary. He was 81 and spent more than half his life on death row.
