J.D. Vance
Vice President J.D. vance at work is underway to retrieve all of the hostage bodies still in Gaza and that they still expect Hamas.
Ruben Gallego
To disarm Hamas while all the fighters can be given some sort of clemency. They're not going to be able to kill each other and they're not going to be able to kill their fellow Palestinians.
J.D. Vance
He says the eventual goal is to ensure there are security forces not composed of Americans who can oversee maintaining peace in Gaza.
Ruben Gallego
I think once we've got to a point where both the Gazans and our Israeli friends can have some measure of security, then we'll worry about what the long term governance of Gaza is.
J.D. Vance
But he said for now the focus is on rebuilding and safety. Jessica Rosenthal, FOX News.

President Trump says he expects to meet with China's leader at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in South Korea. This is tariff and trade concerns continue between the two.
Donald Trump
Talk about a lot of things. They want to discuss. The fact that they're paying 157% tariff. It's a little, little higher than they thought. And we're doing very well. I think we're going to do well in that negotiation.

The US Military is beefing up its presence in the Caribbean as the Trump administration says it's cracking down on drug trafficking.
Jennifer Griffin
The Pentagon is reallocating assets from the Middle east and the Pacific moving warships to the Caribbean for the past eight weeks in what looks like a major military buildup for what many fear is an undeclared war. 14% of the Navy's fleet is in the Caribbean, according to IEJ media, including a buildup of 10,000 Marines and sailors, a dozen warships, a US Navy nuclear powered fast attack submarine, a special operations mothership with drone capabilities and three guided missile destroyers, USS Stockdale Gravely and Jason Dunham and the USS Iwo Jimo, an assault ship with an amphibious ready group on board.

President Trump speaking today while also hosting Senate Republicans at the White House. As the government shutdown is about to head into its 22nd day on Wednesday, the president says he will meet with Democratic leadership, but only under one condition.
Donald Trump
I would like to meet with both of them, but I set one little caveat. I will only meet if they let the country open. They have to let the country open. The people want to go back to work. They want to be served.
Sue Guzman
House Speaker Mike Johnson and the GOP continue to push for a clean, temporary spending bill. Democrats have said they do not support continuing resolution because it doesn't include an extension on health care subsidies. Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego the reason we're.
Ruben Gallego
Not just reopening government and just voting on this because in the past Republicans have not followed through on their promises.

The Paris prosecutor says the multiple items taken during a Sunday morning heist at the Louvre museum are worth an estimated 88 million doll. That's more than $100 million, adding that doesn't include their historical value to France. The prosecutor's office is leading the investigation. Officials have already said thieves used a basket lift to reach an upper window at the back of the museum, forcing the window open, then smashing display cases in a gallery housing crown diamonds from the Napoleon era. That did trigger alarms. And a witness also called police, who arrived in two to three minutes. Still, the intruders got away. The French culture minister says the museum's security apparatus did not fail, but no details yet on how much surveill footage they have. LISA brady, FOX NEWS an auction house.
