In Switzerland, we're seeing leaked versions of the agreement popping up, but so far no official version from the White House. President Trump saying today that positions could change in the coming negotiations. Meanwhile, ship traffic is resuming in the Persian Gulf, although the US Navy estimates it could take up to six months to clear the mines in the Strait of Hormuz. It's also unclear if Iran will start collecting a toll at the end of the upcoming 60 day negotiation period. In Dubai, Max Gordon, FOX News.

And gas and oil prices have been sliding since the tension has eased a bit. U.S. crude hovering around $77 a barrel. AAA says the national average for gas is 403 a gallon. That is down 13 cents in one week. We have our first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, and it is Arthur. Meteorologists believe the tropical storm Arthur, which formed in the Gulf, could make landfall along the Texas coast in the next few hours.

Tropical storm forest winds are expected from parts of southwest Louisiana, while widespread rainfall from 5 to 10 inches with isolated totals approaching 20 inches could lead to significant flash flooding from Texas into the deep South.

The markets overwhelmingly believe this is going a pause today. Now we saw inflation rise in May mainly because of energy prices. But now we have oil prices coming down a little bit and we have to see and get a sense of how Warsh thinks of rate cuts, which is what President Trump wants. But his committee is leaning heavily pause or some whispering of a rate hike. So he's got a very hawkish committee he's dealing with. So Kevin Wash, the 16th person to hold this title since the founding of the Fed in 1914. He indicated he'll stay independent and move on. The data markets will be watching closely.

Fox has Ed Lawrence from the White House. As the Fed wraps up its two day meeting, a report shows that shoppers are still spending. Retail sales rose nearly 1% last month, beating expectations as warmer weather and stable gas prices helped boost spending. Luigi Mangione plans to use a psychiatric defense in his New York murder trial and the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Fox's Eric Shawn has details.

Judge Gregory Caro said Mangione's lawyers told him that they will attempt to show that Mangione was suffering from extreme emotional disturbance at the time he allegedly shot United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, arguing he should not be held criminally responsible. Well, if that argument is successful, Mangione could be sent to a psychiatric treatment facility instead of going to prison.
