Synthetic benzodiazepines and synthetic opioids were among the drugs seized before the U.S. supreme Court struck down President Trump's emergency based tariffs. Some of the levies enacted against China had been due to the president's concern that Chinese authorities did little to stop the sale and export of precursor chemicals required for fentanyl production.
